A little bit about myself...

  It all started
in the early 80's when my parents were doing it... Umm... That's enough of that.  I was born on May 14, 1981 to two loving parents, Kevin and Joanne.  I'm as American mutt as they come.  Apparently, I wasn't enough for them, so 14 months later they had my younger brother, Mark.  I have an older half brother, Rob (I also have a boyfriend, Rob. Don't get them mixed up!).  He is married to the lovely Lora and has two children, Erica and Thomas.  I still haveboth of my grandmothers still living, and I have an aunt on each side.  On my mother's side, I have 3 cousins, Alex, Zack and Hillary.
I was okay growing up until middle school, when I saw boys as more than just evil creatures that would pull my hair.  After spending 3 years on my knees, I came to my senses.  I met a transition person (thanks, Andy), then met Rob.

Me and Rob
I shouldn't say I "met" Rob.  I had actually known him since I was in 6th grade, but we never talked much.  As a matter of fact, my first few years of high school, he was pretty rude a few times.  It was just a "rugged exterior."  Rob and I have been together since Halloween of 1997.  We've hit some bumps, but who doesn't?  He left for UMass Lowell in 1998 and I followed a year later.  We're with each other constantly, and I'm still waiting to get sick of him 4 years later. =)

School
I'm a Junior nursing major.  It's... umm...yeah.  I like it for the most part. The work load is overwhelming to say the least.  But it's pushing me way beyond anywhere I thought I could go.  In the beginning, I was afraid to touch people, but as the months of my first clinical progressed, I learned to love showing support and compassion for people, especially laboring and post-partum mothers.  Eventually, I would like to be a Certified nurse-midwife (CNM), but that's a ways off.

Kadin
I have the best puppy ever, Kadin. She's not actually a puppy, but looking at her, you wouldn't know it.  She's a 6-year-old mini-dachshund.  She's knock-kneed in the front and bow-legged in the back.  The end of her tail was cut off when she was a puppy, and her breath smells enternally like fish sticks.  She's the bomb.

Food!
I'm a vegetarian.  No, I don't go hugging woodland creatures, and yes, I do wear deodorant.  I'm not a radical (although my bumper stickers say otherwise).  I just have a beliefs that 1) American factory farming is disgusting and inhumane.  2)  My health is important, and the risk of tons of diseases and acute attacks are slashed by not eating meat.  3) I could have just as easily been a chicken.
