Darwin - Australia
Host:"Within a day from winter to summer. After getting
to know a local animal, some rose to certain heights. The atmosphere was more
than great. It got time for the big smack in the face."
Day 9 - Adelaide
They travel from the south to the north of Australia.
CC
Marc-Marie:"I've started playing it individually, ecause it's
more fun that way. Gijs walks up to me and says 'I think we suspect the same
person...' Well I really don't think we're on to the same person, but that's
fine with me if he thinks we are! I do find it sad when people get eliminated
because of it, but that's the game, we can't all go to the final roud."
Darwin, Adelaide River
There are several crocodiles in this river and they arrive at a place
where they can go on the river by boat. At the entrance are several newspaper
clippings 'Why crocs don't jump very often', 'Killer croc back!',
'Girl, 10, fights off croc attack', 'Croc horror!'
Sander reads an article about two deaths happened by crocodiles in five
years. Isabelle:"You'revery scared of them, right?" Lottie:"Yeah.."
They of course have to go on the river, which contains hundreds of
crocodiles. The host warns them not to joke around and not to but hands in the
water, because it's too dangerous.
CC
Lottie:"I find crocodiles very scary. Because I saw in movies
that they can just suddenly attack and you're gone!"
The contestants each have to try to let a crocodile jump up out
of the water. They get a rod with raw meat on it, with which they have to lure a
crocodile and make it jump up. They have to make a polaroid of it when the
crocodile jumps. Each polaroid picture is worth € 250.
Marc-Marie goes first.
CC
Marc-Marie:"I thought I'd find it less scary, but when they get
nearer to the boat, they have such a cold look in their eyes."
Jim is standing close to him to make the polaroid picture
of Marc-Marie making a crocodile jump up. The crocodile jumps and Jim
clicks, making the picture!
CC
Jim:"I made a picture of Marc-Marie. I was the first one who
made a picture and it got stolen immediately... I trusted the rest too much I
guess. I put the polaroid on a bench, face down, so it could develop and
Isabelle took a look at it and gave it to someone else and all of a
sudden*woosh* it was just gone!"
We see Isabelle looking at the picture and then seconds
later we see her looking at the water. Jim asks her where the picture is.
Isabelle:"I just gave it to someone."
CC
Isabelle:"I was excited about having to feed the crocodile and I
said 'OK, photo!' and passed it on to someone behind me. I know I gave it to
someone. I know Yvon and Lottie were standing behind me. I just didn't watch
well. And I really think that sucks!! So irritating! I could knock myself on the
head!"
Isabelle is now luring a crocodile and Gijs takes
the polaroid picture. A while later, Jim is questioning Yvon whether
she has stolen the picture. She seems to get agitated about it and says she
doesn't have it.
CC
Isabelle:"It's of course not good for Jim, because he took that
picture and he lost the € 250 connected to it and we just heard that with the
next challenge, one of us could win an exemption, but Jim can't, because he
doesn't have that picture."
Marc-Marie:"Nah, I stole that picture... It's fun to keep
them awake, because this group is very... talking with each other about who did
this and who was first in that and... everyone writes each other's journals over
and I think they have to watch out for their own and play the game individually.
At the moment it's like we're all on a senior citizens trip to Lourdes and
that's not the fact, so they have to... and by the way, in Lourdes it's everyone
for themselves too!"
Sander makes a picture of Gijs making a croc jump.
Both succeed. Then Sander lures a croc and when it jumps, Isabelle
claims the polaroid didn't work.
CC
Isabelle:"When I had to make a picture, I got pushed aside from
all corners and I had to be quick and all that. It's a miracle some people could
take a picture in that chaos!"
Marc-Marie takes a picture of Jim, who also
succeeds in making the croc jump. Yvon is preparing to take a picture...
CC
Yvon:"Marc-Marie, Isabelle, Gijs and Sander did well, they made
great pictures. So the only person I'm suspicious of in this challenge is
Lottie."
Lottie is luring a croc, but is scared. Yvon has
to take her picture. Lottie is scared and Yvon tells her to get
closer to the water, because else she's not in the picture.
CC
Yvon:"I just don't think of Lottie as a scared girl. She was
shivering with her rod and this and that."
Lottie:"Yeah it was scary, but what made it even worse was
Yvon, who had to take my pisture. She was constantly saying I wasn't in the
picture and then I thought ok then I have to stop and that made me even more
scared, because it made me uneasy."
Lottie:"OK, then I'm not doing it! I'm not doing
it like this."
Yvon is running around on the boat, finding a better spot for the
picture, while Gijs is encouraging Lottie.
CC
Marc-Marie:"I'm very close to Yvon. We had an alliance, but let
go of it. Also because I wanted that. Today was weird in the boat. Yvon likes
photography a lot and she was stuffing up with that camera and she was all 'Oooh
I don't know this, I can't do that.' a lot of fuss around her. I also notice
she's keeping a distance from me. So I'm starting to think she could be it... If
that's the case, then Yvon is very mean! But I've got a plan! I want to form a
new alliance with Yvon, but then about Lottie, so Yvon will think she's still
safe and thinks I'm suspecting Lottie!"
The picture of Lottie has been made. But we only see a
croc's head below in the water and Lottie's elbow and the rod with meat.
Yvon is now angling. The crocodile jumps up very high! But Lottie
now claims the polaroid cam didn't work...
CC
Yvon:"At the moment the crocodile was out of the water, she
didn't click! And that while the croc was out of the water very high! But she
didn't take a picture..."
The crocodile arrives again. Lottie tells Yvon to
hold the meat up higher, but it's too late, the crocodile grabs the meat already
and Lottie quickly takes a picture.
CC
Yvon:"I now think it's Lottie Hellingman!"
The task is over and they go to Goat Island, in the middle of
the crocodile-infested river. The host takes a look at the pictures there. She's
mild and let's Yvon's picture of the elbow and the nose of the crocodile
count. So six pictures are correct, but Jim's isn't, because it's gone.
They win € 1,500 and the pot is now up to € 13,750.
CC
Marc-Marie:"So that picture's gone. I wrote underneath it
'Better watch out next time. The M' and put it in his bag."
Jim:"I don't know if other's have seen it, but it was in my
bag."
Marc-Marie:"I saw him taking it out of his bag and putting it
back, but he didn't tell anyone."
Jim:"At least I've got it back again. But no € 250."
The host tells them to be careful where they walk on that island. She tells them that they can watch Goat Island TV that night, but unfortunately the best reception for the tv is in the middle of the island. The TV shows will last until 2 am. Each person has to watch a show alone. They will be asked a question about what they've seen the next morning and every correct answer gets them € 250. If all six of them answer the question correctly, the money will be doubled and an exemption will be given to one of them. Jim won't be able to win an exemption, but if one of the others is afraid of going to the middle of the island to watch the tv, they can let Jim go, but he has to go last, when the bugs and animald are most active. The host tells them to have a great night, but warns them not to go swimming and to be careful they don't step on a snake or a spider.
When they go to the place where they sleep, they see a crocodile
running around free outside. A man shows Yvon pictures of Casey, a big
crocodile, who live on the island. Yvon:"But she lives on the
riverside, not on the island?" Man:"Yeah she's right
there." (points at the big crocodile they were watching earlier)
Yvon:"But does she also come to the middle of the island?"
Man:"Oh yeah."
A while later, the contestants try to arrange the order in which they will
go to the middle of the island to watch Goat Island TV. Gijs suggests
drawing lots, but Isabelle says that solution is too easy. Isabelle:"We've
just been discussing this 2 minutes and someone already says 'Let's draw lots!'
"
Marc-Marie says it doesn't matter when you go, because it will be
scary no matter what time you go. Gijs:"We have to make a
decision." Isabelle:"OK fine, let's draw lots
then!"
Isabelle seems a bit fed up. Jim later explains why to the
camera:"Isabelle has lost her journal again." Sander:"Yeah,
The Mole always steals her journal."
Jim:"Or she does it herself!"
CC
Jim:"I've stolen Isabelle's journal and she's running around
panicking like crazy now! I don't think this is of any use to me, but it's fun
to see how she'll react. She's going crazy and I quite enjoy that actually"
Isabelle comes outside and still hasn't found her journal. Isabelle:"My journal was on the corner of this table. You can't leave anything alone for just seconds around here!"
It's night and the challenge start. They have to go alone to the
middle of the island to watch Goat Island TV. They will get a question about it
the next day, so they have to be concentrated and not get distracted.

Lottie is first. It's dark and she has a torch to find her way to the tv
set in the middle of the island.
CC
Lottie:"I arrived there and saw a lot of torches. It was
beautiful and I thought the fire would keep the animals at a distance. But then
I heard a noise in the bushes nearby. It was very scary!"
She's looking at the bushes and around her, missing several
minutes of the tv documentary about crocodiles she's supposed to watch.
CC
Lottie:"I thought, shall I go, but encouraged myself to remain
seated and that nothing would happen."
She keeps on hearing noises and is not concentrated... she
startles quite a lot. After a while, the credits of the documentary appear.
CC
Lottie:"Suddenly the show was over and the tv went off and I
thought damn I didn't even pay attention. I thought I still had half an hour to
go."
She gets back to the rest. Isabelle asks how it went. Lottie:"It
was scarier than I thought, but time went by quickly, because it was over before
I knew!"

Sander is next.
CC
Sander:"The challenge was difficult, because you're distracted
from the noises around you. After all you are in the woods and there's a scary
exciting atmosphere. It's difficult to concentrate yourself."
He's also watching a documentary. We hear "Temperature
determines the sex of a crocodile baby."
CC
Sander:"You're watching the screen but thinking about other
things. You constantly think you hear something."
The other contestants are waiting for him to get back. Gijs
is looking through binoculars, which supposedly tell you who's The Mole. Then Sander
arrives and when Yvon asks how it went he says he missed a lot:"Because
you're distracted all the time when you hear something. The strategy is to sit
down and watch tv!"

Yvon takes over the torch and goes to the middle of the island alone.
CC
Yvon:"The idea of you being on a place where each moment,
crocodile, lizzards,... monsters to me, can pass by, is very scary!"
She gets to watch episode
2 of the first Holland Mole, where the contestants also have to do a
challenge amongst crocodiles.
CC
Yvon:"There was also a mystical side to it too. You, sitting
there alone, with torches around you in the middle of nowhere! On a place which
I can't find back on the map."
When she hears a loud noise, she suddenly screams out loud!
The other contestants (several of them, because some are asleep) are waiting for
her to come ack. They suddenly see a crocodile below the terrace they're sitting
on. The crocodile can't come to them. They light at it to watch it.
Yvon meanwhile hears more and watches behind her.
Gijs notices the crocodile got a trough with food. Gijs:"It'll
probably take him about an hour to eat that, so I might just finish my round
when he finishes eating!"
Yvon walks back and tells the others:"I got scared several
times. I even screamed!" Gijs:"Oh we didn't hear
you!"

Gijs is next.
CC
Gijs:"Tonight at Goat Island was a special night of which I was
worried, because I don't quite like little animals I can't see. And I'm not a
big fan of crocodiles, snakes, spiders and anything that crawls and flies and
makes scary noises! I went between 11:30 pm till 0:30 am and watched a
documentary from National Geographic. I got to digest so much information about
crocodiles within an hour!"
He doesn't seem very scared.
Marc-Marie is awake and talking to Isabelle, who informs him that
there is a crocodile near them below. Isabelle:"He comes here to
eat from time to time." Marc-Marie:"Oh that's just
great!"
Gijs is finished and comes back, handing the torch to Marc-Marie,
who now goes to the middle of the island.

CC
Marc-Marie:"I had to watch 'Crocodile Dundee', which already is
a big punishment on its own!"
He too hears noises and yells "Boo!" and "Stop!"
An hour later he gets back to find Gijs, Isabelle and Jim
still awake. Isabelle is the last one to go now.

CC
Isabelle:"There's one thing which freaks me out and that's
spiders. It's a phobia!"
When she's heading to the tv set, Gijs notices a kind of
bug, walking aroudn on his bedroom door... "It's kind of bug... with a
trumpet with which he sucks... and now I'm going to sleep!"
Isabelle is casually watching tv.
CC
Isabelle:"It was quite alright, because I didn't see any ugs, so
I focused on the movie, which was a horror movie about a crocodile of course,
who devoured everyone."
Jim is the only contestant who stayed awake. "To
be sure whether Isabelle will stay there for the full hour, I'm staying up. If
she returns here after 5 minutes, thinking everyone's asleep, we know something
fishy is going on!"
The movie is over and she comes back to Jim. She tells him it was
very easy, but that they'll probably get a question which is so simple that they
discarded.
Day 10 - Goat Island
They leave the island and go to the host.
CC
Lottie:"I thought Sander and Gijs were suspecting me, but that
it's over now. No one's telling me 'I suspect you!' "
Gijs:"Look, a bit of confusion isn't that bad, but I find
there should be more confusion. So I'm going to work on that!"
Jim:"By reading Isabelle's journal I found out people really
are watching me and thinking about me. Sander once said there still are two
plusses behind my name, which means I'm suspicious."
Yvon:"I don't think I'm very suspicious. I want to play the
game to fanatically. I'm too eager to win. I even forget to act suspicious
sometimes!"
Sander:"I think I'm suspicious. I don't know whether people
are voting for me."
Isabelle:"At this point I don't know anymore. I know I've
been suspicious a lot at times. I also know that at moments I don't mean to be,
they find me very suspicious."
Marc-Marie:"I don't think I'm suspicious. I guess
people think I'm so open and play the game honestly that they don't suspect
me."
They arrive with the host. Each one of them (except Jim)
will now have to answer a question about the tv programmes they watched. Each
correct answer earns them € 250. If all of them get it correct, the money will
be doubled and one of them will get an exemption! Except Jim of course,
because he didn't have a picture of a crocodile.
Lottie is asked a question first. Where can a crocodile store extra
food when its stomach is full?
She doesn't know and guesses in his mouth. Wrong answer. There goes the
chance to double the money! And the exemption is gone too!
Sander is next. What determines the sex of a crocodile baby?
He doesn't have a clue. It was temperature.
Yvon is asked to name six names of contestants from that series.
Yvon:"Arnoud... Petra... Deborah... Robin... and Wilm!
Wilmpie?... Wilpert?!"
Host:"No! Willy! And there also was a Wilmie!"
Gijs... How many eggs does a crocodile lay each year and how long
does she do that?
He says:"One egg and it takes her half a year!" Wrong
again! 80 a year and that for 50 years.
Marc-Marie... Where does Crocodile Dundee come from?
He's doubting. Host:"Come on, even I know that!" Marc-Marie:"Oh
he's from Melourne of course!" Wrong! Walkabout Creek was the correct
answer!
Isabelle is the last person to possibly win any money at all. What's
the name of the little dog in the movie? Isabelle:"Princess!"
That's correct! They win € 250 with this challenge. They now have €
14,000.
They're immediately asked to split up in groups of two with somebody who they can communicate well with and select one person who's got a strong stomach! Gijs says that's something for Sander, but he says he doesn't have a strong stomach...
Darwin, Emkaytee Aerodrome
An Australian pilot will do several stunts in a stuntplane. They have to
study the stunts and next one of them has to go in the plane with the pilot and
describe what they're doing, so the other has to guess it. They watch the
stuntplane in the air performing four stunts. These are the four stunts:
1) Stall turn with a half vertical roll
2) Double loop with a half roll
3) Barrel roll with an aileron
4) Stall turn with a barrel roll
Some of them find it scary and exciting. Now it's time for the
duo's.

Gijs and Jim. Jim will be the one flying in the plane. He
has to describe his movements, because Gijs can't see him flying and he
has to figure out what stunt Jim did. They can win € 3,000 if all three
guess the stunt correct. However, if they fail, they still have Isabelle
as a back-up, because she's voted to be he one with the strong stomach. If they
fail, she has to do three stunts and describe it to the others. If they guess
all her three stunts correctly, they will still get € 3,000. If they fail
again, they have to pay that amount!
CC
Yvon:"Jim and Gijs went together and that went great. Jim said
it was the most fun thing he had ever done!"
Jim:"I've been dreaming about this since I was 3, to be
strapped in a stuntplane!"
Gijs is waiting for Jim's description of the
stunt, but he can't hear anything. Then Jim starts speaking and Gijs
thinks he's got it! Jim gets out of the plane and makes a weird victory
dance!

CC
Yvon:"Then it was up to Marc-Marie and me and that went great
too! He only said 'A loop and another loop!' so that had to be the double loop
and there was only one of them."
Marc-Marie is up in the air. Marc-Marie:"I
can't hear you!" Yvon:"I'm not allowed to speak!"
He then descibes his stunt while screaming:"We're going up, very
high! Oh my god we're doing a loop!!! And now we're going down... and we're
doing another loop!!!!! And we're turning now... and another loop!!!"
Then there's static and Yvon hears "Oh no, that wasn't a
loop." Yvon:"What? No loop?!"
He lands and explains he thought the third one was a loop too, but it turned
out not to be.

Sander and Lottie (who'll be flying) are up next.
CC
Sander:"And it went wrong with me and Lottie..."
Lottie describes her stunt. "We're going down.
Now we're turning to the side!"
CC
Lottie:"We didn't manage to communicate well enough to find out
which stunt we did, by only hearing what I did."
Sander:"She describes it very confusingly and I couldn't make
up much of it."
Lottie:"We're going a bit higher... I'm almost
hanging still."
CC
Isabelle:"Lottie, she... it wasn't that difficult. You can get
desorientated, but..."
Sander:"Maybe it was because of me. Maybe I was
sabotaging."
Lottie:"If you looked at those four stunts, you would know
that this was the least heavy one. And he didn't get that one. Sander was
already in my top three of suspects and he's staying there."
Sander:"I think she didn't describe it well enough. Too
confusingly."
Lottie:"I seriously did my best to say what I felt, but
people are doubting about me, which sucks, because for once, I really did my
best. I really really did! And they still think it was an act!"
Jim:"When I saw the stunts being performed in front of me and
I heard the talking in the background, I noticed what was being said and what
was happening, didn't correspond. Also, when you're in the plane, every movement
seems to be important, while the stunt actually consists of three movements.
Sander was very suspicious today. I thought 'Sander, you heard what she said,
it's simple!"
Gijs and Yvon guess correctly which stunt their
partners did, but Sander is wrong. "She said she was spinning and
we agreed that would mean it was the barrel roll, so I doubted between the last
two and because she also said she was falling down, I decided it was the fourth
one."
He's wrong and so Isabelle now has to do three stunts and describe
them and all the others have to guess which three stunts she did in order to
still win € 3,000.

So Isabelle goes up in the air and perfectly describes her stunts to the
others. They all understand it and guess the three stunts correctly, winning the
money.
CC
Yvon:"So eventually we finally won € 3,000! It took a
while!"
€ 17,000 in the group pot!
Suspicions
Yvon:"It's almost too obvious after what happened
yesterday and today, but I think it's Lottie. It's weird I'm so close to her,
but still think she's sabotaging the game, but at the same time it's also good.
You've got to be close to The Mole to get as much information as possbile. I
think Lottie is The Mole."
Isabelle:"Yvon was a bit vague today. First she was very
afraid of those crocodiles and then she had that rod and was confident and
didn't shake at all, but when she had to take that picture, she was shaking on
her legs more! The picture she took even failed... I find it all a bit
weird."
Lottie:"I'm going to spread my answers in the questionnaire
because I don't know. Today I'd say Sander, because I really communicated well
and he didn't understand. And I didn't see Marc-Marie doing anything suspicious
but he remains suspicious."
Marc-Marie:"I'm going to make the questionnaire half on Yvon
and also a bit on Lottie. Lottie is difficult to figure out why she does things.
She didn't perceive the stunt very well. I find that a bit suspicious!"
Sander:"I'm doubting between Jim and Gijs. Jim is so fanatic!
He plays it very well. And Gijs I don't know. He's playing it mellow and easy
and acts like it doesn't interest him. But I still don't trust him, which is
very difficult."
Gijs:"The Mole does things of which I think Jim could do
that. I suspect Jim of stealing his own picture. I think Jim does it very
cunning."
Jim:"Each day I have a different Mole. In my group I went in
the plane and he stayed on the ground with a walkie-talkie. Gijs Staverman is
The Mole!"
Suspicious in this episode
Marc-Marie steals Jim's
picture. That way they don't win € 250 and Jim can't get an exemption.
Isabelle and Lottie have difficulties handling the camera.
Yvon gets on Lottie's nerves by gicing directions how to stand, so
she can take a picture.
Lottie, Marc-Marie, Sander and Yvon weren't paying
much attention to the tv show. They were distracted by scary noises.
Only Isabelle answered her question correctly.
Sander and Lottie didn't work well together and Sander
failed to identify the stunt.
Elimination
How many people will be eliminated? Last time their percentage
was 40 % and it has to be the same or more, or else two people will be
eliminated... The host reveals the percentage first...
38 %
This means two people will be eliminated!! Who will it be?
