| Well as you know, we travelled to Kerry the same night as the trip to Limerick. I was kinda pissed off because we didnt seem to know where we were going. By that I mean the direction. Our first port of call was in Listowel where we stalled for chips. We all poured out of the car, had a quick stretch and headed into a chipper. I think it was called Jumbos but Im not sure. It was a bit of a crazy place. The bird behind the counter was a bit slow. The place was weird anyway. Its not like usual fast food places where you pay for the grub when you order, here you paid when you got your grub. Kerry eh? The food was grand though. I wasnt able to eat it all so JP did the business for me. Speaking of JP, he forgot to pay altogether until the chic behind the counter called him up. He also ran back in for us when we left the place for a sup of water. We wanted a carton/plastic cup of water but JP appeared out with a few bottles. It must of cost him a fortune. Hes some man. Once we left, Id reckon the bird that served us was happy to see us go. Myself and Joe had an argument over who should get a burger she had. It was Joes so he got it. Once we left, Id say she downed a vallium to came herself!! We headed from Listowel towards Ballybunion because this is where we had agreed on to pick up our stone. It didnt take long to touch down at our destination. And the first thing we did was play on the playground. It was years since I had a go on swings and stuff like that so that was great craic. The weather was ok but it was fairly windy. Once we got off the playground, it was time for the beach and cool enough, the tide was out. And that meant the beach was ours. The street lights lit up the whole beach so, as we are sporty people, out came the football and it was time to kick ass on the sand. It was some craic there. 5 of us running around like muppetts after a ball on a beach at 1 oclock in the morning. We could have been arrested. Dave got tired quickly enough and he began writing stuff in the sand. The rest of us had a look at the cliffs, the caves and anything else the place had to offer. Once the footy was over, we headed with our torchs up the cliff to a castle that was built there. It was fair cool. The place was blocked off because it was so dangerous up on it. We werent long climbing over that and getting a closer look. After that, we headed for the beach again and to try get our stone. But as you know, the task had to be completed first. And what was the task? Well it was crazy. Off came the shoes and socks and the trousers were rolled up. And into the sea we headed. We decided that we had to walk in 3 times. And that was tough. Simply because it was freezing. The first time was the worst and we went in until our ankles were covered. Once in, the 5 second rule was in place before we could get out and once that time was up, out we came. We were all frozen by now. But we completed our task anyway, going in twice more and getting more wet each time. Once out, we located the stones. They are cool stones aswell. Completely black so they are. By the way I should mention that Dave didnt do the task. He ran around like a tit on the beach instead. He still got a stone anyway. So after we did a little hippy dance on the beach we headed for the car and we sat in to try dry our feet. |
