I`ve been building rocket cars for over 30 years. It all started back in the mid 70`s when I went to my local dragstrip to watch the jet cars burn-up the 1/4 mile. Guys like Doug Rose in his Green Mamba,Airplane Fred Sibley in the US-1 and Roger Gustin in the Lava Machine and many more. Then the rocket cars came to race. There was the Pollution Packer and my idol Fearless Fred Goeske in the Chicago Patrol funny car. My first car I built  was made out of wood with plastic wheels  and tires. Then I would put two eye screws on the bottom of the car and run a long string line for the car to run on in a straight line. Cox`s came out with a Ford Pinto funny car that had a .049 nitro motor that I took out and replaced  it with well you know, a rocket motor of course. In the 80`s is when radio control cars came out and then I started to experiment. Then in the 90`s things got serious.I completed my first R/C rocket funny car. It was featured in R/C Car Action and R/C Dragster Magazine. I run my car at the Indy R/C Dragway where my best MPH is 52mph and ET is 2.217seconds in a 132ft. Not bad for the first time and that was`nt at full power. I`ll let you know when this MAD ROCKET SCIENTIST has something new to smoke up the starting line with and out to break track records.
