The Task
The students will be engaged in gathering information related to traveling to a Spanish Speaking country.  Students will choose ONE specific county to concentrate on.  The countries they may choose from are as follow:

1)
Spain

2) A country in Latin America

3) A country in the Caribbean

4) A country in South America

Working together in groups of 4 or 5, students will gather information specific to their country, including flight prices, hotel prices, at least three cities they will visit, at least five sites they will visit, examples of the food that is eaten there, what type of government the country has, and any other interesting facts about their country,  and put together a presentation to demonstrate to the class.  Students may use an medians they want to convey their information (i.e. video, powerpoint, photographs...).  Students will have  5 weeks to complete this Webquest.
The Process
1. Within your group, choose one of countries listed in "The Task" section above.

2. With your country in mind, begin to research your area using whatever sources you desire, encyclopedias, the Internet, television, books. (For some Internet websites with valuable information, see the section entitled "Resources").  BE CERTAIN to make sure the information you gather is VALID.

3. Once you have all of your information, meet with your group and begin to put all the information to gether and decide in what format it will be presented in the final project.

4. Create a basic introduction for your final project presentation.

5. Be sure that all members of the group have a specific role in the presentation of the project.

6. Practice your presenation (if it needs to be memorized, HAVE IT MEMORIZED).  Remember, a large portion of the grade will be based on the final presentation of the project.

7. Present your project in front of the class.

8. Hand in an outline that shows exactly what steps your group has taken to aquire the information presented, show all sources, and be sure to explain the work that your group has done in the five weeks spent on the project (keeping a journal, or work log, is a good way to remember what your group did).
