He looked down at his clothes and discovered that he was clad in a fine black tuxedo and was wearing a silk tie. He was startled to find that he was wearing alligator boots and Rolex watch.
Rather surprised at finding himself in such a state, he got to his feet to explore his new surroundings. He crossed the soft carpeted floor and went through lovely French doors and found himself in the most elaborate kitchen. There sitting in the middle of the kitchen table was a delicious looking wild honey pie. Pie had always been the old mans favorite food, and this he considered to be best of all. He was quite surprised to find that a large piece had already been cut and was sitting on a plate as if it were waiting for him.
When he had licked the last of the pie off his plate, he decided that perhaps he should farther explore this new land. Though he was quite baffled by it all, he was enjoying himself immensely. He stepped outside and discovered that instead of his muddy little yard with a few sickly wild flowers struggling to grow there, there was a huge lawn with neatly trimmed green grass. Huge beautiful flowers of all colors, shapes, sizes, and varieties grew lushly. Some of the flowers extended as high as 50 feet into the air and some of the trees were bigger than the biggest redwood trees. All the trees and flowers and even the grass were sparkling translucent colors that shown like glass.
The drive way was made of beautiful red bricks and parked right on it and ready to go was a big black Rolls-Royce. It was the finest car he had ever seen. He walked over to it and discovered a much younger man sitting in the drivers seat. The younger man was extremely handsome and had longish jet black hair which was greased back and dark eyes. He was clothed in slick black leather jeans and a jacket to match. Ive been waiting to take you to the party, he said.
The older man was puzzled, but he seated himself in the passengers seat and soon the car was speeding down the brick street. He was so in awe of the place he just stared with his eyes fixed upon the scenery and it was quite some time before he asked timidly, Could you tell me where I am? Of course, replied the younger man. This is the magical mystical LaLaLand. My name is Jude and I have been commissioned to the give you the ultimate Magical Mystery Tour of LaLaLand.
Who commissioned you? the man ventured to say after a moment of silence as he soaked in the immense beauty of his surroundings.
A lovely young girl by the name of Rita, Jude replied casually. She informed me that you would be arriving today and told me to be ready to show you a good time. She, by the way will be at the party and is hoping, I might add, that you will be her dancing partner.
The man was too bewildered to say any more. Besides, they had just passed a great pool of shining blue water which was so bright it took his breath away. Then there was a meadow of perfectly green grass with beautiful black and white cows grazing in it. They looked placid and peaceful. A little farther up the road some deer grazed calmly in front of a big light green mansion with dark green trim. The dear did not seem to be at all concerned by the presents of people. Arent they afraid? the man asked.
Oh no, Jude replied. Animals are never afraid of people here because people never hurt or kill animals. The animals do not harm the people either. No one eats meat herenot even the animals. No creature ever hurts, kills, or does harm to any other creature. This is a world of peace. |
