<CPT Cappanetti takes aim at the BDRM with his Tank Breaker, but decides not to waste a precious missile. He
quickly keys the mike and says "Vipers, BDRM inbound on your position...ETA 5 minutes."
"Roger that Rattler 1" replies SSG Cutter.
SSG Cutter turns to SGM Brantley and says "Shall we wait and whack the crew when they dismount to investigate,
or make ourselves scarce and hope they leave the truck?">
CPT Cappanetti keys the mike again:
"Rattler One to all Vipers, abandon the new deuce and prepare to ambush the armor when the crew investigates
from the far side of the road from the Cobras position.
Rattler One to all Cobras, backup 'em up from the other side. Let's make
this as quiet as possible, but I want no friendly casualties. Clear?
Rattlers are going to edge out behind them, ready with TB fangs if
necessary. So keep your distance...Copy?"
SSG Cutter calls back "Rattler 1 this is Viper 2, moving to link up"
SGM Martinez keys the mike and says "Rattler 1 this is Cobra 2, roger."
SGM Brantley and SSG Cutter quickly cross the road and move to link up with CPT Wolfe and SGM Martinez.
CPT Cappanetti grabs the Tank Breaker off the top of his duece and jumps into the gunner's position of the Viper
Humvee (driven by SSG Martinez). SSG Martinez creeps along in the humvee, keeping the BRDM out of sight.
CPT Wolfe reaches into the back of the humvee and grabs his LAW while SGM Martinez pulls the M60 off.
CPT Wolfe and SGM Martinez link up with Brantley and Cutter quickly discussing the plans of how to deal with the
BRDM (which is less than 3 minutes out).

As the report of a rifle drifted through the woods, it reached SGM Jim Stewart, who woke with a start from his
trancelike state. This trancelike state was the deepest SGM Stewart could get when he tried to sleep. The second
shot confirmed that someone was in the area. SGM Stewart figured it was probably a hunter, but, with the area crawling
with commies, he better check it out. SGM Stewart quickly packed up his gear and headed to the southeast, the direction
the shots came from.
As SGM Stewart moved through the woods, he spots movement several hundred meters to the east. He quickly takes
cover, trying to determine the nature of the movement. After a few seconds, he realizes the movement is a person
running through the woods.

Being a medic is sometimes harder than being a combat soldier, for Sgt. Stephen Holland, there have just been too
many lives that have slipped through his fingers. The job is hard enough when you are well supplied, and being
trapped behind enemy lines makes the job near impossible. One of the younger refugees rides his horse hard into
camp, excitedly giving his report of a truck unloading a large number of infantry. This could only mean one thing...Some
friendly troops are in for a nasty wakeup, and that means wounded to be treated. Sgt. Holland talks with the young
man and convinces (without much effort) to take him towards the spot that he sighted the truck. The young man,
Edward Rapacski, explains the best route to the area would be to head to the main road and travel along it, but
not on it. Sgt. Holland goes along with the plan, as long as they stay off the road itself. Edward retrieves his
gear, which includes his prized possession, a bolt action rifle.Edward Rapacski and Sgt. Holland head north to
catch the road. As they near the road, they see (&hear) a vehicle coming fast down the road from the east.
