Belgian Mole (part 1)
Episode 3
Anke wasn't the mole and she didn't know who it was.
Day 5
Already 2 contestants are gone. But the group must
go on. For their next challenge they have to divide themselves into 2 equal
groups. Each group gets a camera and a microphone. They have to film an hour of
humour. They have to get people to laugh, without them nowing that they are
being filmed. So the cameraman has to hide and the microphone must be hidden
too. The groups are:
1) -cameraman: Hugo
-Magda
,
Mon
,
Belle
2) -cameraman: Guy
-Reggy
,
Moniek
,
Sylvie
Group 2 interviews people about
sex, which works in the beginning, but when Reggy asks a girl to pull a
condom over a banana, she runs away. They only have 1 second of laughter of the
girl.
The other group tries to make people laugh, by asking where they can find a farm
with chickens that have three legs. The first group they tell the joke to,
immediately starts laughing, but then they see Hugo with the camera. And
that isn't allowed.
Meanwhile Reggy tries to dance with some ladies, but they look at him
with a strange face and walk away. Reggy wants to change places with Guy.
So now Reggy is the cameraman. Guy starts barking at a dog and
then laughs very hard. Sylvie:"You don't have to laugh, the
people have to laugh!" Guy:"Sylvie, you can only get a
little smile, if you smile yourself." Sylvie:"Little
smiles aren't good enough!"
The Frenchmen don't seem to understand the joke about the chickens with
three legs. There are getting tensions in group 1. Especially when the others
forget that, because of the microphone, Hugo can hear everything they
say. Mon and Magda are talking about him. Mon:"Hugo
is getting a little bit aggressive. Or could he be the Mole?" Magda:"It
doesn't matter if he's Mole or not, he doesn't have to be that
authoritative!"
In group 2, Guy is walking around with a sign that says 'diversion'.
He tries to make people go round in a circle. Sylvie:"He couldn't
even film her face." Guy:"I think he will have at least
2 seconds of her laughing." Sylvie:"Yes, but I..."
Guy:"Sylvie, everyone learns from his mistakes." Sylvie:"Ok,
ok, it's just that I don't support your idea, that's all. I don't think you must
be so silly, because people obviously don't find that funny." But Guy
keeps on being silly, stupid and funny. Perhaps because he wants to make up
for the failed bungee challenge.
But none of the 2 groups are able to film a lot of laughter. They don't win the
50.000 BEF. The total amount remains 350.000 BEF. Michiel interviews them about
that day:"So, how was the cooperation?" Moniek:"This
morning? Very bad!" Guy:"It was easy with 3 persons, but
the other one was a little bit hard." Reggy:"Sylvie
couldn't get along with Moniek and vice versa." Moniek:"She
always rejected my ideas." Sylvie:"They constantly
wanted to be silly, but the people just looked at us with a face like 'leave us
alone'."
And the group of Hugo could also do their say:
Belle:"Hugo's all right, but he gives a lot of orders."
Mon:"He has a leading function at a company, so he is used to
being the boss."
Magda:"Mon and I were gossiping about Hugo, but we forget the
microphone so he had heard everything."
Mon:"He hasn't said a thing about it afterwards."
Michiel:"So, did you have a nice time?"
Hugo:"There were a few nice moments."
Michiel:"But did you have a nice time."
Hugo:"Yes we had."
Michiel:"Everyone?"
Hugo:"I know I had."
So again, Hugo is lying in front of the camera. Because he doesn't
tell a thing about Mon and Magda.
That evening, they have to do
another confession in a medieval castle, where they will sleep:
Reggy:"I think there will be coming a quarrel. I deliberately
kept aloof today."
Moniek:"Sylvie was very negative."
Sylvie:"I think the atmosphere in the group got better."
Hugo:"Today I was wondered all the time about what I'm doing
here."
Belle:"I hope we have a good night's rest, because we all
need it."
Unfortunately for Belle they can't sleep long, because at 3.15 am that night Michiel wakes them up. Two of them can stay at the castle to sleep. The other six have got to do another challenge. Mon and Magda stay at the castle. The others go to a maze. They have to play the game PacMan live. They have to divide into 3 pairs. Each pair will have a guide and a runner. Via two way radio, the guide has to navigate the runner through the maze. The guide can see the runner on a tv screen. But there are two hunters in the maze, who try to catch the runner. They can earn 100.000 BEF if someone can get through the maze without being caught. Or if someone can stay in the maze for 3 minutes without being caught. This is what happens:
1)Guy (guide) en Sylvie
(runner)
Guy guides her for a while but sees a runner coming and so he tells Sylvie
to wait. So she stops. But she panics and yells that Guy has to say
something and starts running through the maze. Because she screamed, the hunters
know where she is. Guy tries to tell her that has to go the other way.
But it's too late. Sylvie is caught and she yells "Guy you were a
bad guide!".
2)Belle (guide) and Reggy
(runner)
Belle wants Reggy to turn right, but he can't. He deliberately
walks into the bushes to let her know that he can't go right. For a while
everything is ok. Then Belle tells Reggy to turn right. But again
he can't, so he goes left. A few seconds later he has to wait, because both
hunters are coming. Reggy waits, but the hunters are getting nearer. Belle
yells that he has to run. But Reggy runs to a hunter. "No! The
other side!" yells Belle. So he turns around and runs away, but
he is surrounded and gets caught. Outside the maze Michiel asks what went wrong.
Reggy:"She told me to turn right when I had to go left and left
when I had to go right. One time, when she said 'right' I went left and it
turned out I choose the correct direction."
3)Moniek (guide) and Hugo
(runner)
They have to make it happen to win the money. Moniek is excited, because
now she can finaky give orders to Hugo. Belle:"I bet he
won't listen to you." But Moniek thinks Hugo will listen
very well. And she's right. Hugo listens to every word she says and he
can get through the maze. So they win 100.000 BEF.
But both here and in the humour
challenge some of them attracted attention.
GUY for example, who had to guide Sylvie en managed to let her get
caught very quickly.
SYLVIE herself, who stayed aloof in the humour challenge.
It's really strange that of all people they choose each other for the challenge.
And what to think about BELLE? She suddenly didn't know the difference
between left and right.
And why did Magda and Mon gossip that open about Hugo. Is
it and advantage for one of them if the atmosphere in the group is gets bad?
Apparently the close group was showing the first cracks.
Day 6
The next day everyone can get some
rest, except for Magda and Mon, who stayed at the castle that
night. They get 2 watches. One of them costs 150.000 BEF the other 5.000 BEF. So
one of them is fake. They have to find out which one. They can take pictures of
them and they can go to the centre of town. There they find the local jeweller.
Apparently Mon is seeing ghosts, because when they enter the store, he
looks at the woman and says that he has already seen her that morning on the
tower. The woman says that it's not true. Anyway, they ask the man and the woman
some advice. But Magda and Mon don't really believe them, because
they think the two have been informed by the crew. The jeweller comes along to
the tower to have a look at the watches. He looks at them and says "I
think it's this one, but I'm not sure." Magda tells Mon
not to believe the man, because he is in the game. So they go and look on the
Internet. But they still doubt, so they call to the factory that made the
watches. At the end of the day, they have to smash one of the watches with a big
hammer. If they smash the fake watch, they win 150.000 BEF, but if they break
the good one... they will have to pay for the damage, which means that they will
have to give 150.000 BEF out of the kitty. They choose a watch and smash it.
Luckily it's the right one!
Suspicions
Magda:"I don't think the Mole
is 20 or 25, because you have to be mentally strong. So I still think
Moniek."
Mon:"Guy or Reggy. Guy didn't jump, likes wine a lot, but
fails at the wine tasting challenge."
Guy:"From the beginning my Mole is Sylvie. And if it is
someone else, congratulations to that man or woman."
Sylvie:"It seems like Guy doesn't want to cooperate, but I
don't know why."
Reggy:"I've never chosen a man to be the Mole and I'm still
in the game, so I guess I'm right about that."
Belle:"I've always thought Hugo, because he pushes everything
in one particular way."
Hugo:"I deliberatley tried not to be in a group with Magda
today. We'll see if I'm right about her being the Mole."
suspicious for the
viewers:
In the humour challenge Sylvie didn't cooperate and Magda and
Mon gossiped about Hugo in the open. Hugo doesn't admit
this in front of the camera.
Sylvie was caught in the maze. Guy was her guide.
Belle suddenly didn't know the difference between left and right.
The Execution

REGGY
Reggy has to go. As he goes away we hear the song 'I did it my way' which he sang at the karaoke evening. And the last words of the song are sang by Reggy, because while jumping from the bridge in the second episode, he yelled 'I did it my way'.
