Like every year, the birthday of King Bhumibol Rama IX was the occasion of important festivities throughout the Kingdom. Muay Thai naturally takes an important place and this year, four fighters from Rompo Gym were lucky enough to be selected for official fights.
Fizal from Sudan fought twice, won the first match, lost the second. Mohamed from Irak accepted to fight, old style, read without gloves, a Burmese opponent that he successfuly defeated. Tamir from Palestine had an awesome fight that he won by decision. Knowing how difficult it is for a farang to win by decision in Thailand, Tamir surely deserves a lot of credit for that one. Finally, Itzik from Israel lost his fight.

Shuki will fight on December 14th and Tony on December 27th, best luck to both of them!

Shuki, Fisal and Danny are scheduled to fight in Chachoengsao near Pattaya.
Shuki, taking advantage of his reach succesfully kept his opponent at distance while landing several heavy blows. He won by decision after 5 rounds.
Fisal, always spectacular with his now famous axe kicks, lost by decision after 5 rounds despite the severe beating he inflicted his opponent. The later courageously stood his ground and took advantage of Fisal technical mistakes to score the points that finally made the difference.
Danny faced an experienced and determined opponent who managed to turn Danny's weaknesses to his advantage. Let's mention three very strong projections always executed according to the same pattern, the opponent lauches a middle kick knowing that Danny will immediately counter with the same technique, he then proceed on grabing the expected leg and proceed with a sweep.
