Tennessee Enemies

    Antipeonage Act Site Map.

The Department of Human Services operates the Child Support Services Division.

Among the Enemies of Freedom listed on this page has to be State Senator John Ford.  This fellow goes along with the Child Support Crusade when he is in the Legislature, but when he is affected by the very law he helped pass, he asks the courts to strike it down as unconstitutional!  Please see the article by Marc Parruscuia for further details!  Now if this provision is unconstitutional, didn't he violate his oath of office when he supported it?  You, know the oath about protecting, defending, and supporting the Constitution of Tennessee and the Constitution of the United States?

Article I Section 2 of the Tennessee Constitution declares that the doctrine of nonresistance to arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.  Amen!

Article I Section 8 of the Tennessee Constitution is the state Due Process Clause, styled after the due process provision of the Magna Carta.

Article I Section 16 of the Tennessee Constitution prohibits excessive fines and bails and cruel and unusual punishments.

Article I Section 18 of the Tennessee Constitution prohibits imprisonment for debt.

Article I Section 26 of the Tennessee Constitution declares the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms for the common defense, with legislative regulation of the wearing of arms to prevent crime.

Article I Section 33 of the Tennessee Constitution prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude.
