The National Transplant Games are one of the ways that we as members of Transplant Australia, can show the wider community, and more importantly, our Donor Families, just how well we can become after a transplant. I know how hard it was for me, to just get out of a lounge chair,. and now, my fitness has improved dramatically. The Transplant Games also raises the awareness of Organ Transplantation, and by doing that, it shows those who are Organ Donors, or those still thinking about it, some of the possitive sides for making their decission.
The 8th National Transplant Games were held recently on Qld's Gold Coast and I was priviledged to have been part of those procedings. Months of preparation in mind, body, and raising sponsorship, culminated in what was one of the most wonderful weeks of my life. My sporting skills aside, (results are to the right) the Games and the lead up to them have provided me with a new sense of self worth and achievement, along with a multitude of new friends.
After a successful 8th National Transplant Games I am now offered the experience of a lifetime. I have been selected to represent Australia in Nancy, France in July 2003, for the 14th World Transplant Games being held there. What an honour that is! This is where I will keep you all up to date on my progress.
My World Games progress was put on hold due to open heart surgery. My Canadian World Games is also cancelled due to more possible surgery. My Old Kidneys are misbehaving again.
Maybe Thailand in 2007 will be my first.

I was knocked out of a chance of anything higher by my doubles partner Mark Cocks. Anyone would think he was a semi-finalist at Wimbleton or something like that.
