Episode 5

Day 9
The group has to divide up into two teams of 3 people. Each team has to enter a bunker separately and solve three brainteasers. Both teams have to be in and out in 40 minutes. For every answer a team has wrong, they will lose 5 minutes. They can't continue until they have solved a brainteaser first. The challenge is worth £5,000.
Team 1: David, Sara and Zi
They don't have problems solving the riddles and are out after 19 minutes.
Team 2: Jennifer, Jo-anna and Oliver
They have 21 minutes left. However, they have 4 wrong answers, which substract 20 minutes from their time and so they lose the challenge.
Having lost £5,000 on the brainteasers, the contestants are anxious to see their family and friends, but before that, there's another challenge. It's time to gamble: they're playing blackjack. The aim is to get closest to 21 without going higher than it. The winner gets chips that can be used as passes against questions on the questionnaire. The first winner will win 5 chips, which guarantees that he'll havea quarter of the 20 question quiz correct. The next winner gets 4 chips, then 3 and so on.
Round 1:
Jo-anna: More than 21
Zi: 20
Sara: More than 21
Jennifer: More than 21
David: 21
Oliver: 20
So David gets 5 chips and can leave the table
Round 2:
Jo-anna asks a card and then another one. She has 12 and the other card in her hand. She ask for another card, which already gives her an amount of 22 plus the card she's still holding. Wisely, she stakes: More than 21
Zi: More than 21
Sara: More than 21
Jennifer: 18
Oliver: 20
So Oliver gets 4 chips and leaves the room.
Round 3:
Jo-anna: 20
Zi: 20
Sara: 14
Jennifer: More than 21
So Jo-anna and Zi have to play again. Jo-anna has 21 and wins 3 chips. Zi had more than 21.
Round 4:
Zi: 19
Sara: More than 21
Jennifer: 21
Jennifer wins 2 chips and leaves Zi and Sara.
Last round:
Zi: 20
Sara: More than 21
So Zi wins the last chip and leaves Sara alone. She can't play the next challenge and has no passes.

For the next challenge they go to a stage, where there are 12 individuals, 6 family members or friends and 6 imposters. The contestants have to guess who is family or friend. They have to get 21 out of 30 guesses correct to win £5,000. The first row is numbered from 1 to 6 and the second row from 7 to 12.
1) We're looking for a woman and she's Jo-anna's friend.
David --> 4
Zi --> 6
Oliver --> 9
Jennifer --> 6
Jo-anna --> 9
First round is played and they have 02/05 correct.
2) A man, who's friend of Zi.
Jennifer --> 3
Oliver --> 1
Jo-anna --> 7
David --> 5
Zi --> 5
Again only two correct, which makes 04/10.
3) A woman, friend of Sara
Jo-anna --> 4
David --> 2
Oliver --> 4
Zi --> 2
Jennifer --> 2
Sara sees what happens on a monitor. She sighs, 'cause none of them was correct. The right person was number 12. 04/15 correct.
4) A woman and it's David's partner.
Oliver --> 7 "I should be able to get this one. Number 7" Glenn:"Are you sure? Seven's a man!"
Zi --> 8
Jo-anna --> 8
Jennifer --> 8
David --> 8
Four correct answers. Their total is 08/20 Even if they have all the rest correct, they would still only have 18 out of 30 correct. But they do play on.
5) Jenifer's brother.
Zi --> 7
David --> 7
Oliver --> 10

6) A man, who' Oliver's friend.
Jo-anna --> 11
Zi --> 11

This makes their total the unlucky number 13 out of 30. They have lost the challenge and the £5,000, but can finally go meet their friends and family.
If they had talked about their family and friends, this would've been easy money. But for whatever reason, they didn't.
Confession Cam:
Zi:"That should've been an easy £5,000 to make!"
David:"I don't think we were ever able to do that, it was too difficult. But a good game, interesting game."
Zi:"The Mole could've easily sabotaged it. He could have gotten the information about how they looked and then choose the complete opposite. We should've just spent 5 minutes talking about what our friends look like. We never reeally investigated it. So it was disappointing 'cause it was such an easy £5,000."
About the brainteasers:
Oliver:"I don't really wantto talk about it."
Jennifer:"It was quite an embarrassing experience. The 3 of us didn't get anything right at all."
Sara:"I was very disappointed that the guys who came after us, didn't get it. We had every confidence in Jen that she would get through the brainteasers and sort them out. I thought that was quite an easy one in the bag."
Jennifer:"I can't say I enjoyed particularly. We didn't have any of them right at the first time."
Jo-anna:"We didn't do very well on that one. I don't know if it made me more suspicious or something."
David:"I bet there was a Mole working in there (2nd group) completely turning everything around. Don't know. I'd like to see the footage of that to be able to tell what happened."

Day 10
At 10 am, the contestants together with their friends are having breakfast. Since Sara hasn't played a part in last challenge, she has a special role in the following. She's taken away. A bit later the others see her chained up and held captive in an army vehicle. The other 5 have to save her for £10,000. But there are snipers with paint guns. To win the money, they have to go get Sara and return with her. She has to be accompanied by at least 1 contestant. If she gets shot, they win nothing. If the other 5 all get shot... they win nothing.
Sara, however, has to make a terrible decision. All of her friends have free pass questions for that night so she has a disadvantage. Glenn:"This is your chance to settle the score. If you arrive at the finish with 1 team mate, you'll win £10,000. If you arrive alone, you'll be given a free pass to the next episode, but you'll have to shoot your tea mates and there will be no money."
Sara has the team's guns so they can defend themselves when they run back.
Sara:"We did have a discussion the other night with regard if someone would go for a free pass and I said I would go for the team and wouldn't be that selfish, but quite a few people said they would immediately take the opportunity to go for the free pass."
We see every contestant practise with the paint gun and we hear Sara talking about them.
"I think Jo would shoot. Jo would shoot."
"I don't know about David. I think he might shoot."
"I think Jen would shoot."
"Zi would definitely shoot! He'd kill us all!"
"I don't think Olli would shoot."
"And what about you?" Sara sighs, shakes her head and says:"I really don't know what I'm gonna do."
The 5 start the rescue. On their way to Sara, the unarmed team must avoid the snipers by using speed and team work. They hide behind barrels and planks put on the field to cover themselves. Under fire, Zi goes for it after a while. If the contestants are hit on their blue vest or on the head, they're dead. If they're hit anywhere else, it's a wound and they have to stop to put bandage on it. If they don't bandage it, the entire team will get disqualified. Three wounds equals death. Zi gets hit on the hand and puts bandage on it. A bomb explodes and Jo-anna screams. Jennifer is hiding in some ferns. "Where the hell is he? Aah! He's right behind us! We've got no cover, he's right behind me, a 100 yards!" She crawls along further.
Zi decides to make a break for it. He arives at the jeep where Sara is held. Sara:"You've got to look for a key."
Jennifer screams:"They're right behind me!"
Zi finds the key and frees Sara. They still have to wait for the others until they can run back.
Meanwhile, the others have been pinned down. Jo-anna is hit. (we don't see her, but we hear her screaming from the bushes) A bit later a bush of ferns shakes when she's hit again and screams again. David also gets hit twice. A sniper throws a smoke bomb. When it explodes we hear Jo-anna screaming again, followed by lots of bleeps to censor the swearing. The 4 run along. Jennifer screams:"I've been hit in the face!"
With others dying around him, Oliver goes for it. He arrives at Zi and Sara. david is dead too, so the survivors are waiting for Jo-anna. She runs towards them, but then suddenly stops while the snipers are still shooting. The group shouts at her "Come on!" Jo-anna:"I'm hit! I'm out!" When she arrives, they count the places she's been hit, but they only find 2 shots. So she's still in the game. Now they can arm theirselves, but they still know nothing about Sara's dilemma. They hide and shoot at the snipers. Zi again decides to go for it alone. They're not exactly operating as a unit.
Jo-anna (accidently?) shoots at Zi, who has to bandage that wound.
Jo-anna:"They're getting aggressive now!" She's got herself isolated, but gets shot in the head.
Oliver is protecting Sara, but Zi has disappeared. He's on his own 50 metres ahead of them. Oliver gets hit, but refuses to lie down and continues to shout tactics at Sara and Zi. Zi now has to make his way back to Sara's position.
When he arrives he tells Sara:"Gimme your gun! Gimme your gun!" He drags Sara along with him. She falls right after a puddle and again right in front of the finish line. Att he finish in the tent they fall down on the ground. Sara takes her gun and shoots Zi "Sorry!". Zi hugs her and she shoots him again. Zi:"Sorry I had to push you to get here." He hugs Sara again. She lies down and closes her eyes. Glenn points at where Sara shot Zi "Did you feel that shot?" Zi:"I wasn't hit."
Glenn:"You only just got it now, mate."
Zi:"No, not true, I saw them going over there."
Sara sits up straight:"Zi, I'm sorry"
Glenn:"Sara, do you want to explain?"
Sara:"Sorry, I just shot you...." Zi:"What, just now?" He stands up.
Glenn:"Do u want to explain why you shot him, Sara?" Zi swears and walks off.
David arrives and sees Zi going away. "What's going on?" He puts his arm around Sara and says:"What's going on?"
Sara:"I shot Zi. I go through to the next round." David stands up and Oliver arrives.
David:"She shot Zi. She gets through to the nest round." Oliver swears.
Jennifer apparently not knows about it and consoles Sara when she arrives and says:"Don't worry about it." and puts her arm around Sara.
Sara:"They gave me the option. I spent an hour and a half thinking about it."
Jennifer:"What do you mean they gave you the option?" Sara:"If I shot them, I would go through to the next round."
Jennifer takes her arm back off Sara's shoulders."You just did it?! You shot Zi?!" Sara burries her face in her hands.
Jennifer:"So you did it to go to the next round, to stay in the game?" and she walks off too.
Oliver:"Why did youd do that?" Sara swears and lies down again. Oliver walks off.. Jo-anna wants to console Sara, but she tells her to go away. She wants to be alone.
Zi sits apart further away:"I can't believe it!" and swears (again).
Sara joins the other 4 :"Guys, they gave me the option and I sat there and went through what everybosy else would do. It's just a game, though." David:"Yeah it's just game."
Jo-anna went to Zi and says something like:"She's crazy. Either that or she's the Mole"
Zi:"What do you call it when I'm... oh never mind.... if I talk about it, I will get absolutely pissed big time!"
Sara swears and Jennifer and Oliver hug each other.
Jo-anna:"I don't like her anymore. I'm trying to pretend that I do, but I don't. She's just nasty."
Zi:"If they'd ask me if I would shoot, I'd say no. We're a team. You don't jepardize your team mates!"
A while later, Sara walks up to Jo-anna, but the latter says:"I won't talk to you now!"

Interviews
Sara:"Today has been the most hardest day I've ever had to live, I think."
Zi:"I was betrayed, but didn't betray."
Oliver:"Everyone was running around, rolling in the nets, hurting themselves...."
Zi:"I put so much of my heart into it and in the end I get shot in the back. In the back!"
Sara:"As soon as I did it, I knew it was such a bad mistake. If I had known the reaction from the group was gonna be so bad and so massive, I would've never done it."
Oliver:"Everyone's natural reaction was 'What the hell did she just do?!' "
David:"It has caused incredible turmoil in the group."
Zi:"I was swearing. I think I pushed a couple of cameras away, I'm not sure. But I was boiling. I was absolutely boiling."
Jennifer:"I felt really depressed after it."
Jo-anna:"I don't know. I think I won't  be happy if she makes it through the next round and I don't."
Sara:"I don't know how the group's gonna react to me the next couple of days."
Oliver:"I feel incredibly sorry that she was put in that situation, but it could've easily been me or someone else and what we would've done in such a situation, I don't think any of us could really say."
Jennifer:"Anyone just wants to hang in there for himself. And I think as the number gets smaller and the money higher, I think it's going to bring out the more ugly side of everybody."
Sara:"It is quite a war because there's so much at stake."
Zi:"I've been screwed over once and when it's my turn to get in the final 3, I will screw someone else over. Mind my words, I will do it."
Sara:"I feel a real traitor today. I feel like Judas. And sitting at the elimination tonight is gonna be really hard."

Suspicions
Oliver:"I think the Mole definitely has been in operation. Instead of looking for the big things that happen, I' looking for the subtle things that happen. I'll probably stick with Zi."
Jennifer:"I still suspect Zi and I'm probably completely wrong. I've got the least number of passes then and I feel like this could be it."
David:"Tonight isn't gonna be a difficult one. I can pass on 5 questions, which I think will automatically get me through. I don't think I'll be eliminated tonight."
Zi:"I don't believe Sara is the Mole. But I could be wrong. I don't know, give me clue, please!"
Jo-anna:"Olli yesterday, David today. I feel like it could be any one of them. I obviously don't want to be the one who falls away tonight. I want to make it through and I want to win."

Suspicious
Jennifer, Jo-anna and Oliver stuffed up the brainteaser challenge.
In the friends & family guessing, David made 4 mistakes, Jennifer 4, Zi 3, Oliver 3 and Jo-anna 3.
Zi runs away alone several times in the hostage challenge.
Jo-anna stops running 'cause she claims she's dead, although she only has 2 shots.
Sara lost the entire challenge by shooting Zi.

Elimination
All contestants use their chips as free passes against some questions and Sara's decision to shoot Zi means she misses the questionnaire. So who will be eliminated then?

After the eliminations, the remaining contestants are asked if they would go for a free pass. All of them say YES. When Sara is asked if she would do it again, she quickly shakes her head and says NO...
