| 2005 Progress # 8 |
| 11/2//5 11/10/05
Project Notes: Ran power to and activated the electronic choke on the new Edelbrock carburetor Replaced starter solenoid Replaced spark plugs Set engine timing The car has excessive steering wheel free play. The power steering gear box was adjusted to remove as much free play as possible. This helped but didnt correct the problem. Ordered rebuilt steering gear box and steering coupler rebuild kit from MOPAR by Crane. Some time during the past 37 years the wrong holder was installed for the high beam lamp. The correct holder was located and installed. Bought and installed a valve cover breather cap after painting it chrome. The breather cap was then connected to the new chrome carburetor air filter housing using new rubber hose. Continued car detailing activities in preparation for up coming car show |
