made a fantastic throw almost three times further than anyone else in his group and went on to win the Gold medal. Everyone was so proud of him and there were a few tears and lots of cheers. In the afternoon we enjoyed the rides and entertainment in the park. Friday evening and Saturday were spent watching various social and swimming events which Jack is not yet old enough to enter. Sunday, we were at the South Leeds Stadium and joined up with the adult transplant teams for the track events. Jack ran for his life in his 50 metre race and crossed the line in first place securing another Gold medal! A team of seven children from the Bristol Children's Hospital took part in the games gaining two gold, one silver and two bronze medals between them. The day ended with the parade of athletes around the stadium and the games were declared closed, We had a fantastic weekend and Jack is already looking forward to next year's games which are being held in Cambridge. He will be starting his 'serious training' early next year. To end an extremely exciting week Jane Solomons came to interview Jack at home and we appeared on the HTV news!!!!! Did you see us?
