Rag Week 2003
So I hear it was rag week last week. Wasnt that nice. Well yeah it was. And inspired by the miserable efforts of Dave Francis effort of doing a piece on rag-week in 2002, I decided to do my own little review of this years events. So hopefully I can remember all that happened during the week, and apologies to any insults some people may find.

Sunday:
I arrived in Limerick bright and early on Sunday. Once JJ bus dropped me off in town, I walked home before walking back into town for the shopping. We bought enough crap for the week ahead and we then headed back home. Joe and myself headed through a pack of scumbags for some Chinese fodder. That was fair sweet. Once that was eaten, and the girls plus JP had arrived, we headed for the Curraghgower for pints. Dave and Bird also joined us there and we began a week long session. Time wasnt long passing, and before we knew it, it was closing time and we all headed for our place. This was to become a recurring theme for the rest of the week.

Monday:
Got up nice and early Monday morning, around 10ish. I had an unusually big breakfast, 4 pieces of Wheat Bisks instead of the usual 3, plus coffee and toast or something. Myself, Joe, JP and Pecker headed for the Davin around the 11 mark. We were greeted with the bungee jump. We stood around there for a while and watched a few jumping. This didnt last long as it was shocking windy, so we headed into the Davin and started drinking Budweiser. I dont usually drink that but it was only 3 a pint and that was too tempting to miss out on. The whole was spent there and we headed off home around 5 oclock. The hunger was kicking in. I forget what I had for dinner, I think it was chips and pork chops. We didnt spend too long at home because we wanted to go see Leicester and Portsmouth on telly. So once Anto and Creano arrived in our gaff, we headed once again for the Curraghgower to watch the match. That finished one all, and we departed for New Mollies in town. It was freezing on the way into town, luckily we were fairly happy, or twisted, so we didnt really feel how bad it was. Once we were settled in town, we had more beer. Mollies wasnt too packed and I got a seat after a while. On the advice of Maura, we headed for The Globe. I didnt really mind that because I kinda like the Globe, and Docs would probably be jointed. So, after Maura bit my finger (I dont remember why) we got to the Globe and had a few pints. We were up boogying for ages, until some gimp who was spinning around hit Pecker. Kung Fu Pecker wasnt at all impressed and decided to have a go at the spanner that hit him. But yer man done his Raul impression, and decided to pray in front of Pecker. This infuriated Mr. Pecker even further and he made another burst for the geezer. By now though the bouncers had arrived and they escorted Pecker outside. I got his coat and threw it out at him, before I turned and tried explaining what happened to one of the bouncers. After all, Pecker was wrongfully accused and convicted. The tool of a bouncer was having none of what I had to say and he threatened to boot me out too. So I gave up and I headed back upstairs. I finished off the night at the Globe before heading back home with Mo. Poor Mo wouldnt walk, so we both got a taxi. Cheers Mo for paying for that by the way. We got home in no time, and after pricking around for a spell, everyone headed for bed and get a good kip.

Tuesday:
Not a whole lot happened on Tuesday, mainly because we had all decided to stay in that night. Id say the most of us got up around the 12 or 1 mark. I got a bit to eat and headed for the college with the intention of doing some project stuff. Our project leaders or whatever they are screwed us up the shitter big time over the last week or so. They changed our schedule so as wed have to work during rag week. They were fucked out of it more times. Anyway, I did no project on Tuesday. I went to play footy in gale force winds. It was a complete waste of time to be honest because if you kicked the ball 10 yards forward, it was blown 10 miles backwards. I lasted at that for about an hour before heading in and then going home. The girls were going to the cinema later that night and they were starting to get ready when we got back to the house. Once the grub was eaten, and the girls gone to watch some flick, it was Mario Kart time. We played 3 championships, and Dave won all 3. Lucky bollox. I still say hes cheating. I came 2nd twice behind him and 3rd once. Pecker finished 2nd that time. We were all tired by time it was over, it was around 1 oclock in the morning, so Dave went home and everyone else went to bed. After I was asleep for about 2 hours, the girls arrived home. No problem there one thinks. But the noise they made was un-fuckin-real. The neighbours even complained about it the next day. So once I was awake, I couldnt go back to sleep. A bit of a singsong started and there was jumping on the floor; I believe we have Nigel to thank for that. This carried on for ages, and I was hoping theyd shut up and go home or to bed because I was bursting for a piss by now. Once I turned a suitable shade of purple from trying to hold it in, I was contemplating pissing out the window. Eventually I just got up and went half way down the stairs. I waited till the singing started again. Once it did, I made a run for the bog and had a sweet piss. I stood in the kitchen again till the singing restarted before making a burst for my room again. The noise stopped after 4 sometime, everyone went away, including Mo, but Nigel stayed in the girls room. The noise had stopped so it was back to dreamland for myself, Colm and probably Pecker.
