Below: At the Sea Lion lookout, there were these guys begging for food. Despite the huge signs that read "Do NOT Feed The Animals", people, men and women alike, would be feeding the chipmunks & birds. The animals were so used to it, they feed right off your hands! This particular one had balls! He walked right up to me even though I had no food. I just pretended I had food.

Below: Anytime people walked around the Sea Lion Lookout, the animals knew food wasn't too far. The seabirds figure they just needed to be close and eventually, someone would give them a handout. The sign said it all. These waters are treacherous. Anytime there are Seals there are sharks. How about the warning about "Sleeper Waves"! Don't turn your back to the water!

Back at San Simeon, we once again got together with the Bay Area crew for dinner and drinks. We had dinner at the only Mexican restuarant in San Simeon, the El Chorlito, which sat on the ocean side of Hwy 1. Thus, as we ate a hearty Mexican cuisine, we were also treated to a beautiful sunset. Around 9PM, I was pretty wiped out. The rest of the gang hung out at the local bar where there was a live band. I decided to turn in for the evening and get ready for the long ride back home the next day. So I said my goodbyes to everyone. It was always a pleasure to meet Bay Area people. They are always gracious, and fun loving people who love to ride.
