APPLEBY FAMILY PROFILE
The Appleby name arrived in Newfoundland (then a British Colony) around the 1840s and many of the descendants remained around Burin Bay. A few families moved to Halifax, NS and eventually in the 1980s a few moved west. (Note: Newfoundland became part of Canada in 1949).
