Dutch Mole 4
Episode 3

Julien got eliminated after they could decide to stop the elimination. Julien himself was one of the people who wanted to continue and it cost him...
CC
Ron
:"The elimination was really hard, especially because I was the only one remaining after Julien. But luckily for me, he had to go home."
Ferdi:"I was glad I had a concrete opinion about it. I wanted to continue the elimination. I was happy Julien also chose to continue, which makes it easier to bare that he's gone."

Halifax - Canada
Someone walks up a stairs with a flashlight. Next the person puts a tape labeled instructions in the portably player.
The host:"It's going great! Two challenges have failed and they lost 5,000 € from the pot, congratulations!"
flashback Rene hands over the 5,000 € to the host, because Ron and Ferdi had bet they would make it.
A scene from the chains and locks challenge. Elise:"So what did you write on the application form then?" But Ferdi doesn't reply.
"Three people didn't get their luggage back. The atmosphere is getting grim, make good use of it!"
flashback Astrid enters acode for Rene's luggage. It's wrong and they've lost his luggage.
"Yesterday's elimination made everyone sharp."
flashback Julien gets eliminated
"The next three days will be tough. The honeymoon is now definitely over. You can tease your fellow-contestants now by leaving a message for them. Let them know you are around! You can now record the message. Good luck!"
A gloved hand picks up a camera and presses 'record'...

Day 5 - Halifax
They drive to the next location.

CC
Astrid
:"Everyone got in a kind of friction with ach other. People want to seclude themselves from the group a little, but they can't. They've lost themselves a little, get a bit irritated about other people... so it's from all sides."
Rene:"I had a little friction with Patricia. She was very dominant and always decided what was going to happen."
Patricia:"He got irritated about some things I had done and interpreted in some way and I probably didn't react well. And next he went to talk about it with several other people, not with me. I heard it from Ferdi yesterday night."
Flashback Unseen footage of what happened yesterday night. Rene walks out of the room and Ferdi tells Patricia:"It's very simple, a lot of people have problems with the way you behave."
Ferdi:"Most of the other contestants find Patricia a shrew. And especially Rene finds it very difficult."
Astrid:"People feel like they are pushed back, because Patricia is so dominant and then on the other side there's also Ferdi who is very dominant. But we all have to solve it ourselves."

Saint John
The atmosphere is grim, but the game continues. Astrid and Aafke have to go shopping in a supermarket.

Astrid                                                            Aafke
they have to do a challenge with which they can win 1,000 €. They have to go shopping and mind some rules:
- They have to spend exactly 250 €. - Every item they buy can cost a maximmum of 10 €.
- They have to get three special offerrs
- Find three Dutch products.

They get an hour and a half to do so and also get a heart rate monitor. If their heart rate gets higher than the heart rate they started with, they have to wait till it goes down. The exchange rate for that day is 0.65 € for 1 Canadian Dollar. So they have to spend $385.
They start the challenge and start calculating.
Aafke:"OK so we can't spend more than $166. $6.20 is the most expensive product we are allowed to buy and we can't get anything double. Let's go!"

The other six drive to Fundy Trail for their next assignment. The host awaits them next to a river. The Funy Trail is a big wilderness. "You don't want to get lost here!" the host tells them. "We have a great challenge for you for which I need a strong man and a smart woman, so Patricia and Rene, get over here."
The others can already cross the bridge and await further instructions.

Patricia and Rene get a backpack filled with 60 red ribbons. They have to mark a path with it. They get a GPS, which guides them to the location they have to go too. On their way they have to mark the roads they have been on, so that the other four can find them. They get two hours for the entire challenge. The others will be released one by one.
They start off. After 8 minutes they hang the first ribbon. Rene has the bag with ribbons, Patricia has the GPS. Rene goes ahead to hang the first ribbon in a tree. Patricia:"I think it's better if you take this thing then..."
Rene hangs the ribbon. Patricia:"I think it's easier if you take the GPS and I stay behind to see if the ribbon is visible from a distance." Rene:"No, you just walk with this thing." Patricia:"OK." They continue a few steps. Patricia:"Do you think it's visible from a distance? You know what, you go ahead and hang the ribbons and I'll come some distance behind you to see if I can see the ribbons."
Rene:"Will do!"
Rene keeps on walking and Patricia turns back. With the GPS...
Rene turns around:"But I have to know which way to go to."
Patricia:"That's why I said it's better if you walk with this GPS."
She hands it to him and goes back to see if the ribbon is visible. Behind his back, she takes a ribbon off one of the branches Rene tied it on.
The other four are separately locked in little tents. One by one they will depart and try to get to the final location. The challenge is a success if all of them are in the cabin (Hearst Lodge, which is the final location) within 2 hours. Every 15 minutes, someone will depart, but they don't know if they're the first one to go or if someone has already left before them. Every ribbon they collect, gets them 100 €, but only if all of them reach the cabin on time. So what's better? Take a lot of ribbons to get more money, but risk that people who might come behind you, get lost because they can't find any ribbons anymore? Or leave a lot of ribbons for possible people who come behind you, but don't get much money because of the few amount of ribbons?
Rene and Patricia are still on their way. Patricia:"Let's hang another ribbon over there!"
CC
Rene
:"I told Patricia several times that she shouldn't be so slow. She was all like 'We better hang one more ribbon and another one.' but I told her time was important too. We only had one hour so it was important to hurry."

Aafke and Astrid have been shopping for 13 minutes. All of a sudden they hear a special offer:"Today's first special offer is Nescafι Instant coffee for 3 dollar." Astrid hears it and wants to tell Aafke, but the offer is repeated, so she stays quiet. "Today's first special offer is Nescafι Instant coffee for 3 dollar."
Then she does get in contact with Aafke through walki-talki:"Aafke?"
Aafke is talking to someone from the shop:"Hang on I'm talking to someone from the staff about the Dutch products."
Astrid:"They just told the special offer."
Aafke:"Oh, did you hear a special offer?"
Astrid:"Yeah, but I didn't understand it."
The special offer is repeated through the intercom again. Aafke understood it was for coffee and tells Astrid to go to the coffee stand. Astrid asks someone where she can find the coffee. As she does, the second special offer is told through the intercom:"Second special offer today is Grade A Roasting Chicken, a dollar 47 a pound."
Astrid tells Aafke she heard the chicken and is nearby and that she will get it after she's got the coffee.
Aafke has found one Dutch product. She's now getting some fruit, but her heart rate is too high and she has to wait.

Rene and Patricia have walked for 45 minutes. They're next to a forest. The GPS says they have to go through the forest. They decide to hang several ribbons going into the forest, so the others know where to go.
Ferdi is released first. He doesn't know he's the first one though. Every ribbon he takes, is worth 100 € if everyone arrives on time. If they don't all arrive on time, every ribbon that did get brought in on time, will be deducted from the group pot.
CC
Ferdi
:"The first part of the challenge was easy. I walked on a straight road and there were enough ribbons to know where you had to go to."
Rene and Patricia are going downhil through the forest. As she ties another ribbon to a tree, Patricia says:"I hope The Mole won't take too much ribbons!"
CC
Patricia
:"In the beginning it was an easy path, but after a while it went through a forest and we needed a lot more ribbons."
They find out they only have 7 ribbons left...
Ferdi builds some things on his way. He takes a log and places it over the path and puts some stones on top of it.
CC
Ferdi
:"Since you didn't know whether some more people were coming behind me, it was important to leave some things behind. So the route was clear for them too."

Astrid reached the coffee meanwhile, but her hear rate is too high. She waits a while and gets the first special offer. Then she also takes the second offer (the chicken). One more to go. Aafke tells her she found Dutch licorice. The third special offer is broadcast, but Aafke talks through it to Astrid and asks if she has got cola and such things. Astrid:"Hang on, there's a special offer!" But they only hear the last part of the offer:"... 3 dollar and 49 cents."
None of them heard what it was. Luckily for them, it gets repeated:"Today's third special offer is ABC Liquid Laundry Detergent, 3 dollars and 49 cents."
Astrid:"Did you hear that?"
Aafke:"No but I'll ask personnel. did you already score that chicken?"
Aafke finds the third special offer. So that part is already succeeded. They start telling each other through the walki-talki's about what they have already.
Aafke:"It's fun shopping here, huh?"
Astrid:"Yes, with other people's money."
Aafke laughs:"Yes especially because of that!"
Both heart rates are too high now and they both tell each other at the same time.
Astrid:"My heart is being weird again so..." Aafke:"Astrid, I have to wait a while, because my heart is... exploding!"
She's standing in the middle of the shop, waiting for her heart rate to go down.
After a while Aafke starts doubting about their calculation. They figured out they would have to buy for $166 worth of products. But they want to check it. So they multiply 166 with 0.65. If it turns out to be 250, they're correct. They don't have a calculator... Astrid comes up with "Something more than 100 euro."
Aafke:"Then it's wrong what we did! We need 250 euro!"
They have 19 minutes to get more products and get to an amount of 250 €

Rene and Patricia have started running, because they're almost out of time.
Ferdi meanwhile, keeps on building weird structures: such as a pyramid of branches and stones... But also something more clear: an arrow made of branches.
Right on time, Rene and Patricia reach the cabin. they hang the last ribbon on the cabin.
Ron is the second one to be released. He too doesn't know that and has to decide for himself how many ribbons he will take along.
Ferdi enters the forest. But he takes both ribbons that point out they have to go into the forest.
CC
Ron
:"I was going to take every other ribbon I saw. If someone came behind me, it would still be visible. If you could just follow the road, I took the ribbon, because all you have to do is follow the road."
He arrives at a junction, but there's a log on the road that goes straight ahead, so Ron walks into the road that goes to the right.
Elise is the third person to depart. She doesn't know that either, but she finds out quite quickly that she's not the first one. She's slowly walking around trying to find any ribbons. She steps over the log with stones, Ferdi put in the middle of the road.
Ferdi, meanwhile, arrives at the cabin and Rene and Patricia go outside.
CC
Rene
:"Suddenly, Ferdi was there and he told us he got a lot of ribbons and made hints with branches and stones..."
Ferdi tells them he but logs on the roads and built stuff. "And I've got about 20." Patricia:"twenty ribbons?!!"
CC
Rene
:"He was convinced that the others would understand his hints for directions. But he's got some kind of logic, and other people might interpret it in a different way."
flashback of Ferdi putting a big log at the junction, apparently pointing out to turn to the right instead of going straight ahead.
Elise has arrived at that junction. "I don't see any ribbons!" She steps over the log and goes straight ahead, instead of turning right...
CC
Elise
:"I think I saw almost every corner of that f*cking forest. It was impossible. There were so little ribbons. I did see some, so I thought 'OK I'm going into the right direction.' but then I didn't see any ribbon anymore and had to turn back to find others and ... at one point I was really fed up with it."

Aafke's heart rate is too high again. She's trying to keep it down and tells Astrid:"Astrid, my heart isn't working anymore and we've got 4 minutes left."
Astrid:"My heart does work and I see some wine here. Shall I take some?"
Aafke:"Very well, I don't have any wine yet!"
Astrid looks at the wine:"Oh they're all alcohol free... Oh well I won't take it then, it's all that bubbly stuff."
Aafke:"Astrid you have to take it! It's not about whether we like it or not, it's about scoring stuff to get to the amount we need!"
Astrid:"Oh yes, you're right!!" She quickly takes 3 bottles.
Aafke quickly gets some stuff too and then they hear the intercom again:"Mole people, your time is up! Please come to registrer 7!"
Have they spent enough money?
CC
Astrid
:"I did try to keep in mind that what we bought, would probably be our food for the evening. It's always something like that here. So I thought if we just took some stuff, we would have bad food or no food at all!"
Aafke thinks they didn't spend enough.

Ron has been running all the time...
CC
Ron
:"I had been running for about 15 or 20 minutes... and I thought I just kept on running, because it probably would be another 30 minutes longer. I didn't see any ribbons, but I just followed the river and would see where I ended then."
He keeps on running and runs past the cabin. Not realizing that the cabin's the finish! The others are inside and didn't hear him.
Chandrika is the last one to depart. She has 30 minutes left. It's getting dark already...
CC
Chandrika
:"I realized quite quickly that I was one of the last people, because there asn't any ribbon left. It's very difficult to orientate yourself and go into the right direction."
Patricia and Ferdi go outside the cabin. A few meters in front of them was a ribbon, but it's not there anymore. Patricia:"Did you take that ribbon over there?"
Ferdi:"No I didn't."
It was Ron who took it, but he ran past the cabin.
It's completely dark meanwhile. Chandrika is going through the wilderness with a flashlight. "Come on red ribbon! Show yourself!"
CC
Chandrika
:"There weren't any red ribbons and it got so very dark... it didn't work with that flashlight. It became a kind of nightmare. I didn't have any ribbons or directions anymore, so it was really difficult."
She gets out of a forest and is back on the road again. "Oh God.... which way did I come from?"
The other three are still waiting for someone else to arrive.
Patricia (to Ferdi):"I think it's very well possible you took too many ribbons."
They have 30 seconds left. The host already arrives, but suddenly Rene sees two lights in the distance.
It's Elise! "I'm coming, I'm coming!!!"
Rene and Patricia yell at her which way to go. Patricia:"Are you alone, or are the two others with you?!"
Elise:"I'm alone, it was impossible to find!"
She arrives just on time.
Elise:"I couldn't find anything at all! I even hung back some ribbons!"
Chandrika meanwhile is still lost in the dark forest... But time's up... She and Ron are taken to the cabin by car.
CC
Ferdi
:"The Mole struck today, which was completely as I suspected. I knew we wouldn't make it. This was mostly important, because it was about time I got suspected too."
Chandrika:"When I heard time was up I already though it was a pity. It was frustrating."

They go sit by the fire, because it's so cold. They ask Ron if he has many ribbons. He says he has and takes them out of his backpack. Quite a lot indeed. Elise:"See? I told you I couldn't find many ribbons!"
Patricia:"Well I'm glad you didn't arrive on time then, Ron, because Chandrika didn't arrive on time and if you had, it would have cost us a lot of money."
CC
Patricia
:"Well, anyway, the fact remains that Ferdi had found it very easily. So I think we did mark the route well."
Ferdi:"I'm absolutely sure that the ribbons I took, and I made clues and marks for it, they couldn't be ignored at all!"
Ron:"He's in the building branch, so I guess he wanted to build something funny. I don't know why. A normal arrow is easier to understand than those weird constructions."
Ferdi:"I was made suspicious today by the fact that the others, apart from Elise, absolutely couldn't find the route. And it's nice to know that they are going to vote for me and will get eliminated..."

The host tells them that for every ribbon that got in on time, 100 € will be deducted from the group pot. Ferdi got 16 and Elise had 5. So Rene, who's still keeping the pot, has to pay 2,100 €.
CC
Rene
:"I am most definitely disappointed, because we lose so many challenges the last few days and we're losing more and more money from the pot. We really need to get money in. We need to win a challenge."

Astrid and Aafke arrive too. With the stuff they bought. They spent $255. That's not enough. So they don't win 1,000 €, however they do get one positive thing: Ferdi, Rene and Elise get their luggage back! The pot stands at 15,900 €.
CC
Elise
:"It's just so confusing. Especially because both challenges failed for a stupid reason. So you start thinking what.... there's just one Mole. One of those two challenge failed because of The Mole... I really get confused of it."
Chandrika:"A few days ago I was quite tired. I foudn it tough to constantly be in the group, but it's going great now. So I hope I'll stay in the group for a while."

It started snowing that evening and some of them go outside and throw snowballs at each other and build a snowman. They can finally relax... at least, that's what they think. There's a surprise for them. A man arrives with a package for them. Ferdi and Patricia open it and find a kind of vcr. They go get some people from their rooms and gather around the small screen. All of them. Except for Ron...
They press play and see a kind of shadow, a very unclear screen and hear a voice, which is scrambled and barely audible:"Hello, I'm The Mole. We've been travelling for several days now [...] we all play together, only I have a special assignment. I'm going to sabotage as much as possible in as much different ways as possible. If I snap my fingers once, we are fighting and if I snap my fingers twice, we're all sitting together comfortly again, having a good time. [...] I like it a lot and am going to continue." (parts are left out, because I couldn't understand it)
Aafke rewinds and plays it again for the entire group. Astrid steps back a little this time and is standing more in the background... possibly to let Rene hear it.
CC
Aafke
:"I can see my Mole in it. In the things that are said and in the way the person talks, but... maybe it's all a big red herring."
Astrid:"The way he talked, even though it was scrambled... it was more the rhythm in which he talked... I know who The Mole is because of that."
Rene:"Everyone looked at each other of course to see how everyone would react, but everyone was so neutral, you couldn't get anything out of that."
Ferdi:"I totally recognized myself in it, which was great to watch. It was absolutely an attempt to make me look suspicious. I don't think such a video will put anyone off track, because it was so obvious who it was that I wonder if it had any use at all."

Day 6 - Fundy Trail
The paths and roads they ran around on yesterday are now all covered with snow. They had to the cars and drive to the next location. In one of the cars, Ron, Patricia and Elise are sitting in the back. Patricia is sleeping (or resting with her eyes closed) and Ron asks Elise about the video they saw, because he didn't get to watch it. Elise acts out the scrambled voice to Ron and tells him what was said on the video.
Ron:"It does suck a little that I didn't get to watch it." Elise:"So we should have woken you up then?" Ron:"Yeah if it happens again, just wake me. But now I also got a good night's sleep. So that's something."
CC
Elise
:"Ron did find it a bit of a pity and told us that if something like that happens again, we have to wake him."
Ron:"I heard the story from different people, so I think I do know what happened. And besides, it seemed it was such a vague picture that you couldn't get much infomation out of it. I don't think I missed much."
Elise:"Quite a subtle action. I get a weird feeling of him lately..."

They arrive at Saint John and go to Homeport Inn to make the questionnaire.

Suspicions
Elise
:"I did see things I thought were suspicious, but I'm not sure if they were Mole actions." flashback Ron has been running all the time... He keeps on running and runs past the cabin. "It's very weird that Ron just ran past that cabin. On the other hand I also think Aafke is quite suspicious, because she couldn't even calculate the price even though she had the exchange rate. Many strange things are happening. It's difficult to know whether it's a Mole action or not."
Aafke:"Ferdi is still The Mole to me. He said he wanted to get married, even though he didn't fill that in." flashback Aafke:"Ferdi, Would you like to get married?" He mumbles something like:"Hmmyeah I'd like to get married..." Elise:"But what did you enter on that form then?" No reply... Aafke:"Ferdi?" Julien:"Ferdi?!!" "He took too much ribbons so other people got lost. This Mole doesn't let any opportunity go by. He could have done it in a more subtle way to me though, because if it is him, I find it a pity that I already know."
Astrid:"I know who The Mole is! While all of us are trying to get information from each other and observing everyone, The Mole just is relaxed about those kind of things. Once in a while he acts like he's writing something down in his journal, but he doesn't really. I'm still suspecting Ferdi."
Patricia:"It's a woman, it's absolutely a woman! My Mole is a woman! Chandrika said she was the last one to run (in the ribbon challenge) but I don't believe a word she says. She wasn't last, she started out earlier on, she took all those ribbons and got rid of all the clues. Yep, Chandrika is The Mole. Absolutely."
Ferdi:"The Mole is trying to confuse people a little... Yesterday something went completely wrong, which should have gone great and she was involved in it." flashback  Chandrika is going through the wilderness with a flashlight. "Come on red ribbon! Show yourself!"..."Oh God.... which way did I come from?" "My Mole is Chandrika. She's a very bad actress."
Chandrika:"The video made me doubt. If I looked closely and tried to recognize someone in it I thought of Ferdi, but that's so very obvious! His eyes are quite close to each other too, he's got quite a big nose. And he did certain things during the challenge of which I thought it wasn't very tactical."
Rene:"It's too bad I wasn't at the supermarket challenge, because then I could have observed Astrid. She's still my number one suspect. And what I saw about Ferdi yesterday... it could have been his enthusiasm or he could be The Mole."
Ron:"I'm starting to suspect Elise more and more. Ferdi too. He used to be my prime suspect, but now it's Elise." flashback  Elise (wandering aroudn in the wilderness alone):"I can't see any red ribbon, I can't see anything!" "So I'm voting for Elise, because more things went wrong with her. If I'm wrong, I'll be eliminated tonight."

They gather aroudn the fireplace and the host enters. She tells them one of them was worst in the questionnaire and that person has to go home of course. However, there's still one assignment left. The person that scored lowest has a chance to stay in the game tomorrow!

Day 7 - Reversing Falls, Saint John
They arrive at a bridge and the host tells them she has a surprise for them. Suddenly someone jumps off the bridge, with a rope of course and swings under the bridge. The host tells them 4 of them have to jump to win 8,000 €. If the person who scored lowest on the questionnaire jumps from the bridge, that person doesn't have to go home!
CC
Elise
:"There were 8 of us. One person didn't want to jump, Aafke."
Aafke:"I was quite sure, and still am, even more now, about my Mole and was certain I did my questionnaire well."
Elise:"And there were two people who said they wouldn't jump either then, that was Ferdi and Patricia. So five people remained, including me. We had to make a decision, so I stepped back."
Rene:"I felt I would get a red screen. I feel I didn't answer the questionnaire well. Secondly, it would bring money into the pot, which we need. And third: I wanted to jump for myself, because I'm trying to break new grounds."

Chandrika decides to go first. She already needs to be secured to get to place to jump off the bridge, because it's covered with snow and slippery.
CC
Aafke
:"So Chandrika went and I was standing next to someone and I said 'I have to grab hold of you because I think I'm going to faint.' She isn't very big anyway, so she looks frail, watching her from the other side of the bridge. And then to be the first one to go... that was really great!"

Elise and Patricia are talking about volunteering to jump. Patricia:"I'm also taking a risk. I think I'm on the right track, but I might be wrong. But I have a feeling you are doubting and then I think... well I'm not doubting." Elise:"I know, but I really wanted to jump! Even though it's scary."
Chandrika gets prepared and jumps. She swings around over the ice cold water and the others cheer at her.
CC
Aafke
:"It was very impressive... I will never forget that image... ever."

She is pulled back up and is really excited. She keeps on telling the camera how great and super it was. On the other bridge, Rene walks off. He's next.
CC
Ferdi
:"Chandrika's fear of heights was a farce."
Patricia:"It was just an act! Absolutely! I'm completely convinced of it! Well and if you fake, you can't expect me to react on it with empathy. No. It really was an act! I'm convinced."

Chandrika runs back to the others enthusiastically. Most people cheer and ask her how it was. She starts telling about it enthusiastically.
Rene is walking to his destination.
CC
Rene
:"I have a fear of heights, just like Chandrika. I had to be very careful, because it was slippery because of the snow. My heart was ounding. When I saw the wild water below me, I was anxious, but I wanted to jump immediately, so I couldn't think long about it. It was great."

Rene jumps and cheers. He seems to enjoy it.
On the other bridge, tension is rising...
CC
Aafke
:"When Chandrika had jumped. She came back and was very excited, very euphoric! To me, she jumped into her death, but luckily came out again. And so everyone was cheering at her and Ferdi and Patricia just turn their backs at her. Later they called her selfish, because she jumped and not Ferdi or Patricia. I didn't like it. At all."

Chandrika is crying and is now talking to Elise about it:"I also thought about the group, but I knew that if I didn't jump.... because I just scored so low at the questionnaire, like I told you and that's why I wanted to jump and also because I thought it would be a challenge to me. I found it a pity for them that they couldn't jump, but..."
CC
Patricia
:"I thought 'Well, you're going for yourself. Don't expect that the people who sacrificed themselves, because that's how I see it, we sacrificed ourselves for the group, then you don't have to expect that we are going to cheer because you got that exemption!' "
Ferdi:"She's just betraying me and lies to my face and I have a problem with that and then I think 'Oh well that's your game, I know better.' and leave it to that."
Elise:"Hmm well I do find that the people who jumped could have thanked us that they could jump and earn an exemption that way."

Rene runs back to the group. Ferdi hugs him and the rest also cheers a little.
CC
Rene
:"I heard from the others how they reacted to Chandrika's jump. Everyone congratulated her, except for Patricia and Ferdi. They acted so weird and found her selfish for jumping and that they could get a red screen because of it. I thought it was so immature of them!"
Patricia:"I just found it selfish that they only thought about themselves and didn't think about us giving that exemption tothem. Because that's what we did! We gave the exemption to them!"

Ron is next.
CC
Ron
:"I thought it would be easy, but I arrived there and stepped over the rail. I told myself not to look down, but then you do look down anyway and get scared."

The others are cheering him on. But he's not jumping... He keeps on looking down at the cold river below him. They count down for him, but he still doesn't jump...
They try once more "1... 2... 3!" This time he does jump, screamingly. When he gets back up he says it was great, but very scary and he won't ever do it again.
Astrid is the last one to jump.
CC
Astrid
:"All the while during the challenge, when they saw it went ok and you became a kind of hero when you jumped, the other people that didn't jump started to feel bad that they didn't jump and started calling those that did jump selfish people. I thought that was weird!

Elise and Patricia talk to each other and agree that, if it turns out they don't get eliminated, it's an advantage to them, because they know they're on the right track.
Ron gets back with the group and they cheer to him for having jumped. Ferdi and Patricia too... Ferdi even pads him on the back and congratulates him.
Astrid, meanwhile, is prepared. the others count down for her and she jumps! They win the money and now have 23,900 €.
CC
Astrid
:"The great thing about this game is that we're working as a team and try to get money for the group, but as an individual you also have to make choices and battle against each other. It's a kind of extra dimension, but I think they don't get it."
Aafke:"I just can't understand that people find them selfish... It's ok if you're playing games here. But if you start taking down people personally... no... I don't like that. It hurts."
Ferdi:"The Mole is just a kind B-actress in 'Good times, bad times' and that's what bothers me so much. The Mole isn't skilled. And that's just too bad, because it makes the game less fun to play. If it's all that obvious, what am I doing here then? I'm just waiting... every elimination, someone leaves. The more eliminations, the better."

Suspicious in this episode
Ferdi
took too much ribbons, which caused the other people who were behind him to get lost.
Ron reached the cabin, but just ran past it!
Elise arrived right on time. Her and Ferdi's ribbons got substracted from the grou pot, because not everyone was on time.
Chandrika didn't arrive.
Aafke and Astrid didn't spend enough money.

Patricia
:"Looking back, I'm glad all four of us, including Aafke got a green screen, but we really to a big risk and I would like it if they... they don't have to kneel down or anything, but that they would at least say 'Thanks that you did that for me.' "
Aafke:"And the worst thing about. Or what makes it even worse. They were only against Astrid and Chandrika. Nothing against Ron and nothing against Rene. And that's just so very wrong!"
