Australian Mole 3
Episode 6

Joe the bodybuilder got eliminated. He was wrong about who he thought was The
Mole.
Day 12
The
host asks which one of them is used to having their photo taken. Crystal-Rose
raises her hand. She's a model, so she is used to it. Her challenge is to
disguise herself and hide from her team mates in Warner Brothers Movie World.
She takes a look around to see which character she can play. She can use all
costumes in the amusement park. If her team mates find her, they win $5,000. But
if they can't find her, she'll win an exemption. But instead of dressing up as a
cartoon character, she tries to blend in into the crowd. She asks a family if
she can play the aunt of the family. The family is glad to help. Crystal-Rose
will be transformed by one of Australia's most experienced special effects
artist. Crystal-Rose will put on weight and become 20 years older. She
gets a fake nose, freckles, shading roudn the eyes, coloured lenses, a wig,
glasses and a fat suit. It's taken her two hours.
The others have another assignment first. They go downstairs,
where they find two limo's At each limousine, there is a bodyguard with a
suitcase, containing $2,500. So that's a total of $5,000. They have to spend all
the money in 3 hours time to win $5,000. But they are not allowed to waste it,
they can't give it away and can't buy objects they can own. They are also not
allowed to spend more than $1,000 for each thing they use it for. There are two
groups and each group has to spend $2,500. They can't spend the money on the
same thing, so they have to contact each other about what they have done with
the money.
Group 1:

Ann-Maree
Bob
David
Group 2:

Marc
Pete
Alaina
They look into phonebooks to find things they can spend money
on. Pete calls a shop and asks what their most expensive wine costs. It's
only $30.
Ann-Maree calls Alaina and tells her they are going to book a
helicopter flight for half an hour. Alaina tells Ann-Maree that
they are going to a store with expensive alcoholic drinks.
Group 2 buys a bottle of wine for $500. Because they are not allowed to own
anything, they have to drink it all.
Group 1 takes the helicopter flight. It costs $1,000. It's a good way to spend
money, but the flight takes half an hour and they're already short on time.
There's a bit more than 2 hours to go and group 2 still has $2,000 to spend.
They rent a recording studio for half an hour, which costs $600.
Group 1 spend $1,000 for a cruise which takes an hour. But that's a lot of time
and they still have $500 to spend.
Group 2 rent a luxury room at a hotel with a massage for everyone and a very
luxurious lunch. Marc leafs through the phonebook to find something to
spend their last $400 on. He comes up with the idea of buying an expensive
antique stamp and posting it. But first they have to finish lunch. Three
courses, but only 20 minutes to go, so they can't really enjoy it and have to
stuff it all in.
Group 1 is still stuck on the boat. They're almost out of time and out of ideas.
They call the others to ask what they have done and what they are going to do
with their last $400. Marc tells him they are going to buy old stamps. David
asks him if he has any ideas left. Marc suggests hiring a Harley, but
there's not enough time left for that. He then suggests to buy perfume and just
splash it all over themselves. Bob says it's wasting money to buy perfume
and cover it all over them.
Marc, Pete and Alaina enter an antique stamps shop. They
want to put it on an envelope and post it. They feel really bad about it,
because the stamps are really worth a lot. Marc licks the old stamp and
puts it on the envelope. They feel bad when they throw the envelope in the mail
box.
Ann-Maree, Bob and David buy scratchies. They scratch all
of the scratchies and each winning lot has to be used to buy another scratchie,
until all of the money is gone. The three of them are scratching like crazy,
because they haven't got much time left.
Group 2 arrives back at the host first and tell him what they
used the money on. Group 1 also arrives and they also tell him what they have
done. The host tells them they have precisely spent $5,000 and congratulates
them. However, he wants to know where group 2 posted the stamps to. Marc:"We
posted it back to the guy we bought it from." Host:"Isn't that
the same as a gift?" Marc:"No, because they were
used."
Host:"Do you think a used antique stamp will be worthless or just
worth less? Also a $0.45 postage fee, that got payed with a $400 stamp, is
wastage."
They lose out on the $5,000
CC
Bob:"One of the rules was no wastage. How stupid can you be to
spend all that money on those stamps and just post it away? I don't know who had
the idea to buy the stamps, because they didn't want to talk about it."
Pete:"Thinking back, you do think gees... posting an old
stamp won't lose it's value. But we couldn't think clear about it anymore,
because we had a few wines. You're caught up in the moment."
Marc:"Alaina and Pete had a lot of time to think about the
stamp idea. They could have said it was a bad idea, but they didn't."
Crystal-Rose's disguise is complete and the challenge is
about to start. But there's bad news for Crystal-Rose: it's raining and
there aren't many people out in the park. The others have to split in three
groups of 2 and try to find Crystal-Rose and take a photograph of her.
David and Bob team up. Alaina and Marc go together
and Ann-Maree tries to find Crystal-Rose together with Pete.
The family Crystal-Rose is hanging out with, got a home video camera so
they can film everything. They are 50 meters away from Bob and David,
but instead of turning left, they go right. Just a few minutes into the game and
it could have been all over already.
CC
Crystal-Rose:"I just had to make sure I was occupied with the
family. That was the main objective, to look like I was not watching at the
people."
Marc and Alaina are walking through a street. Marc:"She
could walk just straight past us without us even noticing. She could be dressed
like a tree or something too instead of a human."
Crystal-Rose and the family are in the Loony Tunes park, right in
sight of Bob and David. They walk straight towards Crystal-Rose
and David says:"Dude, she's right there!"
And then they walk past the family to another girl they thought was Crystal-Rose.
They walked past her within a range of 2 meters!
CC
Crystal-Rose:"When they went past me, I was absolutely
petrified, because they looked directly. I was full of tension and my stumach
was like a big knot and my eyes must have been popping out of my head!"
She has lasted 15 minutes so far. Another 15 minutes to go. Alaina
and Marc meet Bob and David. Alaina and Marc
now walk into the Loony Tunes Park. Alaina:"She could be
disguised as one of the characters." Marc:"No, that's
too obvious." Alaina:"It's too obvious, so therefor it's
the perfect disguise."
Pete takes a picture of a movie character, which looks like Crystal-Rose,
but Ann-Mareesays she hasn't got the same kind of mouth.
Crystal-Roseis still at Loony Tunes Park and she's having her photo taken
with her fake family. Alaina and Marc are walking straight towards
them. Alaina:"Watch out Marc, those people are taking a
picture!" And so they turn right just in front of Crystal-Rose and
walk off.
CC
Crystal-Rose:"Here comes Alaina and Marc, walking straight into
our direction and I was just thinking 'OK, be composed... Just smile and look
into the camera.' And I saw them getting closer and closer and then Alaina said
'Oh look out they're taking a photograph, don't walk in their picture.' I can't
believe they didn't recognize me, because I still thought I looked like
myself."
Time's almost up. The group take some photos of people that look like her, but they're wrong. Time's up. Crystal-Rose has won an exemption. The group has lost out on $5,000. Her plan worked like a dream.
Day 12
Early in the morning, their challenge is to get to the top of a
very long and steep hill, 30 km away. They start with 4 bicycles and 2 scooters.
Along the way, they have to answer questions. If they answer them correctly,
they get more scooters. If it's incorrectly, they have to trade scooters for
bicycles. They have 2 hours to reach the top. Only 6 of them have to get to the
top. Ann-Maree chooses to opt out. They can win $10,000 with this
challenge. Before the others start, the host gives them their first question.
They have to give the correct answer at the next stop. The question is: What
number do you have if you add all the odd numbers from 0 to 30?
If they can give the correct answer, they get another scoot. If not, they have
to hand in a scooter and get a bicycle. Bob and Crystal-Rose are
on the scooters, the rest is on bicycles. Everyone is counting. Pete sums
up each odd number for David to add it.
They are going half of the speed needed to reach the top in 2 hours. Then the
chain comes off of David's bike.
They arrive at the first stop and give the correct answer, which is 25. They get
another scooter.
For the next question they will see plates alongside the road.
Each one will have a state of the USA on it. At the next stop they have to
recall 40 states. David changes his bike for the scooter. If they can sum
up 40 states at the next stop, they will earn 3 scooters. But if they fail, 3
scooters will be taken away. They are focusing on the signs next to the road,
but are also in a race against time.
Marc:"Alaina's got to swop from a bike to a scooter!"
Alaina:"If you really want me to swop, I'll swop. I just
think that Bob and Crystal-Rose are slower than me on a bike, that's all."
Alaina rides next to Crystal-Rose:"We've got to swop,
because according to Marc I'm holding you all up."
Marc:"No offence."
Alaina:"If you want me to stop, I'll stop. Because you're the
boss and all."
Marc:"I'm not."
Alaina:"We'll stop just around that corner."
Marc:"We'll stop at the next stop."
Pete sings:"Love is in the air."
Alaina:"Well you made me feel like **** now, I don't really
want to keep riding."
Marc:"I'm not trying to make you feel like ****, I just told
you three times."
Alaina:"Exactly, so I'm going to stop right now, whether you
like it or not. You f***ing want me to stop, I'm stopping." She stops
and throws the bike to the ground. "You don't get to choose everything,
alright? You f***!"
David quickly stops his scooter and exchanges helmets with Alaina.
Alaina:"Just remember I don't know how to ride this thing."
David goes on Crystal-Rose's scooter and she takes Alaina's
bike.
David teaches Alaina how to ride the scooter:"You pull
this handle to go forward." They go forward. Alaina:"Can
you show me where the break is?!"
The change-over cost them time, but the time lost at the change-over is
nothing compared to the time they are about to lose. She hasn't been instructed
that well how to ride it and suddenly drives off of the road, trying to stop
herself with her feet. She barely manages to miss a tree and falls downhill in
the verge of the road. She starts crying and Marc asks if she's alright
and tells her she can go back on the bike and he will take over if she wants. Alaina:"I
couldn't turn it to the right, I'm not heavy enough." Marc:"Alright,
then you ride the bike." Alaina:"I don't want to ride
the bike, I don't want to do either one. It's hard to concentrate when someone
like you has just ditched out and been really really degrading. Instead of
saying 'Alaina, maybe it's a good idea to swop.' you say 'Stop! You're slowing
us down!'. That's unreasonable!"
Marc:"You've done a fantastic job up the hill, but it's just
logical we have the women on the scooters and the men on the bike. It's
logical."
Crystal-Rose:"No, no, sorry. One of us is going on the bikes
and one of us on the scooter."
Marc:"I know that, but I'm just saying it's more logical to
have the three strongest on the bikes."
Crystal-Rose:"Who's saying that you are stronger than us?!
We're holding this conversation hear ok?" And they go back on their
bikes and scooters.
Bob:"This is not the time to start discussing who's the strongest
and who's the weakest!"
They have only done one third of the distance, but already used half of the
time. After all the discussion and argueing, Alaina's still crying a bit.
And she's staying on the scooter and Crystal-Rose is staying on the bike.
And they're off again.
Marc tells Crystal-Rose that he thinks some people should put
aside their ego for the sake of the game.
5 minutes later, Crystal-Rose has run out of puff from cycling so hard. Bob
calms her down a bit and she thinks she can handle it again. She sets of
strongly, but only 2 minutes later, she gives up. Everyone has stopped again. Alaina
takes over again from Crystal-Rose.
A lot of things have happened along the way, but they still have to sum up 40
states The first 36 states go great. Alaina says another state they
didn't have already, bringing it up to 37. Then they sum up some of the states
they already had. After a while they do get up with three other states and they
win the three remaining scooters.
Everyone is on scooters now and they 21 minutes left and 10 km
to go. They would never manage it on the bicycles, but it should go very easy on
the scooters. Unless something goes wrong...
After a while they have 3 km to go and 6 minutes to do it in. Suddenly
something's wrong with Alaina's bike. The fuel light is on, meaning that
she's almost out of fuel and she can barely move with the scooter. And as if
that wasn't enough, her nerves are still cracking her up. She has still got a
lot of nerves from when she fell into the verge and starts crying again:"I'm
so scared. I'm just petrified of driving in the edge."
Bob is on Alaina's scooter now and he too has got problems
with it. Bob:"It's the scooter." Alaina:"I
know it was the scooter. It wasn't me."
Bob comes to a stand and can't get the scooter started anymore. They
are 500 meters away from the finish line. David suggests to push the
scooter up the hill. They have less than two minutes to go. Bob and David
share a scooter together and they're off again. 75 seconds left and the finish
line is 200 meters away. But they make it on time, with one minute to spare. The
host has just one question left for them:"How much was this challenge
worth?"
They all say it's $10,000. Host:"Then that is what you get!"
CC
Alaina:"Marc ruined the whole thing for me. What would have been
fun, became a nightmare, because after the accident I was really petrified the
whole way up the mountain. Marc is definitely at the top of my list for The
Mole. He seems to have the upper hand in every challenge we do."
Suspicions
Ann-Maree:"I think The Mole is doing an absolutely superb job. My
suspect again is first Marc. And then Alaina."
Bob:"I have suspicion on Marc. A very big suspicion. I'm also
riding on Ann-Maree. She runs off her mouth a bit much and doesn't hear anybody
else and cuts everybody else off early."
Marc:"I still think Alaina is a strong chance. Crystal-Rose
is also coming into the picture for me. I've just got a gut feeling that Crystal
is The Mole."
David:"Marc is either playing to preten to be the mole or is
the Mole. There's a fair chance Crystal could be The Mole because of her act at
Warner Brothers Movie Park."
While everyone else is doing the questionnaire, Crystal-Rose can relax with her exemption. But the host wants to make a deal with her. He offers her $20,000 towards the prize kitty if she gives up her exemption and fills out the questionnaire too. She refuses.
Suspicious in this episode
Marc's idea to buy stamps
and post them, was wasting money. Pete nor Alaina thought about
that. It lost them the challenge.
Crystal-Rose dressed up a bit too well,
costing the group $5,000.
Bob and David and Alaina and Marc walker towards Crystal-Rose
twice, but didn't see her.
Marc is very degrading to Alaina and she gets angry at him for
that.
Alaina isn't told by anyone how to ride the scooter and drives off the
road into the verge.
Crystal-Rose gives up two times because she's out of breath.
Alain's scooter breaks down.
Elimination
Crystal-Rose
is safe from elimination. The host tells the others she had the chance to
add $20,000 to the kitty if she gave up her exemption and that she refuses. The
others don't seem to mind that much.
