Australian Mole 3
Episode 2

Janet was the first person to leave. 11 people remain. 10 genuine contestants and one Mole.

Day 3
They will be going for a walk to the top of a hill where they will be camping for the night. They have to split up in 3 groups. Each group gets a map and on their way they will find two locations where they will find everthying they need. But it's not that simple. What they don't know, is that on their way, they will find bags with camping gear, but also an envelope with money. They have to choose what they will take along with them, the money or the camping gear.
The three teams are:

Marc                          Ann-Maree              Alaina                        John

Bob                            Yasmin                      Joe                            Crystal-Rose

Pete                           David                         Thao

They start off and after a while, Thao says she's having a difficult time breathing, because the conditions aren't good for her asthma.
Joe, Crystal-Rose, Yasmin and Bob arrive at the first location with camping gear. The first three immediately look into the bag, but Bob finds the envelope pinned on the tree. They open it and find a voucher worth $1,000 and a letter saying they can either choose the money or the bag, which contains one tent and 4 sleeping bags. They have to think about it.
Marc, Ann-Maree, Alaina and John also find their location. They can choose between $1,000 or the bag with insect repellant, mosquito nets, 6 camping matresses, toilet paper, towels and a tent. Alaina:"We've got to take something up, because we're staying up there." Marc:"But why can't we just go for the money and stay up there for one night with nothing?" Alaina:"For $1,000? It's not worth it." Ann-Maree takes the voucher out of Alaina's hands and puts it back on the tree.
The map that Thao, David and Pete are using, tells them that their first location of gear is next to a tree. They arrive at the tree, but David and Thao walk past it. Pete takes a look as Thao says:"Come on!" but Pete has found the bag. They have the choice between $1,000 or 11 torches, cutlery and cups, can openers, pots and pans. David says that if they have to spend the night, they need food, so they take the supplies instead of the money.
The first group is still deciding on what to choose. Joe wants to go for the money and so does Bob. Yasmin agrees to go for the money, much to Crystal-Rose's regret. Teh're leaving behind a tent and 4 sleeping bags, but they've got $1,000.
Thao, David and Pete find the second location. They decide to go for the money instead of the tent poles and 4 sleeping bags. Thao tries to change the guys' minds, but David says they have got to take some money with them. "Or else, what's the point of coming on the damn show?"
Joe, Crystal-Rose, Yasmin and Bob find a backpack with steak, wine and beer. They immediately go for the food instead of the money.
Marc, Ann-Maree, Alaina and John have a choice between the money or matches, BBQ, gas bottle, cooker and 3 sleeping bags. They go for the gear and continue up the hill. Ann-Maree is 60 and has a hard time getting up the hill. John at 72 is coping better.
They have left behind 4 of the voucher. They're night out in the open is costing them $4,000. Thao, David and Pete arrive first, followed by Marc, Ann-Maree, Alaina and John. They set up the tent, but they don't have any poles or pegs. They're also wondering whether the other team has got food, or they won't have any fun with their BBQ and cooker.
Later that evening, the host arrives with the other bags containing sleeping bags, another tent and all the poles and pegs. He suggests they can have it for $2,000. But they don't go for it. The host asks the vouchers. They give him 3, but Bob can't find the fourth one. They only get the money if they hand in the voucher for it. Everyone searches for the voucher. Has it been mislaid or has it been stolen?

CC
Alaina
:"I definitely think ti's a Mole action. It's possible that it accidentally went missing, but we had a good look aroudn there."
Crystal-Rose:"I don't think it was an accident. Not one bit. It was not an accident at all."

They check each others' bags, but can't find it anywhere. It was in Bob's backpack, but it's gone. The host tells them that's another $1,000 gone. David:"That absolutely sucks." Bob:"Who's done it, man, come on!" Thao:"Well, obviously it was The Mole."
Later that night some of them are able to sleep, but some are not. Some of the guys are still talking about what happened.
Bob:"All 10 out of the 11 dropped their guard."
David:"Yeah we thought we were home free."
Bob:"We thought we had the money and it was over."
David:"And then you start to realize the Mole is amongst us."
Joe:"Everyone has started to think straight away now. You can't even trust the person you're in the same room with."
David:"I feel totally bloody betrayed. No matter what we have discussed as a group, I'm thinking only about myself now."
Bob:"The Mole has changed every single one of us!In one night he's changed everything"

Day 4
The next morning they all seem to have forgotten about it as they're all having fun in the swimming pool. They have to choose which three people think they have good night vision. Alaina, Pete and Yasmin volunteer. They will be snipers, trying to shoot their team mates. They are taken to an abandoned shopping centre. They will be armed with laser guns and will be in contact with each other by radio. Their team mates will have half an hour to hunt them down and shoot them too. Before then, the three have some time to work out a strategy and place some diversions. Armourer John Fox is helping them. He tells them where they can place boobietraps to scare the others, diffuse them or disorientate them. There's only one part that leads from downstairs to upstairs. There's also a theater, which only has one way in and out. They place some devices which, if someone walks in the wire, sets of a big bang. The three will get $1,000 for the kitty for every team mate they shoot. The team mates however, will be desperate to hunt them down, because each of the three who are still alive after the half hour, will get a free pass.
The snipers have an electric equivalent of a claymore. If it starts flashing red, they have 30 seconds to get out of the way, because after 30 seconds a ray will come out, eleminating everyone in the way.
They start of. The three snipers are in total darkness, filmed with night vision cameras. The boobietraps have been set and it's showtime.
Bob and David have teamed up. Both of them seem to take it very seriously and the macho in them comes to the surface.
John and Ann-Maree are at the ground floor. Ann-Maree whispers to John"OK on the count of thre, go that post. Don't run, walk fast. One,..." But John walks off already.
Alaina and Yasmin are together. Pete is somewhere else. Yasmin:"I'm curious to know how they teamed up, because of couple of the guys can be a bit macho."
David and Bob run into a room and kick in all doors shouting "GO! GO! CLEAR!"
Marc and Crystal-Rose come across a claymore and run back to avoid it's beam. The claymore goes off and they're safe, but suddenly somewhere else behind them an explosion goes off. It was Ann-Maree who set off, tripping over the wire. Everyone startles. More explosions go off. Joe and Thao are the other pair, who sneakily go through the warehouse instead of making loud noise like Bob and David.
Ann-Maree and John walk up a stairs. They don't know Peteis around the corner. He shoots Ann-Maree and they try to find where it came from instead of running away, so John immediately gets hit by Pete too. Pete tells the other two girls he shot Ann-Maree and John. The girls are playing it safe. They hide from their team mates instead of shooting them. Pete is playing a riskier game, by trying to shoot the others he brings in money, but he also risks being shot himself.
Another explosion goes off and Marc starts shooting into the darkness. They continue on, find another boobietrap, but they step over the wire. They are heading to the stairs to go to level 3. They don't know it yet, but that's the place where Pete's at. Both of them get shot. The snipers have 5 more minutes to go. If they survive that, they will all win free passes.
Bob and David are heading towards Alaina and Yasmin without knowing it, while Thao and Joe are closing in on Pete. Joe has seen Pete. All three start shooting at each other. Thao is hit, but Joe stays alert and shoots Pete:"Bloody girls! I'm out." Hinting to Alaina and Yasmin who haven't shot a single person. The girls have 3 minutes left, but Bob and David are close. The girls run into the cinema to hide, but set off the alarm wire they set themselves. They go into the cinema and find a toilet, where they hide in. They have less than two minutes to go. Bob and David enter the cinema. They open the door and start shooting. Both girls are hit. They had just 30 seconds left and they would've got an exemption. But they got shot. $5,000 goes to the kitty. It was all thanks to one person: Pete.

CC
John
:"I thought Pete was a good contender for The Mole and yet he shot five people. You're not going to win us a lot of dollars if you're the Mole. But then you've got the two girls hiding in the toilet. What does that say about earning dollars for us?"
Yasmin:"One of the wires was tripped and that drove them towards us. And when you have people hunting after you with guns it almost becomes real life. You're fighting for your life.In this game an exemption is a life line."

Day 5
It's breakfast and i nfront of each chair is an envelope. They all open it. Some of them contain targets, some have a question mark. The people that have the target will spend the day shooting clay pigeons. It's John, Thao, David, Pete and Joe. They will be trained by a dual olympic gold medalist: Michael Diamond (see pic). They get some practice. After that, they will have to shoot 5 clay pigeons each. Each target will be worth $1,000. So between the five of them, they could win $25,000. However there's a small problem: Thao. She's very nervous to shoot and says she can't lift the gun and hates guns.
But winning the money will be up to their team mates, because Yasmin has to decide, who of the other 5 will have to answer a question. They only get the money of the number of clay pigeons shot, if the answer is correct.
The first category is Hollywood Celebrities. Yasmin decides to choose Crystal-Rose.
The question: "Other than Richard Burton, name one of Elizabeth Taylor's husbands."
Crystal-Rose:"Larry Fortensky?" She chooses Pete to shoot for her. He hits 3 out of 5. The question was answered correctly, so tey win $3,000.

Yasmin has to appoint someone for the next categroy: Aussie Icons. She goes for Bob, who immediately starts laughing.
Question: "What were legendary last words of Ned Kelly? a) I have no regrets b) Such is life c) See you in hell d) Long live the Irish." Bobgoes for C and chooses Joe, who misses ALL clay pigeons. But it wasn't that bad, because the correct answer was b) Such is life.

Next category: Fashion
Yasmin chooses: Ann-Maree
Question: "What was the bikini named after? a) The Italian word for small b) a nuclear test site c) the designer who created it d) nothing, it was made up."
Ann-Maree guesses a) The Italian word for small. and chooses David, who hits 3 out of 5 clay pigeons for a potential $3,000. However, the answer was wrong! The correct answer was b) a nuclear test site.

Next category: Olympics
Yasmin chooses: Alaina
Question: "A gentleman named Michael Diamond has represented Australia at the Olympics. What's his event? a) clay pigeon b) men's clay c) clay trap d) men's track."
She things it's d) men's track and chooses John to shoot. He hits 1 target and Alaina was correct! Another $1,000.

There's one more question and Thao is the only shooter left. The question is for Marc.
Question: "On the Olympic flag, which color is the ring in the middle of the top row?"
Marc goes for blue. During the training, Thao could barely lift her gun, but now she hits 2 targets of the 5! However, Marc was wrong. The ring in the middle of the top row is black.
They win a total of $4,000.

CC
Thao
:"It's obvious that The Mole would deliberately miss the targets. Joe was a really good shooter during the practice sessions, but then when it really mattered he didn't hit a single one."
Marc:"The biggest stuff up had to be Bob's answer to the question. I would have thought that every single Australian would know Ned Kelly's last words."
Crystal-Rose:"My suspicion's lay with Marc. It's common knowledge that the black ring is in the middle. We learned that at kindergarten for crying out loud!"

Suspicions
Marc
:"If I had to pick one of the major suspects, I would be pointing the finger at Yasmin. Firstly, she was present when Bob took the $1,000 voucher in the bag, where it was stolen from. Secondly, she was just finding a quiet spot in the supermarket looking at her own interests and not putting any money in the kitty."
Thao:"I was thinking that Bob is The Mole. That's really hard to deal with on an emotional level, because we've gotten really close and it hurts thinking about how he could be betraying me behind my back. The more I think about it, the more I think that it is him."

Suspicious in this episode
Marc
, Ann-Maree, Alaina and John were the only team who didn't bring any money with them on the hill.
Bob must have been very uncareful, letting $1,000 be stolen out of his bag.
Ann-Maree and John were shot in a stupid way, which could have been avoided.
Alainaand Yasmindon't shoot anyone to win any money, but they hide in the toilet instead.
Marc, Ann-Maree and Bob answer their questions wrong.
Joe doesn't hit a single clay pigeon. Johnonly hits one.
