Article I Section 5 of the Minnesota Constitution prohibits excessive fines and bails and cruel and unusual punishments..
Article I Section 7 of the Minnesota Constitution includes the state Due Process Clause.
Article I Section 12 of the Minnesota Constitution prohibits imprisonment for debt except in cases of fraud. I guess child support is a fraud.
