Oporto Airport
All contestants arrive at the airport in Portugal and are waiting for their luggage, which is not coming....

Confession Cam (which will from now on be abbreviated to CC)
Harry:"We were all waiting for our bag, but they didn't arrive."
Ellen:"The 11 of us remained."
Harry:"You slowly started seeing people forming groups and after a few minutes everyone was talking to each other."
Ellen:"You give each other a hand and introduce yourself. It was a kind of revealing."

They all leave without their luggage...

The Varosa Dam
The dam has a height of 76 meters. The contestants have to abseil it. For each person that does it the Australian way (meaning head first) they get 2,000 €, for each person that does it the American way (the regular way) they get 1,000 €. If they all manage to arrive at the bottom within 2 hours, their money will be doubled. So there is a total of 44,000 € to win.

CC
Erik
:"I'm scared of heights. Very scared. I really get afraid. I get stomach ache and cramps."

Time starts, and Erik wants to go first, so he's got it over with. The others are cheering at him. He does it American style and wins 1,000 € for the group kitty.

CC
Erik
:"Looking at it, it seems so easy. If you know how everything works and if you don't have a fear of heights, then it could be fun... I guess."

Dick goes American style too, winning another 1,000 €. Harry wants to do it the Australian way. He stands at the edge and then has to walk of it, head first.

CC
Harry
:"I didn't expect the first challenge to be so spectacular. I did it with head first, but it was pretty scary. The first step anyway, after that it was fine. When I was standing there, hanging over the edge, I had to think about my family."

He wins the group 2,000 € and 20 minutes have passed now.
George has a fear of heights and the others try to comfort him.
Ellen:"If you go now... it's over. Now you still have all the fear."
George:"No, because I..."
Jantien goes American style and is getting ready for it. She's getting past the edge and George is watching her.
George:"Look, what she's doing now is the hardest." John:"But you're attached to the rope, nothing can happen to you. Even when you let go of the rope, you won't fall."

CC
J
ohn:"I like to help people. Not because we would get twice the money if we were all down at the dam, but to him it could have been a fear he had to conquer. He was just scared."

Jantien wins 1,000 €, bringin the total to 5,000 €. George is next and everyone gives instructions and tries to help. 31 minutes have past. George is all geared up and ready to go. "I'm a little bit confused..." John and Karen try to help him.
George arrives at the bottom, bringing the total for the kitty at 6,000 €.

CC
John
:"I think that if I hadn't stand there next to him, he wouldn't have done it."

51 minutes have past and John goes down Australian style real quickly. He wins another 2,000 €. Pamela and Kerstin also go Australian style. The total now stands at 12,000 €.
Only Karen, Prince and Ellen are still on top of the dam. A car arrives with their luggage. They have to select the luggage of everyone into two bags. Anything they don't pack, is sent back to Holland. And it goes within the time limit of the challenge. They have 40 minutes left. They immediately start opening the bags and repacking it.

CC
Karen
:"But ehm... no I didn't like it. I found it terrible to be going through other people's luggage. That's private."
Prince:"I thought it was fun. You just have to think logically. Make sure everyone has what he needs. A bra for the women etcetera."

Pamela's case has a number lock on it. Ellen yells at her from the top of the dam:"Pamela!!! Number code suitcase!!" Pamela who's sitting on the bottom of the dam, doesn't quite understand her:"Who's got the next code???" Dick:"What??" Ellen tries again:"Pamela!! Number code of your suitcase!!" Dick:"Oh she needs the code of your suitcase." Pamela:"Yeah right and going through my stuff?! Oh well, it's 4004!!!"
Ellen yells back OK and goes to the suitcase. "Hey but this case only has a three digit code."
Pamela realizes it:"Oh no, it's 404! Ehm... Hello? It's just three digits! Hello?!"
Ellen leaves the others and goes down Australian style, bringing the kitty to 14,000 €. She explains the others that their luggage is being repacked. 23 minutes left and both the 2 bags of luggage and Karen and Prince have to go down if they want the money doubled. The first bag is let down. Then Karen goes:"I don't even have the time to be scared because of all this hurrying!!" She does it the American way and brings the total at 15,000 €. The other bag is let down and there's only 4 and a half minutes left for Prince to go down. He chooses to go Australian style. He arrives with less than 3 minutes to spare. Their total is doubled and so they win 34,000 €. When they arrive back at the top, the host hands the money they won over to a volunteer. George takes it. They get the money they won in form of coupons which they have to keep on them. Pamela takes the money they can use to buy food etcetera with. Karen and Prince had to repack the bags quickly. Did they pack enough for eceryone?
The contestants have to hand in their belongings such as mobile phones, money, credit cards. They each get a backpack in which they can put their own stuff which has been repacked in the 2 big bags.

Crestuma at the Douro
They have to spend their first night on a boat and they have to take care for themselves. George cooks spaghetti.

CC
George
:"It was like a school trip. You're in a canteen, get a plate with spaghetti in front of you, go to bed late and probably have to rise early tomorrow."

Ellen reads a book of Harry Potter out loud for everyone.
CC:
Ellen
:"I think that if you're the Mole this is the hardest time because you have to work yourself into the game without being noticed. I can imagine that the Mole would be very nervous now."
Jantien:"It would be a big flop for me if I would be sent home first. If you're here you want more, you want to make it to the end."
Pamela:"I saw Prince writing in his booklet. He hadn't written down a lot and if you're the Mole you don't need all the information anyway."

Day 2 - Oporto
There's 34,000 € in the kitty and today the Mole will try their best to make it less.
On the boat, the host gives them a sealed envelope. They are told not to open it until they are told to do so.
CC
Pamela
:"We all got a brown envelope, which we're not allowed to open, just put it in our bags and I'm very curious to what's in it, especially because Jantien got a very thick one and she was the only one. Nah I won't open it. I'll just leave it in my bag."

For the second challenge they travel to Porto, where there are a lot of port houses. They can either win 10,000 € or have to pay it back if they fail. There are 3 barrels of port, without a label. On it is a bottle of the port that's in the barrel. They have to find the barrels and take it to the correct port house and take the label with them as proof. They succeed if every barrel is in the correct port house.
Karen and Kerstin are standing at a pint where they a good overview of all port houses. They get questions about the other contestants to get letters of the port houses. If they don't know the answer they can call someone, but it costs them 5 minutes of the time. They get a total of 1 hour.

The other 9 are divided in 3 groups.
1) Ellen, George, Jantien
2) Pamela, John, Dick
3) Harry, Erik, Prince

First question: What's the 2nd letter of the contestant who likes Harry Potter? Karen immediately says L, because Ellen was reading Harry Potter last night.
Second question: The 5th letter of the contestant who would like to live in Texel. Kerstin:"Who do we think is a bit alternative? John?" Karen:"Harry." Kerstin:"No Harry wantsto live in Portugal." Karen:"Jantien also is a bit..."
Kerstin:"It would be logical if we get a vowel after the L, the fifth letter of Jantien is an I." They call Jantien to ask her. She and Ellen and George are already running through town in search for the port barrels. The time goes from 48 minutes to 43 minutes because of the phone call. Jantien answers the phone. Karen:"Jantien, there's no 5 minutes off of the time and you can't ask anyone else. Do you know who would like to live in Tessel? Is that you?" While running Jantien answers:"I thought Erik... no Harry!" So they put down the letter Y. With the L and the Y they think the correct port house is Taylor.
The first group arrives at Sandeman and find a barrel and a bottle of port and they taste it.
Karen and Kerstin also see the port house Affley, which also suits the 2 letters L and Y. Since both Taylor and Affley are next to each other, they call Jantien in group to tell her both possibilities. This does not cost any time because it's only to tell a location.
Third question: The 2nd letter of the contestant who would like to live in the USA. Kerstin:"Who's got dreams?" Karen:"George!" So they call him, which means the time goes from 32 to 27 minutes. George tells them it's him indeed, so they have the E.
Meanwhile the second group (Pamela, John, Dick) arrives at Taylor's and they're tasting the port.
Fourth question: The 3rd letter of the contestant who likes sea thistles and Jan Wolkers (a Dutch writer). They think it's Dick so the letter is C. So they have an E and a C. Karen:"Delaforce or Croft." Kerstin:"No not Croft." Karen:"It is if we've got the E wrong."
Meanwhile group 3 asks the way to port house Calem.
Fifth question: 3rd letter of the contestant who plays the drums. Karen thinks it's John, Kerstin thinks Erik. Kerstin:"Let's just keep in mind the third letter of a drummer."
Sixth question: "The first letter of the contestant that likes keeping chickens, but then one letter in front of that letter in the alphabet. Karen:"Harry! But we've already had him... Jantien maybe?" Kerstin:"The first letter of the alphabet is the A" Karen:"No the name is Jantien and one letter in front of it is the I." Kerstin:"No we need the first letter in her name that's first in the alphabet. So that's the A. And we also had the H of the previous question..." Karen:"Rainha Santa! Shall I call them?" The host tells them that they will lose another 5 minutes if they do so and advices them to guess. They go for the H and the A. Karen calls group 2 to give a location (which does not cost time) "One of the possibilities is Rainha Santa and we also have Calem and Delaforce or Croft." Pamela:"Oh that's near Sandeman!" Karen:"We don't have Sandeman as an option." They have 19 minutes and 45 seconds left.

All groups are still searching and tasting. Some think they've found the correct wine and are rolling the barrels toward the correct port house.
In group 3 Harry says:"35 minutes have past and we still have to bring the barrel in." Prince:"In this is the highest located port house."
Group 2: Dick:"I feel that the tastes are a lot like each other." John:"We're going to get the barrel now first and then roll it here and then we can still decide what we do." Dick:"Keep an eye on the time."
Group 1: Some children are helping them rolling the barrel towards Sandeman. Whe nthey arrive ther George yells:"The label is gone!"
Group 2 puts the label of Calem on their bottle. There's 27 seconds left.
Ellen in group 1:"Ok Sandeman is our port!" 12 seconds left
Because Karen and Kerstin called 2 times, 10 minutes went off of the time. There's only 4 seconds left and group 3 has found a cart to transport the barrow with. It stops at the entrance and they still have to roll it in quite a bit. They were running fast and Prince and Harry sit down to relax a bit. Time's up, but they don't know it because they think they still have 10 minutes (no one called them to say they lost 10 minutes) and they start rolling the barrel.
Karen has to call the others to tell them the news. Group 1 is back already and Group 2 is just returning to the docks. But the third group is still rolling the barrel to the port house. Their phone rings. Prince answers. Karen:"Karen speaking, did you succeed?" Prince:"Almost, just 50 meters to go." Karen:"Time's up." Prince:"Say what?!" He tells the other two and asks them what time they've got then. Harry:"NO that's not right." Karen:"We had to use 10 minutes to call."
Erik:"It's over? Shit!"

CC
Prince
:"That we lost 10 minutes! If they had told us we could have taken that into account!"
Karen:"You don't know whether your answers are correct. We always had 2 choices in mind."

The host goes through the questions the two women got."The first question was who likes Harry Potter. Ellen has been reading from Harry Potter last night, so they thought it was Ellen, but Prince said in the application form that he was a fan of Harry Potter, so it should've been an R, now it became an L. And the second question was corret, the Y of Harry. It should've been Taylor's and that also worked with the L of Ellen, so it was still ok. The third and fourth questions were answered correctly too which gave Calem. The fifth question... who plays the drums of you?" Pamela raises her hand. Host:"Well they thought it was John, which gave the H, which was totally wrong. And who keeps chickens of you?" That's Erik. "This shoul'vd been Sandeman."
The contestants still would like to know whether they had the correct barrels with the correct port houses. Because if they would've had more time, they might have been able to win. Ap ort expert tastes the ports. The port of which group 1 thought it was Sandemen, turns out to be Calem. The one of which the second group thought it'd be Calem was Taylor's and the third port which group thought was Taylor's, was actually Sandeman.
George has to give back 10,000 € in coupons. He sneakily only gives 1,000 €at first, but the host notices.

CC
Pamela
:"If you look at the challenge and think of the place you could sabotage most at... it's too late everyone run around and stuff, but if you're at a point and you have to call stuff through to others and it goes off your time, which happened, 10 minutes, then that's the most important place for such a challenge. If I would've been the Mole, I'd be standing there."
Karen:"I felt a bit more at ease that the three groups all had their ports wrong, so the two of us weren't the only one to blame the failure of the challenge to."

Suspicions
John
:"You're looking for mistakes someone makes in the challenges. It's just a feeling for now. I think the Mole is Karen."
Kerstin:"I think Karen is the Mole."
Harry:"Karen has opened my bag..." flashback: Karen is on top of the dam, looking in a backpack. "... my toilet bag was on top and she didn't see it. Karen is the Mole."
Prince:"I think Karen is the Mole. We got wrong information. I still don't know how it went with Angela (the host) during the port challenge." flashback: Karen:"We don't have Sandeman as an option." "It doesn't quite match the way it went."
Karen:"I'm still doubting about Erik. He acts suspicious, is the only one who's a bit nervous. He sometimes leaves the group and doesn't say much about himself." flashback: Most of the contestants are down at the dam and Erik is standing a few meters aside of them.
Erik:"I think Ellen is the Mole, because she causes confusion and gives wrong instructions to people. At the dam she told me not to go first and watch the others first. That kind of advice should never be given to someone with a fear of heights, because then I wouldn't have gone at all anymore."
Dick:"Yesterday, Ellen was reading from Harry Potter. After these two challenges I choose Ellen as the Mole."
Jantien:"I think Ellen is the Mole." flashback: George, Ellen and Jantien are chaotically tasting the ports. "It all goes so very fast with the glasses and the Mole can very quickly put the wrong glass with the wrong port. I didn't know for a long time and yesterday I thought it has to be Ellen."
Ellen:"It's really difficult. I'm going with my gut feeling and don't base everything on facts. It's John. One time he is very helpful and the other time he keeps at a distance. It could be a reason for it."
George:"Eventually I think it's John. I don't think the Mole has sabotaged much yet, but I do think the Mole could be John."
Pamela:"There's two people in my head. John and Prince. I don't know. I have chosen one because I had to choose. It's possible that I'll be pointing my finger to someone completely different tomorrow and the day after that someone else again."

Suspicious in this episode
Erik
and George have a fear of heights (or is it played?)
Erik, Dick, Jantien, George and Karen go down American way, which earned less money.
With just a few minutes left, Prince decides to go down the difficult way, which takes more time.
According to Harry; Karen didn't repack his toilet bag.
Karen wasted time phoning people.
Kerstin made a mistake in the last question which she (supposedly?) missunderstood.
Neither of the groups had the correct port.
