The Vestal Little League opened its 31st season May 9 with the annual Little League parade. At opening day ceremonies, Mom Angelo was presented with a large floral arrangements from all 22 teams in recognition of her years of service.

On Tuesday, July 14, in a game long steady drizzle, Oneonta defeated the Vestal East All-Stars 10-1 behind the curveball  pitching of future NY Yankee, Clay Bellinger. Vestal East was led by the batting of Dennis Nealon who went 2 for 3, a double and single. Vestal West was also defeated by  eventual District 7 champion Waverly 6-4, led by Willie Eller's first inning grand slam homerun.Chris Hartley led Vestal with a triple and a single.
