In a thrilling playoff game before a packed Angelo Field, Rotarians defeated Kiwanis 3-0 in 12 innings !!! George Kroculick and Steve Beach hooked up for a scoreless dual after 6 innings. Keith Peabody and Bob Phillips continued for another 5 innings. Peabody was the eventual winner, as the Rotarians scored 3 times in the top of the 12 th inning.
Week 1.....Steve Beach (Kiwanis) pitched a no hitter as Kiwanis defeated Westons 6-0.
Gary Whitney( Rotarians) hit 2 home runs in a victory over Barney & Dick.
Week 2.....George Kroculick (Rotarians) pitches a 2 hitter in a 3-0 win over Kiwanis.
Ray Buglione (Carsons) pitches a no hitter in a 4-0 victory over Fountains.
Rusty Bronson (Harris's) pitches a no hitter and hits a 2 run homer in a victory over Post 89.
Week 3.....Keith Peabody's (Rotarians) home run cannot stop Barney & Dicks 5-4 win over Rotarians.
Steve Beach (Kiwanis) pitches a one-hitter, 14 strikeout, game as Kiwanis beats LaZenka 7-1.
Rusty Bronson (Harris's) pitches a no hitter in a 4-0 win over Fountains.
Chris Dunham (Post 89) pitches a no hitter in a 8-1 victory over Vestal Police.
Week 4.....Karl Entholt (Rotarians) pitches a one-hitter in a
13-0 win over Westons.
Bobby Brown (Harris's) pitches a one hitter in a 3-2 victory over Carsons Rotary.
Week 5..... Rusty Bronson (Harris's) pitches his third no hitter of the season in a 12-0 win vs. Fountains.
Week 6.....Roger Stedge (Westons) hits his 2nd home run of the season.
Week 7.....a 12 inning East championship game ends when Rotarians out scores Kiwanis 3-0.
Week 8.....VLL East League championRotarians defeats VLL West League champion Harris's 7-5 to claim the overall Vestal title.
