Dr. Wagner has informed us that Rocio has fallen out of remission. This will be the third time she has battled this horrific disease!
Rocio has been scheduled for another very intensive series of chemotherapy treatments
She will enter Southcoast Hospital in Laguna Beach on
Monday, October 26, 2004 and is expected to stay for 5-7 days.
At this point the leukemia is severely impacted in her bone marrow and Dr. Wagner intends to attack this aggressively due to the extreme severity of her condition.
As Rocio goes through the next week of intensive treatment we encourage "Quiet visits" Which mean that you are there to be supportive and to surround her with love.
Chemotherapy is very hard on the body and her condition through the treatment process can cause many undesirable side effects so please keep this in mind if she looks very tired when you see her
Its so important that Rocio is not alone through this journey and we are so encouraged by the support and love from everyone..

Gloria, Kimberly for visitation regulations (sometimes its necessary to wear a mask due to compromised immune system after the chemo is finished she then goes in to a state where she has a very compromised immune system called: (neutropenic isolation)
If she is in this phase...DO NOT visit her if you have even the slightest feeling that you may be sick or have been around anyone who is sick. PLEASE it can be severe for her to catch even a common cold.
Needed:
Banners, photos, cards, letters, balloons, (artificial flowers only at this point) Letters of encouragement, scripture banners with healing verses, soothing music or anything else that might brighten her day!
