Hello Fellow Smiths, My name is Ron Maurin I live
in Salem Utah. I got started in Blacksmithing along time ago when my son was tring to make a knife, he had been reading about Damascus Steel and knew alot about it we just had to make a forge and pound it out, we did make a small Damascus Knife it had alot of flaws in it, it took forever to make without a power hammer so I decided to build me one, the first was made out of spare parts and looked like hell, it did the job. But I learned alot from it where the week spots are and made two more they looked alot better and have been into smithing ever since. |
