Recently I attended a meeting on South Somerset Homes Housing Management Comprehensive Service Review Consultation - too many words I know, but the gist of it is that South Somerset Homes are working hard at delivering the 'Best Value' service to it's tenants. A few aspects of 'Best Value' are: Continuous improvement of services, Tenant Involvement, Accountability and openness, Measuring best value and more. Part of 'Best Value' may include holding monthly meetings where tenants can discuss on a one to one basis any concerns they have with our housing officer, Stan Hill; Stan has just taken over West Coker from Janet Proctor. transport, baby-sitting, etc. If any South Somerset Homes tenants are interested in training, there is a comprehensive list of all kinds of varying courses available, again, please contact me and I will point you in the right direction! I know that any mention of the word 'windows' runs an air of excitement down the backs of any of us living in a South Somerset Homes house - especially Lakefields. Well, a little bird told me that we will be sorted shortly! By shortly, I would reckon another year, so perhaps too much excitement may not be a good thing just yet however, we are almost ready for the next 5 yearly maintenance makeover, fingers crossed!
