Hakon was The Mole's first victim.
Day 5 - Merville
After breakfast, they drive from Merville to Vancouver. They stop
by a supermarket to buy some stuff from the money they got. Petter
insists on buying a big bottle of sun lotion.
They arrive at a big shed for the next challenge, where they
have to select someone who has the best condition. They doubt whether to choose Tone
or Petter, but go for the guy.
Petter
While the others have to put on white clothing, Petter is taken to a
place near the shed and told that he has to cycle on a hometrainer and try to
stay above 10 km/h.
The other ten are split in two groups. Group one can immediately enter the
building, group 2 has to stay outside.

So group 1 goes into the shed first. The host explains that they
have to try to open the door, using a laser and mirrors and aiming it to a
reflector for at least 3 seconds. They get 30 minutes and can win 20,000 NOK.
They enter the dark shed and Petter is told to start cycling. A green
laser starts burning and group 1 finds mirrors, which they have to use to guide
the laser around crates and objects in the shed and point it at the reflector.
If the door opens, group 2 has to run in with tripods to attach the mirrors to
it, so no one has to hold the mirror anymore and they can all escape.
It's quite a puzzle to get the laser to the reflector. The
slightest move of the mirror makes the laser move a lot. Mohamed lets his
mirror go to low, so the laser breaks, but he quickly keeps the mirror up again.
Half of the time has passed and they have finally reached the reflector with the
laser. Now they have to try to let it shine on it for at least 3 seconds.
Petter, meanwhile is getting a bit tired, but keeps on cycling.
They succeed in opening the door and the other five come running in with the
tripods. They only have 4 and a half minutes left. It seems to be difficult and
after a while they only have one minute left. The last mirror is shaking and so
everyone helps to keep it steady. Ten seconds left and they suddenly manage to
open the door and all run out. They win with 4 seconds to spare!
Day 6 - Victoria
They drive to the harbour, where they have to rappel down from a
70 meter high crane. The rope stops 10 meter above the water, so they have to
let themselves drop down.
They get three hours and 30 minutes to do so and can win 3,000 NOK for every
person that does it. If they all do it, the money is doubled to 66,000 NOK.
Trond goes first. Cathrine watches him and thinks
he'll do great, because he's a fireman. The others also watch and Ingrid K and
Anette seem scared. Trond goes down really really quickly and lets
himself go. 3,000 NOK!
Petter is next. He goes down a bit slower, but then again, he's no
fireman. 6,000 NOK in the kitty.
Cathrine goes next. She's a bit slower and waits a while in the end but
then lets go. 9,000 NOK.
Solveig seems scared, but she does it anyway! 12,000 NOK.
Truls, the other fireman, also does it very quick. 15,000 NOK.
Matti gets more and more scared and he doesn't want to go through with it
and goes back down, where Tone is waiting, because she's next. She talks
to him for a while and then hugs him. Because Matti didn't do it, they
lose 6,000 NOK, so they're back to 9,000 NOK.
Tone goes. She's scared at first, but makes it all the way down. 12,000
NOK in the kitty.
Ingrid C doesn't seem to hesitate much. 15,000 NOK.
Ingrid K is next and she's scared and even cries. The rest is anxiously
waiting whether she'll go or not. She goes for it! She's slow, but makes it,
getting another 3,000 NOK in the kitty, which now is at 18,000 NOK.
Anette and Mohamed are left. If they don't do it, the money can
still be reduced to 6,000 NOK. Anette seems really scared, but Mohamed
has no problems and does the rappelling. They now have 21,000 NOK.
After some hesitation, Anette does it too, but she's slow and hesitating
at the end of the rope. Cathrine is encouraging her.
She keeps on hanging at the end of the rope. It seems to take forever, but she
finally lets go. 24,000 NOK in the kitty and Matti feeling bad, because
he's the only one who didn't do the challenge. The total of the kitty is now
109,000 NOK
Suspicious in this episode
Mohamed let his mirror
drop a bit too low.
It was mostly Ingrid C who was standing at the last tripod with the
shaking mirror.
Matti doesn't do the rappelling.
Ingrid K and Anette take a lot of time.
