"TEEN SMOKERS SPEAK OUT" is a 16 minute video which was created to help prevent kids 8-13 years old from starting to smoke cigarettes.

The film presents advice from teenagers who smoke cigarettes, can't quit and wish they had never started.

Reasons the teenagers give the kids for not starting include:

health problems
shortness of breath
dating difficulties
problems playing sports
sleeping difficulty
coughing up mucous
decreased concentration ability
difficulty finding places to buy cigarettes
difficulty finding places to smoke cigarettes
increased running and swimming times
voice hoarseness
cost of cigarettes

The video is supplied with a questionnaire which the kids complete after viewing the video.  Responses have been positive and can be found at video reviews.

The video is not copyrighted and written and signed permission is given (in the video itself ) by the producer to duplicate and distribute the work in any manner desired.  The video is currently being promoted nationally by a tour.  The cities that the tour plans to visit can be found on the tour schedule.

The video cameraman was surprised at how anxious the teens that smoke were to be allowed to help the kids to never start smoking by being recorded on camcorder.  He believes every community might make a similar video by local teen smokers which would be even more effective than the present video.
