Challenge 1
Each of the group select an envelope. The one who chooses
the marked envelope (Brooke) is taken away and locked up in a prison
cell, within a ghost town. It is up to the rest of the group to rescue Brooke
and take her to Grant at the train station to win the challenge. Within
the ghost town are two snipers with laser guns. If any of the players get
hit with a laser gun, they are out of the game. The twist to the game is
that Brooke also has a laser gun within her prison cell and she is given
the choice to double-cross her own team mates. She can do this by shooting
them and arriving at the train station alone. If she chooses to do this,
she wins a free pass to the next episode and the group don't win any money. Michael
is the only contestant who has not been shot He manages to get Brooke
very close to the train station. There's just a few metres left, but she
shoots him for the free pass. No $10,000...
Challenge 2
The streets of a town are cleared for the next challenge.
The one who received their drivers license the most recently (Emily) has
to complete a driving test. The three who are best with directions (Brooke,
Mal & Michael) are taken to a control room. The
remaining person (Hal) is sent to the Town Hall. Emily is taken to
the car she is going to do her drivers test in. It is completely
blacked-out - meaning she can't see outside any of the windows. The car is
mounted with a racing car camera. The three who are best with directions
are to use the camera to assist Emily. Michael is given the
directions, Brooke controls the camera by remote control and Mal
gives the instructions via two-way radio to Emily. During the test,
Emily must pick up Hal from the town hall She can't make more than
four driving errors and must complete the test within 30 minutes.
Result: Emily picks up Hal and completes the test easily
within the time, but a number of driving errors were made during the test.
Challenge 3
The group do their individual interviews with Grant like every
other episode. However, in this episode, Grant is interrupted during the
interview, but leaves his production notes on the table. The players
contract states that they are not allowed to read any production notes related
to the show. Hidden cameras capture which contestants break the rules of
the game and have a peak at the production notes left behind. Each person
that doesn't look earns the group $5,000, but $5,000 is lost for every person
who does look. Brooke and Michael are honest and don't look at the
production notes, but the other three do, overall losing the group $5,000.
