   Rococo Poker Rules

Rococo Poker is a 5 cards draw poker game. It is played with a standard 4-suit 52-card deck. The buttons (or commands) that cannot be used during a certain phase will be disabled.  The turn of each player goes clockwise. This game is divided into 6 phases :

phase 1.  Each player receives 5 cards and they automatically place the ante which is 1 $.

phase 2. Without seeing his cards, the first player could make a decision for a
game, by choosing any amount from 1 to 10 $ and than BLIND button. Once a blind game is declared, all the other players must announce their participation in the game. They can either raise the jackpot even more, they can pay the amount of money equal to the previous wage or they can cancel the participation in the current game. All the players must play until they bet the same amount or they fold.
If the first player doesn't want to declare a blind game he can chose DISPLAY button to see his card.

phase 3. Every player analyzes his combination of cards and decides what cards to discard, in order to achieve the best hand possible. A player can EXCHANGE only once during a game, from 0 to 3 cards. All players must make a decision about exchanging cards, until the turn comes again to the first player.

phase 4. All the players who discarded will receive new cards, in the same number as they discarded.

phase 5. The first player can start betting. He can CHECK if he wants to wait to see what the other players decide. Or he can RAISE any amount from 1$ to 10$. Once a player raised no other player can check. A player can CALL if he wants to pay the amount of money equal to the previous wage. Or a player can chose to FOLD if he wants to forfeit any interest in the jackpot. The bet process continues for all players. If all the players checked, the jackpot will remain and you need to start a new game.

phase 6. When all the players place an equal amount of money or they folded, the hands are revealed. The winner is declared when those players still remaining compare their hands and the player having the best combination of cards takes the jackpot. If more than one winner is declared the jackpot is split among winners.

The hands are evaluated according to the following rankings, starting from the best combination of cards (straight flush) and going to the worst combination. The ace normally plays high (TJQKA), but can sometimes play low (A2345).

STRAIGHT  FLUSH - five cards of the same suit in sequence, such as 76543 of hearts. Ranked by the top card, so that AKQJT is the best straight flush, also called a royal flush. The ace can play low to make 5432A, the lowest straight flush. Suits are not used to break ties.

FOUR OF A KIND - four cards of the same rank, like 44442.

FULL  HOUSE - three cards of one rank accompanied by two of another, such as 777JJ. Ranked by the trips, so that 44422 beats 333AA.

FLUSH - five cards of the same suit, such as AJ942 of hearts. Ranked by the top card, and then by the next card, so that AJ942 beats AJ876. Suits are not used to break ties.

STRAIGHT - five cards in sequence, such as 76543. The ace plays either high or low, making AKQJT, or 5432A.

THREE OF A KIND - three cards of the same rank such as KKK84. Ranked by the trips, so that KKK84 beats QQQAK, but QQQAK beats QQQA7.

TWO  PAIRS - two cards of one rank, two cards of another rank and a kicker of a third rank, such as KK449. Ranked by the top pair, then the bottom pair and finally the kicker, so that KK449 beats any of QQJJA, KK22Q, and KK445.

ONE  PAIR - two cards of one rank accompanied by three kickers of different ranks, such as AAK53. Ranked by the pair, followed by each kicker in turn, so that AAK53 beats AAK52.
