Wherein I Rant About The Annoyingness of Couples in AnC
I`ve never understood the glorious priveledge that comes from always liking the cannon couples until I started watching Ayashi no Ceres.
The main cahracter, Aya, is in love with this ugly, annoying, ugly, personality-less, ugly, past-less, ugly, expressionless -- did I say ugly? -- guy who is TRYING TO KILL HER!! She`s seen him .. twice? And she`s in love with him.
On the other hand, there`s this really sweet guy Aya is staying with named Yuuhi. He`s totally in love with her, and is waiting for her to get over the stupid, ugly Touya. He`s a cook, HOTT, funny, HOTT, sweet, HOTT, fights with chopsticks, HOTT, has an interesting past, HOTT -- yeah, you get the point.
And Aya wants Touya. And Yuuhi never gets her. Ever.
It`s stupid. She meets Touya once when he pushes her out of the way of a truck (he was on orders) once in a tree, when he kisses her to shut her up, and then, once again, when he`s kidnapping her brother.
Then, 3 episodes later, she`s all like "I LOVE you, Touya!!!" And he`s like "I-belive-that-I-may-love-you-too." In his stupid monotonous voice.
When did this happen
Yuuhi tells her he loves after she tells him that haivng someone special in your life is the best way to feel better about bad things happening. He also is invincible to all powers thrown at him as long as he is protecting Aya and wearing his bandana. He also fights with chopsticks, like, knocks them out by hitting pressure points. He`s so cool.
Touya always justlooks like this -_-
Touya: -_- I-love-you-so-much-Aya-I-don`t-know-anything-about-you-and-I`m-10-odd-years-older-than-you-but-whatever. -_-
The guy wears a belly shirt!! A BELLY SHIRT!! Ugh.
The stupid fixation on their relationship completely RUINED the entire anime for me. The fact that all these awesome characters and events were going on in the background was utterly lost in the face of this annoying couple and their annoying adventures and annoyingville.
This was pointless, disjointed, and stupid, but whatever! It relieved stress. Take it and use it well.
