<The Major wanders about checking on everyone and asking them the following: "What do you think is the best way to make our escape?">

CPT Cappanetti repeats his previous statement: "we should head east towards Krakow...maybe pick up some real fuel for our vehicles then head into Germany and eventually back stateside."

SSG Cutter says "I really don't care, as long as we have a specific destination...'over yonder' ain't gonna cut it. Also, with your approval of course, I'm going to turn the radio on and listen to see what's out there. And something you might want to find out sir, is who speaks what languages...I speak a little Russian and a little German, but no way could I pass for a native. I don't remember, was there any freqs on those ruskies we lit up this morning?"

"Negative...they didn't have anything of the sort." replies the Major.

"One more thing sir...I think it's time to selectively apply the Geneva convention...in other words throw it in the sh*tter. We don't know exactly what we need to survive, and we have the carrying capacity. Anything of value should be fair game...not just military value either. Of course it's your call sir."

"I'll take it under advisement sargeant." replies the Major.

Everyone else the major talked to asked for a little bit of time to decide...to which the major replied "we'll discuss it further in the morning."

The guards switch out throughout the night and SGM Brantley gets a few hours of sleep. The night was quiet, no movement on the perimeter. Everyone got a decent night's sleep (as decent as you can in enemy territory).

As for listening to the radio...not much traffic after dark. It seems as though the russians called off the pursuit for the night (they were probably canabalizing anything they could). From what you could tell, the units in the area were part of the 21st MRD and the 10th Polish Tank Division.

It is now 0400 19 July 2000.
The major walks around checking on everyone and asks those who asked for more time what they think the escape route should be. He also asks what each person's language ability is.
