My Content

Welcome to my homepage which started in January of 2007. There is not much content on my page right at the moment, because I am starting from a blank slate. I have organized my content according the Dewey Decimal System. Being from a library background, I thought this might be an interesting way to organize my site. I work in an academic library where the materials are organized by that “other” classification system – the Library of Congress Classification System, but I think the DDS is much smaller and neater to work with within the context of a webpage. The scheme or outline of the DDS looks can be seen below starting at 000 and ending in the 900’s. It is my desire that you will entertained, educated and learn a little bit about classifying information by looking through my website, so please enjoy the site and let me know what you think of my work. I will make it one of my goals for this site to add some content to each of these categories although some sections will be much larger than others. This site will be a reflection of my life, my work, my hobbies and my interests. Please e-mail me if you have any comments about my site.

* More poetry. (17/06/07)

* I’ve been a bit critical of my own work lately, but I really don’t like critics, so here’s some more poetry anyway. Sometimes I just need a little kick to stop my self defeating thinking.(15/06/07)

* I have added a section on my physical and environmental health to my Introspection Section and and there is more in the works. (24/05/07)

* I have made a couple additions to my Introspection Section and I'm working on adding a couple more sections for that page. (21/05/07)

* I have now added a running page under in the 700 field of Arts and Recreation. Entries include reports for my Rome and Boston Marathons. (19/05/07)

* I'm finished with my Italian adventure. My Roman Holiday was a marvelous adventure that left me wanting more. (19/05/07)

* I'm not sure where all this poetry is coming from. It must have been bottled inside me for some time now. It's not professional work, but it does speak of me.(07/03/07)

On the Drawing Board

* I was in the hardware store the other day and the worker I was talking to just about has me convinced that I can replace my laundry room sink without hiring a plumber. Stay tuned for another home improvement project.

I am giving some thought to the next entry in my Introspection Section. It will include another Blog which is quite different form my Workout Blog, so I've decided to seperate them. On second thought I'm going to integrate this stuff into my Workout Blog. You already have read some entries that I started a few months ago.

Welcome to Rodney’s Virtual Home

Welcome to Rodney’s Virtual Home. I have lived and work in Fredericton the capital city of New Brunswick most of my life. Now I’m about to share some pieces my life with you. My intention has been fulfilled. It is now the fall of 2007 and I have started Library School at Dalhousie University. I am no longer living in Fredericton. I now reside in the big city of Halifax. I am looking forward to learning all about the new city I will call home for the next two years and I will try to share some of it with you in words and images. My family is now a bit farther away from me so I do not have some immediate sources of support that I would have had in the past, but this too is an opportunity for growth. I'm looking forward to this new period of my life with great curiosity and anticipation.

I would like to hear what you have to say about my website or just e-mail me to say hello!

Quotations Worth Sharing:

"People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the course of the rivers, at the vast ocean, at the motion of the stars and yet they pass by themselves without wondering." - - Saint Augustine(18/08/07)
