07/02/03 (thanx g-g.net) From thewb.com: This year, Lorelai and Rory find their dreams within reach... well, almost. Rory's finally arrived at the Ivy League, but finds her new status attracts a lot of attention from her grandparents. She will begin to get a taste of just why her mother ran away from home those many years ago. Lorelai is about to realize her lifelong dream of owning her own country inn. In the meantime, food still needs to be put on the table and bills need to be paid, so Lorelai takes on a number of odd jobs, with an emphasis on the word "odd." But the new season's biggest surprise comes with an unexpected romance that will once again test Lorelai's loyalty - and patience - for her parents. From spiced: wouldn't count jess out. just heard a few days ago that jared will be back at least one or two more eps, more depending on his schedule. my guess is there'll be a new love interest in school and just when things are good, jess will come on back. just a guess. edited post cause it looks like i made a typo, but i didn't. dean/jared is coming back at some point, not sure when. my point being that since they're bringing jared back, they'll most likely bring jess back. 07/01/03 Chad Michael Murray is in the August issue of YM, one of the 20 Hottest Guys. 06/16/03 Murray to play Duff's prince in 'Cinderella' Hollywood Reporter by Zorianna Kit June 9, 2003 Chad Michael Murray, who starred as the Lone Ranger in the recent WB Network telefilm of the same name, will star opposite Hilary Duff in Warner Bros. Pictures/Gaylord Films' "Cinderella Story." The project is set to go into production June 30 with Mark Rosman at the helm and studio-based Dylan Sellers producing with Clifford Werber and Gaylord's Hunt Lowry. Duff toplines the "Clueless"-meets-"Cinderella" story, a modern-day comedy set in Southern California's San Fernando Valley. The tale revolves around a young and slightly dorky high school student who goes through a transformation, becoming one of the hottest girls in school. Murray would play her love interest. Warners creative executive Alysia Cotter brought the project into the studio and will oversee. Duff's mother, Susan Duff, will receive a co-executive producer credit. Signing Murray to the film shows synergy at work between the Warner TV and film divisions. In addition to his work on the WB's "Lone Ranger," Murray was a recurring on the network's "Dawson's Creek" and "The Gilmore Girls." He will next star in the WB midseason replacement series "One Tree Hill." Murray is repped by CAA, Bonnie Liedtke and Simmonds Management.

07/20/03 From kisscathy: Kristin--any word on who will be in One Tree Hill--the WB show replacing Fearless on the fall schedule? Chad Michael Murray, Moira Kelly (C.M.M.'s onscreen mom), a new cutie who's a real-life basketball stud and Hilarie Burton (TRL host). It's about two half brothers vying for the same spot on the varsity team--and the same girl. It's Dawson's meets B-ball Varsity Blues, sans whipped cream and bad acting. From dkandice: Why no blind item this time around? Here's one for ya: At last night's party, Chad Michael Murray (star of the new One Tree Hill, which actually doesn't suck) spent most of the night joined at the hip with another new WB star. Guesses? From cesarecat: They're saying Hilary Duff--is this true? "They" are right. Hilary was there last night to promote her two concert shows with the WB and spent most of the night at C.M.M.'s side, including a brief moment of hand-holding, which I saw with my own peepers. However, given that Chad is of legal drinking age and Hilary is not of legal driving age (she's celebrating sweet 16 in a few months), I'm sure the cute little flirtation is entirely innocent! thanx to Kristin @ eonline.com 07/19/03 Episode One: The season starts when the girls get back from their Europe trip. They stayed longer than they meant to and are in a rush to prepare Rory for Yale. Luke doesn't elaborate much on his trip with Nicole. Finally, when Lorelai asks him point-blank if he proposed to Nicole, he admits that he did and they got married on the boat, but then realized they'd made a mistake and are getting divorced. Lane tells Rory that Dave has moved to California, but they're still together. Lane is going to the Christian school. The Soda Shoppe opens. Emily gets mad when Lorelai doesn't come to dinner with Rory, as she's busy getting last-minute things for Rory, who's leaving the next day. She keeps Rory at her house until very late, resulting in Lorelai being deprived of their last-night plans. Lorelai ends up going to the grandparents' house to be with Rory, which is not at all what they'd planned for Rory's last night. Returning (or not) Supporting Characters: Jess: It is not yet yet known one way or the other whether or not Jess will return to Stars Hollow and Gilmore Girls now that his spin-off has been cancelled. It is known, however, that Milo Ventimiglia is no longer under contract with Gilmore Girls or the WB. Dean: Season Three was Dean's last season as a regular on Gilmore Girls, although he will be appearing once or twice in the future, as a guest star. Dave: Adam Brody, the actor who plays Dave, has a new show on FOX, so Dave will not be on Gilmore Girls next season except for at least one episode to wrap up loose ends. Louise: Louise will be back for three episodes or so. New Character Casting: A pretty female RA (To find out what an RA is, click here) Child-prodigy type girl as Rory's roommate College-age guy friend, NOT a love interest (credit to .org)
Hot Dawg: Mum's the word--and so is mom. When I met up with Alexis Bledel of Gilmore Girls at the WB party, she was tight-lipped (shocker!) about what's ahead this season, but I did score a few snippets: She's "pretty sure" Liza Weil (Paris) returns, at least for an episode or two; they're introducing a new love interest in college for her; and she's "hoping she has a say who--that would be great." Most importantly, she seems legitimately confident that the show won't jump the shark, despite the jump from high school to college (Arrrghhh! Shades of 90210 and Dawson's Creek!). "Rory is going to college and Lorelai will have her own inn, so they'll be building their own separate lives but keeping their relationship up. Actually, I think it might even be more interesting." What you'll probably find more interesting--her thoughts on Milo Ventimiglia's spinoff getting the old heave-ho. "It sucks," she lamented with a slight pout. "I think it would've been a really cool show, and I wanted it to happen for Milo. It wasn't anybody's fault, but they couldn't make it work within the parameters of the budget, because they would've had to shoot on location, and it was a big budget mess." But surely, now that his pilot has gone up to the hot-dog stand in the sky, Jess returns to Stars Hollow, right? I asked Alexis just that, and here was her noticeably anguished reply, which began with a pause so pregnant there was no time for an epidural: "Ummm....hmmm...yeah. I don't know if he's going to be able to. I don't think so. It'd be great if he could come back, but I just don't know." Listen closely, and you can hear the sound of a scorned Froggie jumping ship. thanx to Kristin @ eonline.com

From browneyes1114: Call me hopeless, but is there any chance of Tristan coming back to Gilmore Girls this season? I'm still hoping for a romance between him and Rory. Nope--Chad Michael Murray has his own new show, One Tree Hill. Trust me, this is a good thing. B-ball show. More need to go shirtless.
