The Norwegian Mole 3
Episode 9

Solveig, the oldest woman of the group, got eliminated. Six people remain. One
of them is The Mole.
Day 17 - Vistoria
Tone finds an envelope with instructions, telling them to go to
the Victoria Fire Department. The challenge will have something to do with their
journal and the cylinder they got in episode 1.
Having arrived, they are told to put their journals in a big
iron bowl. Next the host will ask them each a quetion, which they have to answer
correctly. They are only allowed to make one mistake. If they make more, the
journals will be set on fire.
The first question is for Ingrid. The host asks her which song the band
played at the campfire party on the ranch after the bullfighting challenge. Flashback
of the band playing "Sweet Home Alabama
Ingrid doesn't know and doesn't even guess. One question incorrect
already.
Next question is for Tone. Something about last episode's elimination. Tone
gives an incorrect answer. Two mistakes already with only two questions asked.
The journals are set on fire. All their information is gone.
Next they stand around a table. They each draw a card in turn
and then turn it around one by one. The person with the highest card has to
select someone to go outside with the cylinder, where the host opens it and
gives them the piece of paper which is in the cylinder. It contains instructions
on the challenge they have to do. The last one standing will get an exemption.
Mohamed has a king in the first draw and chooses Tone. She has a
white piece of paper and has to go to the car on the right.
Ingrid has an ace in the second draw and selects Petter. He also
has a white piece of paper and goes to the same car.
Cathrine wins the third draw with a jack and chooses to expell Ingrid.
She has a green paper and has to go to the left car.
Mohamed has a king again in the fourth draw and goes for Anette,
who has a white paper.
Cathrine wins the final round and has no choice but chosing Mohamed,
who has a green piece of paper. Cathrine also has a green paper and an
exemption. She doesn't have to do her challenge.
The two groups (white paper and green paper) are taken to their locations for
the challenge.
Tone, Petter and Anette have to lay down in a crate with
their arms and legs bound for five minutes. All three of them have to do it to
win 20,000 NOK. Something will be put with them, but they don't know what.
Tone is first. Then it turns out rats are put in the crate. The host puts
a naked rat on her chest and she screams and shakes the rat off her body. Next,
an entire bucket of rats is poured over her face. She shakes them all off and
hides her mouth under her sweater.
Meanwhile, Ingrid and Mohamed are taken on a boat. They go whale sighting out on sea.
Tone
stays in the crate for 5 minutes. Two more to go to win the money. Petter
is next. He's wearing shorts, exposing his bare legs for the rats to crawl on.
He accepts the challenge and stays in the entire 5 minutes. Anette is
last to go and she does it too. She says the rats are smelly, but stays in the
crate all the time.
Mohamed and Ingrid had a nice challenge. But now they're all together, the host asks them a question about something they should have seen or noticed on the boat. Neither of them know the answer. They don't win 20,000 NOK. Instead, 20,000 NOK is taken from the kitty! Tone, Petter and Anette had an encouter with the rats in vain.
Later that night, they have a new challenge to do. There's a
pole with 6 ropes attached to it. They have to sit around the pole and try to
keep it standing by holding the ropes. If the pole is still standing up after 4
hours, they win 30,000 NOK. They can't see the pole, because the room is
completely dark.
All goes well. After 45 minutes, they are all laughing and talking. But they are
getting tired. They're playing some game to stay awake. One hour and 4 minutes
remaining and because they're laughing about something, the pole starts shaking.
They manage to get it under control. Then Petter pulls the rope and the
pole falls down. It seems as though Petter did it as a joke. He and Anette
are laughing. Anette can hardly stop laughing. The others are devastated.
They tried their best to make the challenge succeed and then Petter
knocks it over for fun? Cathrine is telling him something about having
respect for each other. No money won.
Day 18 - Victoria
The next morning they are still talking about last night's
challenge. Cathrine seems to be angry at Petter.
Their luggage is locked up somewhere in a safe. They to divide into 3 groups of
two.
Group 1:

Tone
Petter
They have two phones and more instructions about where the other two teams
have to go to. Each of the other two teams has to follow a different route and
finish at the place the luggage is at. They have to go to 4 stops and get 20
minutes to get to each stop. In total they have one hour and a half to get to
the luggage. They can win 35,000 NOK.
Group 2:

Ingrid
Cathrine
Group 3:

Anette
Mohamed
Tone calls Ingrid and Cathrine to tell them
to go to Fiscard Street. She also tells them they need the know the amount of
provinces in Canada. That number will be a number of the safe their luggage is
at. They start running immediately. Petter calls group 3 to tell them
where to go. They too start running.
Ingrid and Cathrine are running down a street. Cathrine
asks someone where Fiscard Street is and they have to go back, because they're
running into the wrong direction. A bit further they ask someone to name some of
the provinces in Canada. He gives them 3, but they have to continue. They find a
ringing phone booth in Fiscard Street in Chinatown. Tone tells them they
should have some words for her. Ingrid searches through the phone booth
and finds an envelope with some words.
Mohamed and Anette are already at the phone booth near the harbour
and waiting for it to ring. They have already found the envelope. Petter
calls them and they tell him the information they found.
Ingrid and Cathrine run to the next phone booth. They have 20
minutes to get there and a total of one hour 12 minutes and 22 seconds, which
means they found the first phone booth in 17 minutes, sparing them 3 minutes.
They now need to know the number of time zones. Cathrine asks someone, as
they are waiting for a traffic light to turn green. When it's green, Ingrid
immediately starts running, but Cathrine listens to the guy, who tells
her he thinks there are about 5 or 6 time zones and 11 provinces.
Anette and Mohamed have reached the next phone
booth. They find the envelope already, but someone is using the phone. This way Petter
can't call them. Mohamed asks if he can use the phone. He's on his knees,
begging.
The two girls have foudn the next phone booth too, but don't find an envelope. A
beggar is sitting next to it. They ask him if he could move a little and search
aroudn the entire phone booth. Then they ask if he has seen an envelope. "Yeah,
I have it."
Mohamed finds a key and gives it to Anette. The phone is
ringing and he answers. It's Ingrid. They had to call group 3. Mohamed
doesn't understand when Ingrid is talking about sabotage, but then she
explains that it's an email address she had to give them: [email protected]
and some numbers underneath it too.
They hang up. Mohamed asks someone how many time zones there are in
Canada. But the phone rings and he answers it. He tells them the hotmail address
and Petter gives him the street where Ingrid and Cathrine
have to go to. Petter already fills in the address on the laptop. Mohamed
calls Ingrid and tells her to go to Yates street.
Mohamed and Anette go to the car which they can use with the key
they found. Mohamed is racing the streets and ignores a red light. Anette
is silently laughing. We can see it, but Mohamed doesn't.
Ingrid and Cathrine arrive at the next phone too late. Two pieces
of the luggage are taken away, because they didn't make it to the phone in time.
They find the payphone, with more instructions. Tone calls them with a
new question.
Mohamed and Anette can't find the phone booth. They arrive late
and another two items are taken away from their luggage. They find an envelope
with a letter "Pick up your luggage here". Petter calls them
and they ask where to go, using the instructions they got. They drive to the
next location. A car is driving slowly and Mohamed overtakes it on the
left side. The car honks at them. Mohamed:"Fuck you."
putting his middle finger in the air. They have to get to the Parliament
Building. Ingrid and Cathrine arrive there with 4 minutes to
spare. Tone and Petter arrive too. They're waiting for Mohamed and
Anette. They arrive after a while and try to open the safe. The first try
fails so they try again. Cathrine cracks the code and they open the safe.
Then they find that some luggage is gone. Most of it is from Petter. But
they don't win the money, because the law has been broken several times. Mohamed
ignored a red traffic light two times and overtook a car on the right side
instead of the left side.
They haven't won any money in the entire episode. They even lost 20,000 NOK in the cylinder challenge. They are back to 157,000 NOK.
Suspicious in this episode
Tone
and Ingrid answer their question wrong, resulting
in the journals getting burned.
Mohamed and Ingrid don't know the answer to a question after they
went whale sighting, costing 20,000 NOK of the kitty.
It's Petter's fault that the pole fell.
Anette is laughing after the pole fell over. Is she happy it failed?
Mohamed breaks the law three times and Anette is sneakily laughing
about it.
Ingrid and Cathrine arrive at a phone booth late. So do Anette
and Mohamed.
Elimination
Cathrine
has an exemption. One of the others has to leave. But who?
