<SGM Brantley (and his prisoner) return about 2 hours later. Brantley tosses 2 RAKMs, and a AKM onto bed of the duece and a half. "I really wish I could have seen who was coming down the road, but this prize was too good to pass up. How's the major?"

SSG Martinez comes over and takes control of the prisoner, while CPT Cappanetti informs SGM Brantley of the Major's demise.>

SGM Brantley confers with CPT Cappanetti about the prisoner. "Sir, I think this scumbag can provide us with some good info...if we can get him to talk." "I know a way to get him to talk...we'll use the old movie trick, good cop, bad cop" replies the captain. "Since he doesn't like you, you can play bad cop...and since Cutter speaks some russian he'll play the good cop, even though he won't like it."

Brantley grins "I like playing the bad cop." Brantley then goes and grabs Cutter, and quickly explains the plan. Cutter complains about having to play the good cop, as expected.

Brantley starts in on the prisoner...threatening various forms of torture, and playing with his knife. This goes on for about a half hour, without success. The prisoner hasn't said a word, though he is obviously scared.

Cutter takes over, trying to gain the confidence of the prisoner. Eventually he offers the prisoner some water. After the prisoner drinks, he tells you his name is Alexander Terentyev. After some more small talk, you find out he is a private. He clams up when you ask him what his unit is. A few more minutes of conversation produces nothing.

Brantley takes over again. "So, you don't want to do this the easy way..." mutters Brantley as he walks towards the prisoner. Brantley checks the edge on his knife and asks the prisoner if he likes having 10 fingers. Brantley grabs the wrist of the prisoner and asks him which finger he should cut off first... The prisoner suddenly spits out that he is part of the 12th Guards Tank Division. When pressed further, he claims that the division has few tanks. You press him for further details, but he yields nothing more of interest.

While this was going on, CPT Wolfe and SGM Martinez work the perimeter for the next 2 hours. SSG Martinez and CPT Cappanetti take the next shift while Brantley and Cutter continue their little conversation with the prisoner.

CPT Cappanetti also mentions that everyone should keep their minds open for a way that we can acquire enemy armor with minimal damage to the box. He claims to have an idea...

SSG Martinez and CPT Cappanetti return from their patrol. SGM Martinez asks "are we going to spend more time here, or are we moving out shortly? and what are we going to do about the prisoner?"
