skinny dipping with friends near Melbourne - sun, sea, me and my naga My name is Rory Innes-Mills. I was born a little after six in the morning in Singapore on the 9th of April 1966. I have spent most of my life in New Zealand and Australia but I studied in Indonesia for a year and that was fun.

From 1998 until 2001 I lived in a town called Mimasaka in Japan. The Japanese government - through the JET Program - payed me to facilitate the spread of a virus known as 'Engrish'. I worked at Mimasaka Junior High School and was involved with Mimasaka English Club and Mimasaka International Exchange Association.

Here are some of my yarns from Japan.

I met my wife Takako while I was living in Japan and we got married there on July 2001. It was wiicked and so is she.

I left Japan and went to East Timor where I worked as an International Observer in the 2001 election and then as an interpreter while I waited for Takako to get her Australian spouse visa.

We are currently cruising the planet and will be stopping in on Japan, Europe, Canada, New Zealand and any other places that take our fancy.

I'll give anything a go and have worked as a tour guide, sound technician (roadie), dogman, forklift driver, kiwifruit farmer and nurseryman. I have a Bachelor of Asian Studies degree. Here is my C.V.

I try to live a simple life. Air conditioners, fridges, freezers, microwave ovens, heaters, televisions, videos, cars, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, aftershave and underpants are things I try to live without. Why - I'm not sure.

I love music, cooking, playing taiko drums, the sea, snowboarding, riding my bike, camping and my wife Takako - she rocks my world!
