| JONES FAMILY WILLIAM JONES,was born about 1800, in Wales, he was married abt 1819 to ANN GILES. The family lived at Neath,W. Glamorgan,Wales. WILLIAM & ANN children: Mary born 11 July 1820, Margaret b/4 Feb 1822 and DAVID T.(x) JONES b/ 16 Oct 1825 and Bapt 27Nov 1825, at Neath,W. Glamorgan,Wales..son Richard born 1830.William arv USA 10Jun1852 Ship Guy Mannering. ANN followed on 19Oct1852 with DAVID his daughter Sarah Ann born 1857,Wales Richard & wife Ann b/1830 their son Isaac b/1850. DAVID T.(X) JONES, was married to ANN THOMAS, at Wilkes Barre,Luz,PA on 16 July 1853. ANN was born 9 Feb 1832 and Bapt 15 Mar 1832 at Mydrim,Carmarthen,Wales. Her parents were WILLIAM THOMAS & ANNE GRIFFITH. DAVID arrived in the United States in 1852. The 1860 census shows the Family living at Hyde Park,Luz,PA.(Scranton). The family was still living there in 1870. In 1880 the family was living in Kingston Twp,Luz,PA. DAVID was a Coalminer, he was a naturalized citizen prior to 1870. Sometime prior to 1891 DAVID & ANN moved to Throop,Lack,PA. ANN died there 28 Jan 1891. ANN was a member of Pocahautas Lodge at Wilkes-Barrie. David died 5 Mar 1899 at the home of his son JOHN, Peckville,Lack,PA. He had made a trip to Scranton the day before. On his return to Peckville, he suffered a relapse from a recent attact of grip and Miners asthma. His private life was a model one, being a great Bible student. He was a member of the Baptist Church, which he attended regular. DAVID & ANN are buried at Forty-Fort Cemetery,Luz,PA.(site 716-717). Annie married Alfred Raynor 1869, Their children:Hattie b/1870, Edith b/1872, Mattie b/7 Oct 1874, William Harry b/1 Oct 1878, Emely b/Mar 1881, Alfred b/1891. The family lived at Luzerne,Luz,PA. Annie d/26 Apr 1920 & Alfred d/15 Jun 1927. Both were buried at Forty-Fort Cemetery. However their graves were lost in the Flood of 1972. Catherine married John J. Powell b/Sept 1850,Wales in 1877. Emily married Edward Trescott b/Mar 1863 PA. in 1885 Emily & Edward had two children that died young. Edward was a Clerk at Steven Grocery, Kingston,Luz,PA. Emily d/8 Jun 1938 and Edward d/15 Apr 1921 both are buried at the Wyoming Cemetery,Luz,PA Edwin Giles married Margaret Alice Jones b/2 Jan 1867 Danville,Mont,PA. on 14 Oct 1888. Whitesell b/1867 Wapwallopen,Luz,PA. on 3 Dec 1892. Frederic & Minnie had one Daughter Freda E. b/ 25 Sept 1893-d/July 1973. Frederic was involved with Coal Miner and was a member of the Odd Fellows. Frederic d/5 Oct 1950 and Minnie d/10 Dec 1941. The family lived at Kingston,Luz,PA. Both Frederic & MInnie are buried at the Wyoming Cemetery,Wyoming,Luz,PA. JOHN FRANKLIN JONES was married 26 Jun 1893 at Peckville Baptist Church to BLANCH ESTELLE HARDING b/12 Oct. 1875 Jermyn,Lack,PA to PERRY GREEN HARDING and LORINDA FINCH. JOHN & BLANCH children: LORINDA ERMINA b/12 Dec 1895, Fred Ellsworth b/4 Feb 1898, John Franklin Jr. b/16 Apr 1900, Russell Paul b/24 May 1904. JOHN was a Coalminer, he was involved with the youth in Peckville forming a marching band, which practice at their home on Hickory St. JOHN died at a young age 20 July 1917 of Septic Arthritis. BLANCH was a Pratical Nurse, she died 9 May 1934. Both JOHN & BLANCH are buried at Prospect Hill Cemeter,Peckville,Lack,PA. Unmarked Graves Fred was married 15 Nov 1922 to Anna Dailey, They had one Daughter Barbara Ann b/4 Sep 1935 Blakely,Lack,PA. died 25 Feb 1998. Fred was a Coalminer, and belong to the Masonic Lodge. Fred d/29 Oct 1972 andAnna d/24 Oct 1966. Both are buried at Union Cemetery,Peckville,Lack,PA. John Franklin Jr. was married abt 1933 to Dorothy Hanson b/8 Nov 1903 CN. John was a career Navy Man, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. They lived at Whitefield,NH where John d/26 Mar 1974 & Dorothy d/27 Jul 1966. Both are buried at Park Cemetery,Whitefield,NH. Russell Paul was married 27 Oct 1927 to Alma E. Kamrath b/18 Sep 1906 Archbald,PA. They had Children: Arnold K. b/26 Jan 1932, Russell b/17 Mar 1935, Keith b/24 Jun 1944. Russell was a Lab Tech and the family lived at Hawthorn,NJ. Russell d/24 Feb 1983 and Alma d/12 Mar 1999.
