Sörmland-Stockholm

Travel

The start and finish for this trip is Stockholm Arlanda airport, Sweden. Time will be given for visiting the city of Stockholm and all its attractions at the end of the tour. Details of “what to see” in Stockholm will be supplied to each participant. Participants make their own arrangements for travel to and from Sweden. A hotel bus service, that carries luggage and bikes, operates from Arlanda airport to the first hotel. Cycle bags etc. can be stored at the hotel for the duration of the trip.

Mileage and terrain

This tour will suit all categories of riders. Riding will be easy to moderate with the terrain varying
from fairly flat to moderately hilly. Distances will be between 40 and 55 miles per day.
Rest days are incorporated for those wishing to rest their weary muscles.

Accommodation and meals

Wherever you stay in Sweden you will be given a warm welcome, good food and cosy rooms.

We will provide 12 nights in hotel accommodation on Bed and Breakfast and evening meal basis.
Hotel standards will be three star and above with ‘en suite’ bathrooms and toilets being the norm.
Hotel rooms will be booked on the basis of two people sharing. Single occupancy requires additional payment.                 

 Back-up vehicle

A vehicle will be travelling with the tour. This vehicle will carry all luggage as well as being able
to give mechanical assistance to riders on route.
It will also be available to transport tour members who are ill or otherwise unable to ride.

 Passports

A passport must be carried that is still current on the day of departure from Sweden.
Non EU citizens must check whether or not a visa is required.

Health

Sweden is a modern country with a good general health service.
Do not forget to bring your medical card with you. Details will be supplied to each tour participant. 

Insurance

 Each participant must be adequately insured for this tour.
A declaration to this effect will be required from each participant. 

Price

Ride price  = $1895 or £1055
Single supplement  = $480 or £267

NB. These prices are based on the current rate of exchange. Any variations will be reflected in the final payments

The price is based on a minimum of 10 persons. If there are insufficient bookings and deposits paid by Friday the 10^th March you will be notified and all monies less bank charges returned.
The maximum number of participants is 25.

* Back-up vehicle to carry luggage,
   bicycles and participants as necessary.
* 11 nights accommodation sharing rooms

 Price does not include

* Meals in transit
* Drinks with evening meals
* Lunches or refreshments during the ride
   or at morning or afternoon stops
* Entry fees to attractions visited
* Personal expenses
* Travel insurance

Payment

A deposit of $650 or £370 per person is required.
The final balance must be paid at the latest  21st April 2006.
The Bank account to which payments are made will be notified on request to join the tour.                       

Cancellation

All cancellations must be notified in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows:

• Before 21 April        (deposit)
• 21 April – 1 May      ( 60%)
• 1 May to departure  (100%)
