The Norwegian Mole 3
Episode 6
Last episode we saw how Anette chose for the reward and Mohamed for a punishment. Anette got pampered all day while the others had a tough challenge to do. Mohamed had an extra tough task to do. That evening both contestants mysteriously disappeared. In the middle of the night, everyone is woken up with the news that Mohamed has been kidnapped. He has a mask on and is tied to a tree. Sergeant Rogers gives them instructions on how to free him. They have to take him to the escape car, which Anette will drive. They won't win anything if they succeed. However, if they fail, it will cost them 40,000 NOK.

Day 11 - Sooke - British Columbia, Canada
The contestants row a rubber boat over a lake. I don't know where Solveig is though... There's fog everywhere, because it's still early in the morning. They only have two paintball guns for the entire group. Petter and Truls have them. They all run to some boulders, to provide cover. They see one of the 5 guards and shoot at them, not hitting him. The fifth guard is near Mohamed. He is yelling for help. Anette is waiting a bit further in the escape car.
Suddenly, Ingrid gets shot and taken out of the game. The others have shot one of the guards, who has to kneel and keep his hands in the air to show he has been shot. Trond runs towards him and takes his gun, so now they have three.
The host goes to Anette and tells her she can win an exemption if she drives off when the others arrive with Mohamed, without letting them get into the car. It will cost the team 40,000 NOK, but she will have an exemption to the next round. She gets time to think about it until they arrive.
The others get nearer to Mohamed, but Cathrine gets shot. A bit later Trond and Petter get shot too. Only Tone and Truls are remaining now. They reach Mohamed and free him. He gets another paintball gun and together they run to the escape car. The guards are shooting at them and Mohamed stops and kneels to shoot back. Quite dangerous, because if they shoot him, the challenge fails. Instead, Truls gets shot.
Tone reaches the car. Anette is sitting in it, motionless. Tone tries to open the door, but it's locked. She runs to the other side, but those doors are locked too. Mohamed arrives and Anette drives off, taking the exemption.
The group doesn't really like it, because it costs them 40,000 NOK out of the kitty.

Day 12 - Victoria
They go to a courtroom where they can prepare questions and then interrogate them like they are witness and lawyer. I don't understand everything, but thanks to the flashbacks, you can see what they are talking about.
Cathrine asks Tone something about when she and Ingrid fell over, breaking the egg in the relay egg race.
Ingrid asks Petter about him assisting Solveig in the obstacle course when she couldn't get over the pond. She also asks Truls about the red ribbon challenge, where he had to mark the route for the others.
Petter asks something to Ingrid and Trond.
Truls asks a question to Tone.
Truls is asked a question about the bull riding, where he immediately fell off the bull.

BC Buildings Corporation, Victoria
They have to select someone. Cathrine volunteers to go and steps forward. The others all are in an elevator.Cathrine is sitting on the roof. She can see the others on a monitor. She has to choose who has to do which puzzle and whether they will succeed or not. Then that person gets 4 minutes to try and solve it. They can win 25,000 NOK with this challenge.
She can see each puzzle on forehand. At each floor is another puzzle. It gets more difficult as they go higher.

They start off. The contestants enter the elevator, which has a typical elevator music. The host asks Cathrine who has to do the first puzzle and she tells him she chose Ingrid. So she gets out and gets 4 minutes to solve it. A tennis ball is in a small tube. She has to get it out, without turning the tube upside down. There is a bicycle pump, a bottle of beer, a bottle-opener. She opens the bottle of beer, pours it in the tube and the ball starts floating and she can get it out. Everyone that can solve a puzzle, can take the envelope that's with the puzzle along with them, back to the elvator. 

Second floor. Tone is selected for the next puzzle. She has to do something with three glasses of water and a piece of paper. I don't really know what she has to do. Clearly, so does Tone, because she fails at the puzzle.

Anette has to do the puzzle on floor 3. There is one square in the middle of a bigger square. She has two small plank, with which she has to try to reach the middle square. She can't put both planks on each other with one end reaching each square, because then, the two planks would collapse in the middle. She still has 40 seconds left, but gives up.

They arrive at floor 4, where Cathrine tells the host that Mohamed has to do the next puzzle.He has 3 buckets. One is unmarked, one is marked at 4 liter and one is marked at 3 liter. He has to get exactly 2 liter of water in the unmarked bucket. He first fills the 4 liter marked bucket and then pours 3 liter from the 4 liter in the 3 liter marked bucket, so 1 liter remains, which he pours in the unmarked bucket. He pours the remainings in the 3 liter bucket away and then does the same thing again, so he gets 2 liter. He solves it with 30 seconds to spare and can take the envelope with him.

Petter has to solve the puzzle on floor 5. He has to replace the question marks by numbers in this square:

It's not so difficult. 8+3+4=15 ; 1+5+9=15, so all sides and ways have to form a total of 15, so the numbers should be, from top to bottom: 6, 7, 2. However, Petter doesn't get it and enters no numbers.

Truls has to the next puzzle, in which he has scales and a number of bears, which all have a different weight. He has to try to put all bears on the scales in such a way that is in balance.
He tries until he's out of time and isn't able to solve it.

Solveig is next at floor 7. She has to do something with a simple mathematical sum: I I I - I = I I
The symbols of the sum are all wooden sticks. Solveig has remove one stick and place it somewhere else or something. The sum must still be correct. She takes the first stick away, but doesn't know how to continue. She's still got 50 seconds left, but gives up and goes back to the elevator.

Trond is the final contestant and they're at the last floor until reaching the roof. He has to do something with a soup plate filled with water, a glass with a bit of water, matches and six coins. I don't know what. Trond can't solve it and goes back while he still has 30 seconds left.

They all go on to the roof. Only 2 of the 8 riddles have been solved. Now Cathrine gets the envelopes of the puzzles that were not solved plus four extra envelopes. They all contain a letter. She has to make a word of 12 letters, but doesn't get the two letters Ingrid and Mohamed won by solving the puzzle. So Cathrine's job was to select the people she thought would not be able to solve the puzzles, so she'd get more letters.
She makes the word 'dobbeltspill' (= the term of someone who plays a double role) and they win the money. They have a total of 112,000 NOK.

Suspicious in this episode
Ingrid and Cathrine get shot early on.
Anette goes for the exemption, costing the group 40,000 NOK out of the kitty.
Ingrid and Mohamed solve their puzzles, which resulted in Cathrine not getting a letter to find the word.
