Below:  My 2006 Buell XB12R Firebolt.  After 6 years of Hayabusa ownership, I was ready for something very different but still a whole lot of fun to ride.  I wanted a motorcycle that was very light, but with a powerful, especially torquey engine.  After years of putting up with 6,000 mile to 12,000 mile valve inspection intervals and major tune ups costing $500+ a pop, not to mention dealership mechanics that don't know their ass from their head, I also wanted a bike that was low maintenance and simple to own so I can do most if not all the maintenance myself.  The Firebolt fit the bill perfectly.  It is nimble, a lot of fun to ride, with a wonderfully torquey V-Twin engine.  I have fitted my Firebolt with a Zero Gravity ST screen.

Pic above was taken at the top of Palomar mountain and the bike is fitted with a CARGO brand rear tail bag.  The Firebolt is powered by a simple, 1203cc aircooled V-Twin developing 105 bhp and more importantly, 85 ft. lbs. of torque.  That power is sent to a 5-speed gearbox and a Belt Drive.  It is about as basic a motorcycle can get but it brings a smile to my face that no bike has ever given me!  I also think it is a handsome looking motorcycle.
