Episode 5

One of the two Ingrids got eliminated last time. Too bad for her, but now we won't mix her up with Ingrid C anymore (who from now on is just referred to as Ingrid)

Day 9 - Cantral Seanich - 6505 Lochside Drive
At 6505 Lochside Drive is a farm. The first challenge of this episode will have something to do with an egg and will lead them to that farm.

But first they have to choose the two most popular persons. Cathrine steps forward, but then goes back again as Petter runs forwards and puts his arms in the air as if he is mister Popular. But the group starts talking about it and eventually Ingrid and Trond are chosen.

Those two have to form two teams by selecting one of the others one by one.
Ingrid chooses first and goes for Tone.
Trond picks Cathrine.
Ingrid chooses Mohamed.
Trond goes for Truls.
Ingrid picks Anette and then Petter and Solveig are left. Trond chooses Petter, which leaves Solveig. She's least popular of the group and taken to the farm. She has to lead the others, who have to walk in pairs. They are tied together at feet and hands. One of them is blindfolded and can hear Solveig through headphones, the other one is carrying a tube which contains an egg. They have to get to the next pair and pass over the tube with the egg, who has to give it to the next pair and so on until they reach the finish. They have one hour and can win 20,000 NOK.
Solveig has a map with the route the others have to follow and tells it to the person with the headphones. They have to pass each post, so they know they're right.

So Solveig tells Trond where to go, but since he can't see anything, he has to tell Cathrine where to go to. They are lead through the woods and find the first post after a while, where they find some kind of envelope they have to take along. It's on a wire, which Cathrine can simply hang around her neck. But then they have to cross a plank over a gap. But it's difficult, since they're tied together. Trond falls over, almost taking Cathrine along with him. But they make it and reach pair 2:

Cathrine passes the egg and the envelope to Ingrid and they continue. After a while, Solveig tells them they have to go right, but Ingrid doesn't see a path. They decide to try it, but the branches of the trees and plants are smacking into them and they return, because it can't be the correct path. Solveig tries to figure out where they are. She tells Tone, but Ingrid is talking to Tone too. Tone tells Ingrid to be quiet.
It seems Solveig find the correct path and the girls continue. The path leans down to the right of them. Ingrid stumbles and falls down, taking Tone along with her. The tube with the egg falls two meter further. After a while they too have to cross a number of big planks, which are shaky, but the make it over without much problems and find the post. A bit further, Ingrid hands the envelope and tube over to Truls and Petter.

They are sent through meadows and get near the farm. At a shed they find the next post and a bit further at the gat they pass it to the next pair:

Solveig tells Anette to go through the shed. Mohamed already starts moving and Anette didn't tell him where to go. They walk past the shed. Because they are about 100 meters from Solveig, she can see them and keeps on telling them to go through the shed. Anette finally tells Mohamed and they go back and shed, which is filled with pigs. They have to go to a place where the pigs usually hang out and bathe in mud and filth. The post is right next to the mud filled puddle. Mohamed tries to reach the post, but Anette, not seeing where they are, keeps on walking and bumps into him, almost pushing him into the dirty water! He screams and puts one foot in the water, while Anette starts laughing. He grabs the post and they quickly continue to the place Solveig is at. They made it in time, but is the egg undamaged?
The host opens the tube and looks inside. He turns it and egg yolk and eggwhite falls out. The egg is broken, because of Ingrid and Tone falling.

Day 10 - Victoria
During breakfast, the host arrives with two envelopes: a red one, containing a punishment and a blue one containing a reward. They have to choose who gets what. Anette goes for the reward and Mohamed takes the punishment.

Next they drive to Metchosin Camp, for a tough challenge. They're at a military camp and Sergeant Rogers arrives. "Take your hands out of your pockets! Feet together, heels together, Hands behind your back!"
They all do what he tells them to do. "One of you has been give na blue envelope. Could that person step forward?"
Anette steps forward and the Sergeant tells her to carry on. She can leave the group and doesn't have to participate in this.
Sergeant Rogers:"My name is Sergeant Rogers and I own this camp! What we're going to be doing today is an obstacle course in which you're going to have to perform certain obstacles in 72 minutes as a group for 20,000 NOK." They laugh. "Quiet! You all look like a bunch of hippies! Does anyone want to shave their heads? I will give 100 dollar to any man, 200 dollar to any lady that wishes to shave their heads. Anybody want to step forward?"
Trond hasn't got much hair anyway, so he volunteers. He's the only one.
The Sergeant tells them they have 5 minutes to dress and get back, so they quickly change clothes. They have to do 15 press-ups and then run around the track. A limousine arrives for Anette and they watch her enter it and take off as the Sergeant tells them she's going to get pampered today. Anette feels guilty.
The Sergeant asks again if anyone wants to shave their heads and Mohamed volunteers. I think the 100 dollar they get is personal cash, not for the group, but I'm not sure.

Anette is enjoying wine in the limousine and finds a tape in her blue envelope, whic she plays on a small screen. It's the host telling her she will have a great day and such. She arrives at some kind of spa, where a lady tells her she will get a stone therapy massage.

The others go through the obstacle course to see what they have to do and how to do it. Toughest is probably the wall. Ingrid already has problems getting over it. Everyone's pushing her and Trond tries to pull her up. Luckily this still is practice.
Next they make up a list of who goes when (because they have to do the obstacle course one by one). The list is:
1. Trond
2. Mohamed
3. Petter
4. Cathrine
5. Truls                    +2 the wall
6. Tone
7. Ingrid
8. Solveig                 +2 the wall
The "+2 the wall" probably stands for 2 penalty minutes for not getting over the wall. They already calculate on forehand that Truls and Solveig won't make it over the wall and can skip it for a 2 minute penalty.
So Trond starts first. Being a fireman, he's probably used to it. He gets over the wall easily. The last part is climbing in a tree using a ladder and then try to get across the pond having only one rope to get across. They can let go and fall into the water, but have to swim across. Trond lets go halfway and swims the rest.
Mohamed is next. Because Trond has already done the obstacle course, he can help the others getting over the wall. Mohamed already lets go of the rope in the beginning and then slowly swims across on his back... He's really slow and it seems to take ages. Trond gets in a rowing boat and tries to help him across by letting him hold on to the boat. He finally arrives and is exhausted. He immediately sits down when he arrives and lies down a bit later.
Petter is next to go. He's quite quick.
Cathrine is next. She's the first female to do the course. Mohamed and Trond help her over the wall. She too lets go of the rope earmy on, but makes it across the pond faster than Mohamed, but is tired.
Truls doesn't do the wall. He has to do a few push-ups and gets a 2 minutes penalty.
Tone makes it a bit further on the rope and swims across and is really tired when she arrives.
Ingrid, who had troubles getting over the wall before, is now helped by three of the others who already got across. She lets go of the rope early on and swims across.
Solveig is last to go. She's a bit slow, but is older than most of the others too. In the tree she can't get far using the rope and almost falls into the branches and bushes at the start. She can't continue, because she doesn't have the strenght, but if she lets go, she will get hurt on the branches of the tree. So Mohamed gets to her using the rope and holds her tight with his legs around her. They help her get down and she has to swim across the entire pond.
They had 72 minutes to do the obstacle course.
The worst time: 11 minutes and 38 seconds were for Solveig.
The fastest time for the girls was 5 minutes and 28 seconds, which was done by Cathrine. The fastest overall was Trond with 4 minutes and 33 seconds. The combined time is 69 minutes!
They all cheer.
Sergeant Rogers:"Not so fast! You past the obstacle course. There's one more job to do! Mohamed! Step forward! The rest of you guys can take their stuff and carry on!"
Because Mohamed had the punishment envelope, he has to do one more job. He has to peel 10 kilos of potatoes with a scraper in one hour. While we see him working and cursing when he cuts his finger, we see Anette getting pampered with a massage and food and a stroll through a beautiful garden with white wine.
Mohamed cleans all potatoes and they win the 20,000 NOK

Later that evening at 17 Mile House, Sooke in a cafe, the group (except for Mohamed) is having fun, when the host arrives. He tells them about Mohamed's job and that he succeeded. Mohamed arrives, still wearing his army costume. He couldn't even have a shower first, whereas the others have. Especially Anette who had a superb day overall.
We suddenly see scens of Mohamed and Anette watching the tape in their envelope earlier on this day. The host instructs them to leave the group that evening. So they sneak out and drive off.
The others are all having fun, drinking and playing around. Then Ingrid asks where the other two have gone to. No one knows.
That night, they are taken to some cabins, where they have to spend the night in bunk beds. They feel like they're in Boot Camp instead of in The Mole.
Petter immediately falls on a bed and is sound asleep. Tone takes off his shoes and puts a blanket over him. They all go to their beds later on, still wondering where Mohamed and Anette are.

One and a half hour later, the Sergeant comes running in yelling and screaming that they have to wake up, because they have a job to do. One of the contestants has been kidnapped! They get 10 minutes to get dressed and go to the other building, where the Sergeant tells them that Mohamed is kidnapped and they have to rescue him. We see him tied to a tree and having a mask on. The Sergeant points out on a map that they are taken to a place where they find a raft, to cross the lake. The game starts when they put a foot on the land. The Sergeant tells them how to do the challenge best. Two people have to go to one side, two people to another side and two people have to stay central and watch out. They have to free Mohamed and get him to the escape car. Anette will be driving that car. If they succeed, they win nothing. But if they lose they will lose 40,000 NOK.

The screen fades and it's the end of this episode...
