Fantasy Book Report
Criteria

1) Over the course of the story we usually see protagonist’s character change.  From the attached list tell about 2 character traits that the protagonist of your book had at the beginning of the story, Use specific examples from the story to support your choices, and use correct paragraph form.  Then, in another paragraph, tell about 2 different character traits that illustrate, or show, how the protagonist is at the end of the story.  Again, use specific examples from the story as evidence for each trait.

2) Fantasy must be grounded, or based, in reality in order for us to “get into it.”  The author may accomplish this with:
·  attention to detail
·  showing us the real world that supports the magic
· by giving us very believable characters.

Which techniques did the author of your book use to draw you into the fantasy?  Write a paragraph to tell about it.  Give specific examples from the story to support your choices.  When, if ever, did the author stretch your credulity, (or ability to believe), too far?  Be sure to tell about this in your paragraph.

3) In the box on the book report form, draw a picture of one scene from the story that is important in the development of the plot, (story action, or events of the story).  Write a paragraph to describe the scene, and tell why you chose this scene, (why is it important to the story?)
