McDONALD FAMILY PROFILE

The McDonald Family is some what of a mystery to me.  My belief from family history and Liscomb history lead me to believe the McDonald's acestory is Mic Mac Native.  But I have no paper proof of this.  In fact, the only piece of evidence of nationality is in a census which lists the head of the McDonald family as Scottish.  This is still an on-going search.  My grandmother, Eva Selina McDonald, certainly appeared to have native blood and we, me and my immediate family, carry native facial features.
In the past few weeks, new information has come into my hands about the McDonald family. I give much of this credit to Jean Langille of Country Harbour for telling me about Philip L. Hartling's book, "Where Broad Atlantic Surges Roll."  In his book, Philip, informs that the McDonalds that settled in Harrigan Cove were from Shelburne County.  From his information, I have updated my webpage.
