Lua - the programming language
Lua , got to know about it just today by my ex-project guide. The compiler is just 11k in size and the lauguage is dynamically typed. Check the Website for more information.
Weak Typing
Particuarly when I was stuck at a place where we had use generic XML_TYPE to pass it across through SOAP Requests to an unknown Web Service..this
article from
Bruce Eckel speaks about Weak Typing and Weakly Typed.
A more pragmatic UI ??
My mom is preety new to computers...All she does is use Yahoo messenger to chat with my brother..What I have noticed is that, they find it hard to use a completely UI driven OS like *Microsoft Windows 98*. Now why cant
UI be more practical. Why cant they be more
*Real World* oriented...more easier to perceive. Microsoft spends loads on hiring artists to design these, totally non-sensible UI. They are, companies who impose the way we use the computer...why cant we have a more intutive highly configurable UI...
Nokia LifeBlog
I read about this a couple of week ago and this is so porfeessionally out now...
moblogs seem to be catching up preety fast...but the Question is, how ethical is this to *people who mis-use mobile phnone*...is this a way to encourage an already controversial aspect of this technology?
Longhorn - WinFS
I have been reading a lot about this new revolutionary
file-system now a days. It claims to be the most ubiquitous file-systems ever to have built. Can store data of any type. A single mechanism to access it. Will this be the most admired solution from Windows so far. But, one thing for sure. Axis is ubiquitous. You can practically do anything related to Web Services with this tool-kit. Speak about inter-conversion between WSDL and Java, it provides
wsdl2java and java2wsdl. And a tool to debug called
tcpmon -
TCP monitor to log http messages and responses, both SOAP and plain HTTP. And it just doesn't end here. For every tool, it is equally important to be interoperable with it variants from other resources. The apiDocs is the standard Java style for axis-java. There is also a stable release for C++ developers.
The Ring, never should have been the name. 7 days or Tape seemed more appropriate. The cinematography around cabin 12 is excellent. The director has tried to bring in a blend of Manoj Night Shymalan and Tarem Singh (director of The Cell). He has brought in all the elements which are considered scary. It could fall under any category : a psycho thriller or an unsolved mystery or a traditional ghosty movie. Watch it to know it more...
