My Organizations!
(I'll get pics up here eventually!)
UMass EMS is the Emergency Medical Service for UMass Lowell.  We have 2 ambulances and 5 EMT's (I'm one of them!).  I am the master of vomit.  Call x 2911 if you need me!
We also train students and staff in First Aid and CPR.  I head up the training division.  If you want to learn CPR or First Aid, let me know!  I'm more than happy to train anyone!
The ConnectoR is the UML newspaper.  My bubby is the Editor-in-Chief.  I just do photos.  Nothing else. Just photos. ;)  It's swell. It has a lot of perks.  Five of us got to go to New York for nothing and stay in Times square for the Associated Press student convention last February.  I also get all the film a gal could ever want.  Oh, I help put out a paper every week, too.
Concordia Hall Council rules!  Concordia for life!  I'm the prez and have been for the last year.  The group of us have lots of fun.  Our programs have included, carolling at a nursing home to the old folks, going on trips to Wal-mart and Victorian Park, baking cookies, hosting open mics, and making Concordia hall a fab place to live!
Along with CHC, I'm also a member of the Residence hall association.  It's like hall council, but on a larger scale for the entire campus.  We do all kinds of big programs.  Last semester, we had a mega Bingo night.  Yay, PS2!
Quick shoutout to the Chub Club!  Fatties for life (or until we lose it all!)
The Student Nurses' Association is a national organization.  UMass Lowell has an official chapter for the first time this year.  I am one of the Junior Representatives.  I basically listen to 50 something women whine and translate it into constructive recommendations for the faculty to tweek the cirriculum.  It's not all bad.  We all have a good time in the program.  Hi, girls!
The Leadership Advisory Council is a newer group.  We plan out things like leadership retreats and help with the leadership dinners.  It's just a great way to get to know the other "leaders" on campus and network.  It also helps us motivate members and move our groups in the right direction.  Oh, it's all a lot of fun, too!
The Department to Social Services is my newest endeavor.  I'm starting to review cases of children in foster care in the Lowell area to see if they have proper placement and to make some goals for their care and education.  So far, so good.  I have a feeling it's going to be emotionally tough, but hopefully very rewarding!  Talk to me if you want to get involved!
