Well, another glorious holiday has come to an end. The older we get, the faster the time seems to go. As you can see, I finished our last day at Liberty Suites, with a dip in the pool. We had a safe, but extremely rainy, trip home. The pictures below will show you what we found when we arrived home. The temperature was      - 12 degrees (F). Needless to say, these old Queens were not amused!!!
Before leaving for Florida, I had seen a specialist in Toronto, about the constant pain in my right leg. Other doctors, tests and x-rays over the past 3 to 4 years had told me it was everything from a pinched nerve, a slipped disc, arthritis in the knee etc. etc. This latest specialist was certain that I had Osteo Artritis in the right hip and that the only possible cure was a complete hip replacement. However, we were told that the earliest he could do the operation was Sept to Oct 2001, but that he would put me on a cancellation list. When we returned from our trip, to our surprise, they had a cancellation and gave me an appointment to replace the hip pn March 15th. I am thrilled to tell all, that it is now just over 4 weeks since the procedure was done and I can already walk without a cane WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN AT ALL.   What a relief!!
