SYNOPSIS:
| Yuli's all grown up, much to the Ronins� delight. This is the first of a series of epilogues to her "Fair Game" story. |

| What can I say? If you�re not familiar with Tenshi�s work, you shouldn�t even be here. Either way, pack your bags. This imaginative author takes us yet again on a raunchy trip through the Ronin Universe, leaving no desires unsatisfied, no orifice unexplored. |

| I have a little "black book" that contains fics I just LOVE to read. Guess what fic is in said book? This is the first follow up to Tenshi's "Fair Game" story, and it's by far the hottest one. |

| Mish and I both worship at the alter of Tenshi's genius, she has these characters down pat. And though Yuli is an established character in the Ronin universe, you wouldn't know it from reading "Azure Bead." I think she has Yuli figured out perfectly. The story is set 10 years after the initial conflict with Talpa, and one would figure Yuli would still hang around his heroes. In "Azure Bead," Tenshi shows how 10 years of hanging around the boys can mold a young boy's mind. I can't stand the kid in the show; in this fic, however... Unnn! |

This highlight shall be our first stop on the tour through Azure Bead: Tenshi�s great character development of Yuli. As you will notice, even though Yuli is not an original character, his personality is. He�s definitely not the 9-year-old we know from the show. I think Tenshi did an excellent job of assigning new characteristics to an already established character. The older, becoming wiser Yuli that Tenshi creates is totally believable, and even has depth to him.
excerpt: Yuli�s eyebrows frowned. He had never lost his childhood paranoia of being an inconvenience to any of them. "Maybe� we could share? This thing has RMS "Titanic" on it somewhere�" |

| This brings us to our second spotlight of the tour, the humour. Every other sentence ends with a punch line, each one just as funny as the first. Tenshi incorporates them in the fics so subtly that one could only imagine it�s natural for her. |

I myself love a good laugh when I'm reading fics. As usual, with Tenshi's work, I wasn't disappointed!
excerpt: The couch WAS warm, and so was Yuli, his breath soft and slightly moist against the exposed skin of Rowen�s nape, one arm around Rowen�s waist, long fingers barely brushing his navel. Yuli smelled good too, like honeysuckle shampoo and hot chocolate. It wasn�t what Rowen would term "comfortable". More like, "sensual as hell" |

| The next landmark, and this is certainly the pinnacle of the trip, is the pure Plot What Plotness. I�ll let my assistant tour guide and self-proclaimed expert in this area, Mako, take over now. =) |

| Why, thank ye! Unlike Mish, I love PWP's! Our recent run of serious angst and sap was starting to get to me. Now I won't lie to you, I LOVE a certain blue haired Ronin, and this fic centers on him, as well as Yuli. Tenshi writes a grown Rowen the way one would think he is: smart-mouthed, sarcastic, and just purely hilarious�and because this is yaoi, very, very sensual! As for the good bits, well, it's getting into summer here, and I live in a semi-desert, so my water-bill should be a real DOOZY! Just read the whole series! |

| A 9 out of 10 for Tenshi from me. Tenshi is one of the cornerstone Ronin Yaoi author�s, and her entire Bead series is among my favourites of her fics. |

9 out of 10. Though it's good, I think she could have added a bit more to the sex scenes. ;)~~
