and Goods Agudo at Maribago Blue Waters in Cebu.

After Maribago Blue Waters, we picked-up MM Cruz at Sia's residence and had lunch at Jo's Chicken Inato.  Just a day past my birthday, the group decided to treat me to a hearty chicken barbecue.

As part of Bernard's Itinerary prepared for us, He took us to Fort San Pedro the oldest fort in the Philippines, a Spanish era fort converted into a museum where some of the artifacts from the newly discovered sunken San Diego Galleon.

Some of the artifacts from San Diego were exhibited around the world.  Modern SCUBA Diving equipment 'Aqualung' inventor and founder of Costeau Society Jacques Yves Costeau was one of the explorers who went here.

Both rowers of 2 different kinds (sculling & dragon boat)
Red Feria and I tried our team playing skills on a sea kayak.

     As
part of the NLTC Outing Itinerary, we went to Magellan's Cross and Basilica Minore del Santo Niņo.

It was here that Magellan came ashore, introduced Christianity and performed baptism on 800 natives including Rajah Humabon and Queen Juana.

After the Conference, the brothers and sisters of Lingkod Alabang went to Bohol for a three day vacation.

The same day we went back to Cebu from Bohol, the group decided to visit Kawasan Falls

Bernard Sia lent us his Tamaraw FX and also accompanied us to Kawasan Falls.  We met Bros Flores, Mylene Romero, Merkle and Bonbon at Kawasan.

This was a great way to end our trip to Cebu.

We  went to Cebu as delegates of Ang Lingkod Ng Panginoon National Leadership Training Conference 2001.  Lucky, Mini & I decided to fly to Cebu two days earlier.  Incidentally, we met Goods at the airport that same day.

Our host and good friend Bernard Sia picked us up at the airport and brought us to Maribago Blue Waters for an early day-of-prayer.

My second time in Cebu but the first time I've been to the beach, all the write-ups I have read about the beaches in Cebu are confirmed.  I am impressed by the natural beauty of the environment and the way people managed it.

4th day of Ang Lingkod Ng Panginoon National Leadership Training Conference was the most awaited Delegation Outing.

Hadsan beach was our destination where you can rent Sea Kayaks, Water Cycles and outrigger boats to tour neighboring islands or have a glimpse of famous landmarks from the sea.

MAGELLAN'S CROSS
This cross of Tindalo Wood encases the original cross
planted by
Ferdinand Magellan on this very site April 21, 1521

Nearby is the Basilica, formerly known as San Agustin Church.  It was built in 1565 to house the country's most celebrated religious relic, a small statue of the Santo Niņo, patron saint of Cebu, said to have been Magellan's baptismal gift to Queen Juana.
